Wine lovers know that there’s nothing quite like sitting down to drink wine in a really nice wine bar. If you’re in Sin City, wine bars Las Vegas-style are a must on your list. From celebrating special occasions to sipping a glass with your partner or bestie, these are the best bars for wine lovers both on the Strip and off.
Best Wine Bars on the Las Vegas Strip
La Cave Wine Bar & Food Hideaway (Wynn Las Vegas)
So, just the name of this place alone gets us excited. Wine, food, and an intimate setting to hideaway in? This already sounds like all of the things we love. Tucked inside the Wynn, La Cave is one of the favorite places for lovers of great wines in Sin City – with both the atmosphere and deep selection of wines being the reasons why.
The wine menu at La Cave is nearly 25 pages long. This includes selections by the glass, flights, and bottles. This is honestly one of the most impressive wine menus that we’ve seen. Unless you know what you’re looking for, we suggest having a conversation with the lead sommelier and letting them guide you with expert wine pairings.
There’s also a delicious menu of small bites and light plates. We suggest creating your own charcuterie board – the Belgium Fontina and Salumi Wagyu are divine! If you’re looking for a nice date night spot in Las Vegas, NV, we think this is it.
Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge (Town Square)
Wine lovers and whiskey lovers unite at Double Helix Wine & Whiskey Lounge. At first glance, we fell in love with the wine selection here – especially the flights, which include options like ABC (anything but chardonnay), A Reisling to Live, and Sexy Reds. They make wine sound fun, right? But upon further inspection, we realized that the whiskey menu is so extensive it far surpasses the wine offerings.
This is more than just a Las Vegas wine bar – it’s a wine and whisky lover’s dream. Did we also mention that in addition to their otherwise reasonable pricing, They also offer a happy hour? Select craft cocktails, select wines, and the whiskey of the month are offered at reduced prices.
If you’re in the mood for food, we recommend the cheese board or the Ultimate Board – which is unlike any charcuterie board we’ve had in a restaurant. There are taquitos and garlic knots on this thing! There are other options on the menu, all a bit unexpected but supremely flavorful.
Joel Robuchon
Joel Robuchon makes it onto our list, not because it’s a wine bar, but because the sophisticated fine dining restaurant offers an impressive list from its wine cellar – with a reported offering of nearly 2000 selections.
Joel Robuchon has received accolades from Wine Spectator, and we couldn’t agree more. However, this isn’t the place if you simply want to order a bottle and sip on it leisurely with maybe a few appetizers. Guests are required to order from the exclusive menu.
Joel Robuchon is located on Las Vegas Blvd, inside the MGM Grand.
Las Vegas Wine Bars Off the Strip
Patio Wine Garden
The Patio Wine Garden is one of our favorite wine bars in Vegas. Contrary to what the name implies, this isn’t a patio or garden at all. Instead, it’s this super cute and intimate bar that’s nestled inside a rather unassuming location in a Las Vegas strip mall of all places.
The wine lounge is designed to look like a cozy patio, with lots of wood accents and tufts of faux greenery here and there. However, the real star of the show is the great wine selection and super helpful staff that never hesitates to share their opinions about which wines are the best and most nicely paired with what you might be nibbling on. There’s a great selection of both fine wines and trendy wines that you’ve been wanting to try.
It’s located at 5255 S Decatur Blvd. Don’t be put off by the outside appearance – this place is worth your time.
Cork & Thorn
Cork & Thorn isn’t a Las Vegas wine bar specifically, but we love both the atmosphere and wine list that’s found here. People who enjoy vino but also love an atmosphere that’s intimate but not in any way stuffy or pretentious are going to like it here. Cork & Thorn also offers hookah and cigars, so there’s a little something for everyone.
While the vibe inside leans toward the seductive side, we enjoy the outdoor seating, which is a really wonderful place to enjoy a glass of your favorite vintage. They offer a happy hour with $5 glasses of house wine (we know the serious connoisseur might not be interested in this, but casual drinkers will).
There’s also a small food menu – nothing too fancy here, but the charcuterie plates make for a nice pairing with the available wine bottles.
Cork & Thorn accommodates parties and special events. They’re located at 70 W Imperial Ave, Las Vegas, NV.
Garagiste Wine Room (Arts District Downtown Las Vegas)
Garagiste Wine Room is one of those Vegas wine bars that has a devoted local following, along with being a place that tourists in the know want to try. It’s not large, and the ambiance offers a bit of an upscale industrial feel. We like this because, in our opinion, there’s not a lot of distracting visual scenery to take the focus off of what’s in your glass – or the person you may be sharing your table with.
Garagiste Wine Room offers a nice selection of wines by the glass, with a bottle wine list that spans all of the major wine regions of the world. This includes French Wines, like Pierre Yves Colin-Morey and Château de Fieuzal.
Then there are the other lovely white wines from Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, and the United States. The selection of red wines is equally deserving of your attention.
This is a place where you’ll want to stay and linger over a glass or two. It’s not where you should come if you’re in the mood for a quick drink. Garagiste welcomes private events, and they offer wine cellar development services where they’ll assist you in choosing selections from their wine shop to create the wine cellar you’ve always dreamed of.
Garagiste Wine Room is located at 197 E California Ave, Las Vegas, NV.
French Cellar
The French Cellar isn’t just a nice wine bar in Las Vegas. It’s also a contender for our favorite wine shop. This isn’t your typical rustic wine cellar. It’s modern and elegant and offers a wonderful selection of wines to take with you. However, if you’d rather stay and enjoy yours, there’s a little menu of small plates, like a cheese plate and accompaniments.
