Pools at Planet Hollywood: Closed for Winter

Planet Hollywood features two pools with two pool decks and poolside bars to match. While both pool decks are fun, the Scene Pool Deck is the most popular spot in the pool area. Scene Pool Deck is located by the north pool, which is a family-friendly pool. 

Hotel guests can visit the pool deck for free, but non-hotel guests need a daybed or cabana reservation to enter. The deck is energetic, welcoming, and decorated to feel like a tropical oasis. 

The Flowrider is a professional free-standing wave machine. Guests can hop on a boogie board or surfboard and test their skills against the waves. It does cost extra to use the Flowrider, but the experience is worth the cost! Fees start at $25 for 30 minutes.

Guests must be at least 42 inches tall to ride the Flowrider. Nothing makes for an incredible Vegas Instagram moment like becoming a master of the waves!

Although there are free lounge chairs located around the Planet Hollywood pools, they fill up quickly during peak season. Daybed and cabana rentals are the perfect way to reserve your spot and get a bit of privacy by the pool without fighting for lounge chairs.

Daybed rentals include a canopy for sun protection and a comfortable spot to come back to when you’re done in the pool. You don’t get to choose which daybed you get. Daybeds are assigned based on the time you arrive on the day of your reservation.

A cabana rental includes two lounge chairs, comfortable furniture, and a TV for poolside relaxation. Poolside bottle service is available for an added cost.

Food 

The pool café menu at the rooftop pools is not the largest on Las Vegas Blvd, but it has the basics to keep you energized for continued fun in the sun. Food options include snacks, fruits, salads, and sandwiches, with everything priced below $15. 

The menu may be simple, but it’s delicious. The chicken Caesar and red oak salad is a popular choice, as well as the turkey, bacon, and white cheddar on ciabatta. 

Drinks

Although there are two separate pool decks and two pool bars, the drink menu is the same at the north pool and south pool. Choose from your favorite domestic, import, and craft beers, or cool off with a hard seltzer. 

The drink menu continues with several specialty cocktails, frozen drinks, and hand-crafted shots. Prices start at $20.99 for a small cocktail and $32.99 for a large souvenir cup with refills that cost $28.99.

If you prefer wine, there are bubbly, red, and white wines to choose from. VIP bottle service can elevate your pool day with three cocktail mixers and fresh fruit garnishes to enjoy.

The Planet Hollywood pools are not open year-round, and are currently closed for the winter. Most Las Vegas pools are open seasonally, and Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is no different. The typical pool season runs from March to October, but it can vary depending on the weather.

During pool season, the pools are open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.

You can access the Planet Hollywood pools on the sixth-floor rooftop of the hotel. The pool area offers Las Vegas Strip views. Of course, there’s not just one rooftop pool, though!

The north pool is located on the Scene Vegas Pool Deck and is open to all ages. The south pool is a 21-and-up experience with live DJ entertainment to keep the party going all day long.
