Park MGM Pool

The Park MGM Pool is a wonderful spot to swim, get some sun, and relax when you aren’t in your hotel room. Park MGM Las Vegas, formerly known as Monte Carlo Resort, is an MGM Resorts property within walking distance to T-Mobile Arena and many of the biggest attractions on the Las Vegas Strip.

Park MGM Las Vegas certainly isn’t the largest resort on the Strip, but there’s no doubt that the Park MGM pool deserves to be more well-known.

We’re excited to share all the details about this little-known Las Vegas pool area so you can start planning your perfect Park MGM pool day!

Park MGM Pool

The Park MGM pool is among the most underrated pools on S Las Vegas Blvd. For Las Vegas, the Park MGM pool complex could be considered mid-sized. It’s not the largest but definitely not the smallest with three pools.

In addition to the pools, the pool complex also features a hot tub for relaxing, two bars for poolside sipping, and cabanas & daybeds that can be rented for an additional fee.

Of all the pools at Park MGM, the North Pool is the largest and most lively. Our favorite part of this pool is that it’s completely surrounded by private cabanas, and you can often catch a poolside DJ spinning tunes to keep the energy high.

The East Pool is smaller than the Park MGM North Pool, but what you lose in space, you gain in a more exclusive atmosphere. If you’re someone who enjoys privacy and craves an elevated experience, there’s a VIP section at the East Pool, where you’ll be catered to. The smaller area of this pool and lounge area also means that the East Bar isn’t more than a few mere steps from the water.

The South Pool is, in our opinion, the most basic of the three pools. It does offer a unique aesthetic with a shape that’s square rather than the traditional rectangle. If a soak in a hot tub is on your itinerary, you’ll find the one hot tub in the pool complex located at the end of the South Pool.

Park MGM always has at least one pool open during the winter, and it’s usually the South End Pool – which makes a soak in the hot tub an even more indulgent experience.

Park MGM has all the amenities you expect from Las Vegas pools, including drink and towel service, cabanas, and daybeds. The pool area has a relaxed atmosphere that typically isn’t as crowded as other Strip hotels.

Hours

The pool is open from 9 AM to 6 PM daily during regular pool season. However its currently closed for construction. You can use the Nomad pool on the 4th floor instead.

At least one pool is open year-round, but the pool area feels much smaller during the winter when two of the pools are closed. In Las Vegas, seasonal pools often close around September or October and then open up again in March or April, depending on the weather.

Location

The pool area at Park MGM Las Vegas

The pool area at Park MGM Las Vegas is located on the resort’s first floor. When you enter the resort, pass through the lobby. You’ll walk past Primrose and guest services, then just keep going straight until you walk onto the pool deck.

Cost

Hotel guests staying at Park MGM can use the pool for free. Non-guests can use the pool, but there’s a small fee.

Drinks

There are two pool bars at Park MGM Las Vegas. The East Bar primarily serves guests at the East Pool, but anyone can walk over to order a drink. The second bar is located near the South Pool. If you rent a cabana, you’ll get poolside drink service for the ultimate day of relaxation.

The craft cocktails served at both Park MGM pool bars are expertly made. Some Las Vegas pool bars serve cocktails that are weaker or not as good as those served inside the resort, but that’s not the case at Park MGM Las Vegas. The prices at the bars are comparable to other pool bars on the Strip.

Dining

Most Park MGM Las Vegas restaurants are a bit of a walk from the pool area, but there is one exception. Primrose is a French-style restaurant with a beautifully decorated outdoor dining area. Primrose is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, with brunch every day until 2 PM! The restaurant is located right at the entrance of the pool area for convenient dining that won’t disrupt your fun in the sun.

The restaurant’s menu is quite diverse, but everything has been inspired by French cuisine in some way. From a quick bite of food before the pool to a full meal after a long day of swimming, Primrose has just the right dish to fit the occasion.

Cabanas and Daybeds

Cabanas and daybeds are available to rent at the Park MGM pool area. Reservations fill up quickly during peak season, so it’s recommended to reserve your rental in advance.

Daybeds can hold up to 4 people. Each daybed offers a comfortable spot to lounge that’s more private than a lounge chair. Under the daybed, there’s a safe for your personal belongings. We love daybed rentals because they offer a more affordable way to upgrade your pool experience!

A cabana can hold up to 10 people. Most cabanas are located around the North Pool at the Park MGM pool area. Each cabana rental includes a towel service and a personal bar service. While reserving a private cabana can be a bit pricey, nothing says “Las Vegas Celebration” quite like lounging by the pool with endless drinks delivered.

Cabana Amenities

In addition to towel and drink service, cabanas have amenities to enhance your Park MGM pool day. Inside the cabana, you’ll find a refrigerator, personal safe, TV, telephone, a dining table and chairs, and a ceiling fan to help keep you cool. There’s a spacious love seat for additional shaded seating too.

Each cabana has privacy curtains and an open floor plan that really makes the most of the space. The cabana opens directly onto a poolside patio with lounge chairs and a great view of the water.

Park Bungalow

If you’re really looking to splurge, the Park Bungalow can be reserved. The bungalow was designed to be an amped-up version of a poolside cabana, and it’s safe to say they succeeded! There are exclusive amenities with space for up to 20 guests. The Park Bungalow is popular for large bachelor, bachelorette, and birthday party celebrations.
