When you’re in Vegas, you expect a world of neon and insatiable high energy, so a bar that doubles as an island paradise might come as an unexpected surprise. We all need to escape with a classic tiki drink in hand, and that means checking out the best tiki bar Las Vegas offers.

Origin of the Tiki Bar
The tiki bar craze was birthed in the 1950s by two different men who shared a similar idea that people loved the idea of tropical escapes, but at that point in American history, tropical vacations to the Polynesian Islands were something reserved for the rich & famous. Don Beach is reported to be the first person to open a tiki restaurant, choosing California as the location.
Not long after, a man named Victor opened a tiki bar of his own. Victor’s bar would eventually become one of the most famous. Perhaps you’ve heard of Trader Vic’s, home of one the most classic tiki drinks — the Mai Tai.
The lure of sipping on boozy rum drinks surrounded by traditional island decor soon became a trend that vacation-starved Americans flocked to. The themed bars took a step back and fell out of fashion for a few decades, but they’re back and stronger than ever, especially in Vegas.
Best Tiki Bar in Las Vegas
Frankie’s Tiki Room

Frankie’s Tiki Room is arguably the most popular tiki bar in Las Vegas. For the last 15 years (give or take), Frankie’s has outshined other tiki bars in Sin City. What makes it stand out is that the location truly pays homage to tiki culture.
The bar was decorated by none other than Bamboo Ben. For those who might not be familiar with this name, this is the same person who decorated the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland and now holds a long and impressive list of tiki-themed design credits to his name.
While the design creates an immersive experience, let’s not overlook the credit that belongs to the drink menu and fun, energetic mixologists that create both the classic tiki drinks and Frankie’s Originals.
Celebrate with traditional favorites, like the Navy Grog, the Zombie, or the Fog Cutter. Of course, there’s always the Mai Tai that’s ripe with Tahitian flavors. The menu also features drinks that are unique to Frankies, including the Bearded Clam, Surf Dragon, and the Frankenstein, that’s a blend of rum, ginger liqueur, lemon, papaya, and raspberries.
This location is also famous for its souvenir mugs. You can purchase these artist originals, but get them while they’re hot. Once they are sold out, they go onto the list of retired mugs and become souvenir collectibles.
Hours & Location
Frankie’s Tiki Room is located at 1712 W Charleston Blvd. You can cure your Tiki craving any time of the day or night because they’re is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Runner Up Best Tiki Bar in Las Vegas
The Golden Tiki

The Golden Tiki comes in as a super close second to Frankie’s, and many locals will quickly claim that this is their favorite. The spot is best known for its awesome pirate-themed decor, the delicious drinks that lean heavily on the boozy side, and the great happy hour specials. Plus, they offer a food menu that matches the theme perfectly and is nothing short of yummy.
One of the most famous drinks is the Painkiller. It’s aptly named since you won’t be feeling much of anything when you sip this down. Pusser’s Rum, soft serve pineapple Dole, orange juice, pineapple, and coconut cream.

If you’re hanging out with a group of friends, order your drinks as one sharable tropical concoction for the table. Doubles are served in hollowed-out pineapples, or you can order a Fishbowl that will serve 2-4. Larger groups can order a Barrel of drinks that will keep 4-8 people happy and well-liquored.
The Happy Hour Menu offers island-themed munchable plus a great deal on specialty cocktails. Our favorite is the Blue Lagoon, which is a spin on the Blue Hawaiian. Rum, blue curacao, lime, pineapple, and Demara make this cocktail the right choice for any occasion.
If you’re one of those people who just don’t get into tiki cocktails, there’s also a full bar and a list of wine and beer.
Hours & Location
The Golden Tiki is located at 3939 Spring Mountain Rd. They’re open 24 hours a day, with Happy Hour Specials from 4-7 pm. This is a 21+-only location. Bring your ID, but don’t worry about a cover charge because the entrance is free.
Best Outdoor Tiki Bar
Tiki di Amore

Tiki di Amore is a popular spot that’s known for fun to be had on the outdoor patio. This spot checks off all the boxes for atmosphere and island vibe, and they offer live music at night. The menu isn’t filled with all of the classic cocktails that other tiki bars are famous for, but the drinks offer something different while still keeping the theme alive.

