Wildhorse Golf Club
Wildhorse Golf Club is located about fifteen miles outside of Las Vegas in Henderson. The course offers 18 holes with water features that make it a bit more challenging than other courses on our list.
The 18th hole is a par four and has a reputation of being one of the most difficult in the area. The grounds are well-maintained, and the view of the mountains in the background is top-notch. In the past, this golf course has served as a spot on the PGA tour.
The green fees are very reasonable, with prices starting at under $60 – a great deal for a course of this quality. Rental clubs, a practice bunker, and an on-site pro are available. If you want to improve your game, the Wildhorse Academy will set you up with lessons.

This is also one of the cheaper golf courses in the Las Vegas Valley, where a full 18 holes will cost less than two cocktails at one of the restaurants or bars on Las Vegas Blvd.
We also like that junior rates are available for younger players, which also makes this a great golf course for a family outing.

Las Vegas National Golf
If you want to golf on a course that holds many pieces of Las Vegas history, the Las Vegas National Golf Course is the place to be. Tiger Woods had his first PGA Tour victory here, and Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack were known to spend time on the greens back in the day as well.
To top it off, the course is beautiful, lined with many trees, including a few palm trees in very strategic spots. Water features on four holes add to the challenge, along with five par 3 holes.
This isn’t the longest golf course, but it is sizable, at 6,700 yards. The course is a par 71, and we would say it’s best suited for experienced to advanced players.

Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort doesn’t offer a single golf course but three. You can reserve a time at either Sun Mountain Course, Snow Mountain Course, or the Wolf. Our opinion is that each of these three courses is challenging in its own way.
Sun Mountain is the short course of the group, but not by much, and it’s still very generously sized at 7,112 yards with mountains in the backdrop. Snow Mountain is slightly larger and is the original course on the property. Plus, it offers the best par 3s of all courses.
Then, there’s the Wolf, which is the newest and arguably the most challenging of the three. It’s also the longest golf course in the state of Nevada, so it’s best suited for serious golfers.
Paiute Golf Resort offers a glimpse of every hole of every course on its website so you can get an idea of what you’re getting yourself into and strategize on how to play each hole.
This is more expensive than others on this list, but it’s still a great bargain for the level of course that you’re playing. Off-season rates start at $89 for times after 2 pm. The highest rates are in the morning. During peak season, rates jump to $169+ depending on the time and day.
