It’s hard to say that one month of the year is the best time to come to Vegas, but October has got to be towards the top of that hypothetical list! Whether you need a frightening adventure to occupy your Halloween weekend, an intriguing live performance, or a festival you’ll never forget, Las Vegas has it all.

October is filled with some of the largest events of the year. There are so many concerts, festivals, live shows, and events to choose from. No matter what type of Las Vegas fun you’re looking for, there’s sure to be something on this list that’s the perfect fit!

Rise Lantern Festival

The Rise Lantern Festival has become an attraction for Las Vegas locals and international travelers alike.

Unfortunately, for 2024, there is no Rise Festival scheduled. The next one is scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2025.

Attendees can find parking for the festival at Jean Dry Lake Bed. Both dates have the same order of events, but more guests typically attend the second date. This is one of the few Las Vegas events that are suitable for guests of all ages, too!

Guests are encouraged to arrive between 3 and 4 PM. Around this time, guests will be able to enjoy live music, a variety of food vendors, and a great community of uplifting individuals. As the sun sets, guests will be able to write a message on personal paper lanterns.

The lanterns are then lit and released into the sky in unison. The sight of lanterns filling the sky is truly remarkable! The festival ends between 9 and 10 PM. View more event details and purchase presale tickets here.

Las Vegas Pride

Las Vegas Pride Parade 2024

The LGBTQIA+ community has been a part of Las Vegas culture for a long time. From drag brunch shows to gay clubs that allow everyone to express their true self, Vegas has no shortage of love for the community! It only makes sense that there are dedicated Las Vegas events meant to show support for the community.

The Las Vegas Pride Parade is set to happen in Downtown Las Vegas on October 11th. The parade will kick off at 7 PM, but guests are encouraged to come earlier to enjoy great food and live performances. The main stage for the pride parade will be at 4th Street and Bridger Avenue in downtown Las Vegas.

The next day, the celebration continues at the Las Vegas Pride Festival! The festival is held at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Families, singles, couples, and allies of the community are welcomed to join in a day of fabulous LGBT fun. View the latest updates and a full list of Las Vegas Pride events here.

This year, when celebrating Halloween, give one of these frightening adventures a try during your Las Vegas trip in October. Trust us, this is a spooky holiday you’ll never forget!

Saw Escape Room

The Saw movie franchise is filled with frightening storylines of characters that have to escape the twisted world of Jigsaw to save their own life. With 9 movies to draw inspiration from, it’s no surprise that the Saw Escape Room in Las Vegas has been named the #1 escape room in the country. This multiroom, immersive experience lasts for more than an hour!

Fetish and Fantasy Sin City Halloween Ball

Sin City Halloween Ball

The Fetish and Fantasy Halloween Ball invites 2,600 lucky attendees to celebrate on October 26th at Virgin Hotel. Free drinks, live performances, and a costume-filled night you’ll never forget are included with your ticket. This is the best of the best when it comes to Las Vegas events with a Halloween theme.

  • Los Angeles Times says it’s “THE ONE PARTY YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS.”
  • “ONE OF THE TOP 10 EVENTS IN THE WORLD” by the Travel Channel
  • “ONE OF 5 EVENTS TO ATTEND BEFORE YOU DIE” by Maxim Magazine
  • “THE WORLDS WILDEST HALLOWEEN PARTY” by Bizarre Magazine.

Ghost Tours

Rather you’re a believer in ghosts or a skeptic, going on a ghost tour is never boring! Haunted Vegas Tour and Ghost Hunt is the leading ghost tour in Las Vegas. Attendees will get to use high-tech ghost hunting equipment and visit some of the most haunted houses and haunted locations in Vegas!

Halloveen at Opportunity Village

Get ready for a spooky takeover at the 2.5-acre theme park, where skeletons, pumpkins, and other eerie creatures rule the night. In the Magical Forest, you’ll wander through a cemetery with hundreds of uniquely decorated trees and jack-o-lanterns, making creepy new friends along the way. Expect some light-hearted fun with witches and ghosts welcoming you in this family-friendly event.

Here are some highlights:

  • Hop on rides and challenge yourself to a round of 8-hole mini-golf.
  • Enjoy nightly performances and stop by trick-or-treat stations.
  • Test your luck at the midway carnival games.
  • Shop for festive finds at The Holiday Shoppe and Neon Kiosks.
  • Grab food at various outlets or chill at the weekend Beer Garden for adults.

Las Vegas in October includes great weather, lower hotel rates, and plenty of events to attend. With so much to do and lower hotel prices than other times of the year, October fills up quickly.