Hours & Location
The theme at Tiki di Amore is that every hour is happy hour, but they don’t keep the best hours. Tiki di Amore is open only Friday – Sunday, from 5 -11 pm. Stop by and visit one of the cool tiki bars in Las Vegas as the first destination for a bar crawl.
You can find them located at 2850 E Tropicana Ave.
Non-Traditional Tiki Bar
Red Dwarf

The Red Dwarf isn’t your typical tiki bar. There’s a bit of a tiki bar ambiance, but it’s more modern and edgy. The drink menu is fueled by tastes of the tropics, but the food portion of the menu focuses on –pizza!
The Red Dwarf is where you can sip on a Humuhumunukunukuapua’a. It’s a tasty cocktail with gin, orgeat, pineapple, lemon, and bitters. You’ll have a hard time saying it when you order the first, so don’t even try when going for round two. For something a little simpler, an alcohol-infused Dole Whip is always in order.

The food menu isn’t large and is basically pizza, garlic bread, wings, and one type of salad. It’s all super tasty tho, so we’re not going to complain.
Hours & Location
Red Dwarf is located at 1305 W Vegas Valley Drive. They’re open daily from 11 am until 1 am.
Newest Tiki Bar on the Strip
Golden Monkey Tiki Lounge at Resorts World

One of the newest tiki bars on the Strip is the Golden Monkey at Resorts World. Its an upscale, modern tiki lounge with a fun cocktail menu!
Downtown Las Vegas Tiki Bar
Jammyland

Jammyland is an unsuspecting treasure of tiki bars in downtown Las Vegas. Jammyland is, first and foremost, a Reggae kitchen, but it’s located in this small garage/warehouse location that has been revamped with tropical energy.

For the cocktail menu, the selection definitely leans more heavily toward tiki drinks, like the Damn Close Mai Tai and the Ultimate Dark & Stormy. The Anaconda Punch is a favorite with two different rums, pineapple, lime, mango-Jamaica syrup, and bitters.
Hours & Location
Jammyland is open Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday from 5 pm until midnight and from 5 pm until 2 am-ish on Friday and Saturday.
Jammyland is located in Downtown Las Vegas at 1121 S Main St.
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville

It’s hard to think of the islands and tropical cocktails without one of Jimmy Buffet’s songs getting stuck in your head, and it just won’t quit. The solution is to make your way to Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, where the atmosphere and cocktails are cool, and the ambiance lets you temporarily forget you’re in the middle of the city.
Magaritaville’s decor is very island-themed, with lots of wood accents and island decor. You might not get the same vibe as some other tiki bars and restaurants because this location does offer more of a chain-restaurant feel, but you still can’t deny that it’s a fun place to visit.
The list of margaritas and tropical cocktails is huge, and each one sounds better than the last. There isn’t a Beachcomber or Zombie on the menu, but the drink menu leaves nothing to complain about. The Who’s To Blame margarita is a favorite, as is the Last Mango in Paris. Boat drinks, like the Bahama Mama, Landshark Mule, and the Sunburn, let you temporarily forget you’re sitting on the border of the desert and not the beach.
Hours & Location
Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville is located at 3555 S Las Vegas Blvd. They’re open daily at 8 am and stay open until 10-11 pm, depending on the day.
Honorable Mention
Island Time Floats

One last mention on our list is Island Time Floats. They’re located right on the Strip in Vegas, which makes them a popular destination. This is more of a quick-stop bar with outside seating, offering classic cocktails like a Rum Milk Punch and their most famous drink – the boozy Dole Whip.
They often offer two-for-one drink specials, but be warned – they don’t have the best reviews of tiki bars in Sin City, and most locals don’t visit this rather touristy spot. The negative reviews almost entirely talk about the location being overpriced and poor service. The drinks that are two for one are rather on the small side, and a single drink costs significantly more than what other bars charge, so many argue that the 2-for-1 special isn’t anything special at all. Still, if you’re in the area and want to stop at a bar for a tiki drink, this is a convenient spot.
Hours & Location
Island Time Floats is located in the Grand Bazaar Shops at the Venetian Resort. The address is 3641 S Las Vegas Blvd, Suite 312. They open daily at 9 am and stay open until 2 am, except on Friday & Saturday, when they stay open until 4 am.
