It’s hard to say that one month of the year is the best time to come to Vegas, but October has got to be towards the top of that hypothetical list! Whether you need a frightening adventure to occupy your Halloween weekend, an intriguing live performance, or a festival you’ll never forget, Las Vegas has it all.
October is filled with some of the largest events of the year. There are so many concerts, festivals, live shows, and events to choose from. No matter what type of Las Vegas fun you’re looking for, there’s sure to be something on this list that’s the perfect fit!
Rise Lantern Festival
The Rise Lantern Festival has become an attraction for Las Vegas locals and international travelers alike.
Unfortunately, for 2024, there is no Rise Festival scheduled. The next one is scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2025.

Attendees can find parking for the festival at Jean Dry Lake Bed. Both dates have the same order of events, but more guests typically attend the second date. This is one of the few Las Vegas events that are suitable for guests of all ages, too!
Guests are encouraged to arrive between 3 and 4 PM. Around this time, guests will be able to enjoy live music, a variety of food vendors, and a great community of uplifting individuals. As the sun sets, guests will be able to write a message on personal paper lanterns.
The lanterns are then lit and released into the sky in unison. The sight of lanterns filling the sky is truly remarkable! The festival ends between 9 and 10 PM. View more event details and purchase presale tickets here.
Las Vegas Pride

The LGBTQIA+ community has been a part of Las Vegas culture for a long time. From drag brunch shows to gay clubs that allow everyone to express their true self, Vegas has no shortage of love for the community! It only makes sense that there are dedicated Las Vegas events meant to show support for the community.
The Las Vegas Pride Parade is set to happen in Downtown Las Vegas on October 11th. The parade will kick off at 7 PM, but guests are encouraged to come earlier to enjoy great food and live performances. The main stage for the pride parade will be at 4th Street and Bridger Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.
The next day, the celebration continues at the Las Vegas Pride Festival! The festival is held at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Families, singles, couples, and allies of the community are welcomed to join in a day of fabulous LGBT fun. View the latest updates and a full list of Las Vegas Pride events here.
