It’s hard to say that one month of the year is the best time to come to Vegas, but October has got to be towards the top of that hypothetical list! Whether you need a frightening adventure to occupy your Halloween weekend, an intriguing live performance, or a festival you’ll never forget, Las Vegas has it all.

October is filled with some of the largest events of the year. There are so many concerts, festivals, live shows, and events to choose from. No matter what type of Las Vegas fun you’re looking for, there’s sure to be something on this list that’s the perfect fit!

Rise Lantern Festival

The Rise Lantern Festival has become an attraction for Las Vegas locals and international travelers alike. You have two chances to attend this unique and exciting event. The festival takes place on October 7th and 8th in the middle of the desert outside of Las Vegas.

Attendees can find parking for the festival at Jean Dry Lake Bed. Both dates have the same order of events, but more guests typically attend the second date. This is one of the few Las Vegas events that are suitable for guests of all ages too!

Guests are encouraged to arrive between 3 and 4 PM. Around this time, guests will be able to enjoy live music, a variety of food vendors, and a great community of uplifting individuals. As the sun sets, guests will be able to write a message on personal paper lanterns.

The lanterns are then lit and released into the sky in unison. The sight of lanterns filling the sky is truly remarkable! The festival ends between 9 and 10 PM. View more event details and purchase presale tickets here.
