Sahara Las Vegas Pool

The Sahara Las Vegas pool offers more than one poolside experience for both hotel guests and visitors to the resort. There are three different pools at Sahara, each with its own atmosphere and attitude, but all of them are modern and beautiful.

In a city like Vegas, where entertainment and hospitality are the focus, the pool scene is a big part of the culture. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing afternoon in the sun, where you can sip cocktails poolside, a high-energy party scene, or a weekend escape, there’s a Sahara pool that offers exactly what you’re looking for.

Rooftop Pools

Sahara Las Vegas features pools with rooftop views offering a scenic, panoramic sight of the Strip, Downtown Las Vegas, and the Las Vegas mountains. There are few pools that offer such a panoramic view, especially pools that are open all year long, like the ones at Sahara.

Hotel guests have two rooftop pool options – the Alexandria Pool and the Retro Pool.

Alexandria Pool

The Alexandria Pool is what we could call the main pool area at Sahara. This rooftop pool is open to all ages, and while there can be a bit of a party vibe on the weekend, it’s generally a welcoming space for all ages during the week.

The Alexandria pool offers a place to splash, play, and lounge in the sun while you drink one of the freshly made signature cocktails from the poolside bar. The Alexandria Pool is heated and open year-round, so even when the sun begins to take a back seat and the cool air makes its way to the Las Vegas Valley, guests can still access poolside fun (weather permitting).

The Alexandria Pool isn’t the largest pool in Vegas, and it can get a little crowded during peak seasons. There are a number of pool chaises surrounding the pool, and guests are welcome to reserve one of the cabanas, which does cost money. The nice thing about the cabanas is that they’re yours for the entire day. You can go to your spa appointment, maybe stop by a restaurant for breakfast on the way back, and your cabana will still be waiting for you.

Guests can rent a cabana based on availability, but they may not be available all year long. You also have to contact the Sahara directly to rent the cabanas, as we weren’t able to do so online.

The Alexandria Pool is open from 10 am until 6 pm during the typical busy pool season in Vegas. After October 1 (until the weather warms again in the spring), the hours are 10 am until 5 pm.

Retro Pool

The Retro Pool at Sahara is a rectangular pool that offers the same panoramic rooftop views as the Alexandria Pool, but it’s only open on the weekends for a little extra fun in the sun.

The Retro Pool is the site of the Elevate PRIDE Pool Party. The Retro Pool opens its doors and becomes a welcoming space for all, with music, a full-service bar, and a genuine beach feel. We love that the Sahara Hotel & Casino does this. This is the only one of the Las Vegas Strip hotels that offers a weekly party space.

The Elevate PRIDE Party happens on Saturdays, weather permitting. Plus, you don’t need to be a Sahara Hotel guest who is staying in a property room to enjoy the party and the fun. Tickets are available for purchase by all, but it is a 21+ scene.

Azilo Ultra Pool

While the Alexandria Pool offers a very typical Las Vegas pool experience, the Azilo Ultra Pool elevates it by about a thousand notches!

Azilo Ultra Pool is also a rooftop pool, but there’s almost always a party going on here – even at night! At Azilo Ultra Pool, there’s always music pumping, hot partygoers lounging in the cabanas, and the drinks are always flowing.

The Azilo Ultra Pool features a large 240 ft screen that’s either playing videos or the big game. On Sundays during football season, you can find the Ultimate Tailgate Experience here. Sure, you could go to one of the nearby sports bars, like the Beer Garden, to catch the game – but why not grab your towels and head to Azilo Ultra Pool instead?

Friday Night brings Mala Vida Latin Nights to the Azilo Ultra Pool starting at 9 pm. There’s just a lot of fun to be had all week, day and night at this hotspot. With the exception of events like Latin Nights, the Azilo Ultra Pool is open daily from 10 am until 6 pm, except for during the off-season when the pool closes at 5 pm.

The Azilo Ultra Pool is for guests who are 21+ only. Also, parking at Sahara is always free!