The French Cellar is located at 7865 W Sahara Ave, Las Vegas, NV.
Khoury’s Fine Wine and Spirits
Khoury’s Fine Wine and Spirits are one of the best wine bars if you’re someone that prefers a very casual vibe. Although there aren’t any screens on the walls or anything like that, we can’t help but feel a bit of a sports bar vibe here. It’s just really casual and unpretentious – which we really like sometimes.
Khoury’s offers a good selection of wines by the glass and also beers on tap. There’s also a good deal of shopping that gets done here, so there’s a decent amount of traffic moving through. This might not be the best place if you’re looking for quiet and intimacy, but for enjoying a glass or two with friends in a more casual environment, it’s perfect.
Marche Bacchus
Marche Bacchus is a French Bistro that’s located about ten minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Not a wine bar in a traditional sense, we still think that Marche Bacchus is a wonderful location for lingering over a glass of wine – or two.
For a romantic experience, we recommend the outdoor seating, which overlooks a lake. They also offer a happy hour special where select glasses of wine are half off.
Marche Bacchus is located at 2620 Regatta Dr, Las Vegas, NV.
Vino Las Vegas Wine Club
The Vino Las Vegas Wine Club is also part of a Yacht Club. This means that membership is required to enjoy the bar. If you live in the Las Vegas area, or at least visit often, and love a prestigious wine list to choose from, investing in membership is worth it.
In addition to being a wine bar, members can enjoy nibbling on small plates while sitting by the lake and listening to live music. Sounds like a great experience, right? We agree, so if you’re local to the area or a habitual visitor, the Vino Las Vegas Wine Club is a nice place to check out.
Ada’s Food + Wine Bar
Ada’s Wine Bar is one of our favorite wine bars in Las Vegas, not only for the selection but the incredible food to enjoy along with it. Ada’s Food + Wine Bar offers an especially curated menu of seasonal dishes that feature innovative and bold flavors but still taste farm fresh and complement the wines perfectly.
How about Mick’s Royal Burger with Cheese and a glass of a specialty silky red vintage? Or maybe you’d prefer one of the luscious desserts with a white dessert wine? We’ve never left this place without a smile on our faces.
Ada’s Food + Wine Bar is located at 410 S Rampart Blvd, Las Vegas, NV.
Grape Vine Cafe Wine Bar & Cellar
The Grape Vine Cafe Wine Bar & Cellar on Lake Mead Blvd in Las Vegas feels like a quaint little bistro. Bottles of wine line the walls, and there’s a pleasant aroma that escapes from the kitchen. It feels very California-inspired – but not in an overly trendy way.
In our opinion, the Grape Vine Cafe knocks it out of the park when it comes to its selection of red wines. With other varieties, there is still an awesome selection; it’s just that the reds are really where this location shines.
We’ve been to a lot of wine bars in Las Vegas, and while the menus almost always feature some type of cheese board, the Grape Vine is one of the few places that we’ve seen that offers baked brie on the menu. We know – it’s kitschy and a little dated, but we love the stuff!
Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant
Sometimes you feel like visiting the best wine bars in Las Vegas, and other times you really just want to sit down to a delicious, authentic Italian meal. Is there a happy compromise? Considering that wine and Italian cuisine are natural lovers, we don’t think a suitable compromise should be hard to find, and Ferraro’s Italian Ristorante proves this point.
Ferraro’s is a beautiful restaurant where you can enjoy Italian dishes that taste as if they came straight from Nonna’s cookbook. They even offer a vegan menu, which we greatly appreciate. Still, enough about the food – what about the wine?
Ferraro’s offers an award-winning wine list. Brace yourself before you sit down because the wine menu is sixty-six pages. For people like us, this type of menu is our favorite type of leisurely reading.
Ferraro’s also offers wine-tasting experiences. These are special, scheduled events where guests can experience and enjoy an expertly curated selection of wines and dishes that highlight and complement each other’s flavors. If you’re interested in attending one of these events, check back with Ferraro’s site frequently to discover when the next one is scheduled.
Las Vegas Wineries
Finally, not every great wine bar in Las Vegas can be found in the usual spots. The Las Vegas area is home to several wineries, but closest to the city, you’ll find the Pine Hollow Winery and Vegas Valley Winery.
Pine Hollow Winery is located in Fiesta Square on Charleston Blvd (Las Vegas just seems to really love tucking great wine bars and wineries into the most unassuming strip malls). One reason we love stopping by Pine Hollow and indulging ourselves is that the wines are delicious – and the names are fun.
Our favorites to enjoy in the tasting room include a dessert wine called Ginger Snapped, a dry red called After Midnight, and a Merlot called Peppermint Dreams. These are wines that you’re not going to find in other tasting rooms, which makes this experience all the more fun.
FAQs
Does Las Vegas have a winery?
While there are several wineries in the Las Vegas Valley, there’s only one that’s actually located right within the city. Pine Hollow Winery is family owned and located on Charleston Blvd, about halfway between the Las Vegas Strip and the Red Rock Resort. Vegas Valley Winery is another closeby option, located in Henderson.
What is the corking fee in Las Vegas?
Maybe there isn’t something on the wine list that catches your attention. In this case, some restaurants and bars in Las Vegas allow guests to bring their own. The corkage fee is the fee that’s charged for a staff member to open and pour the bottle for you. A typical corkage fee in Las Vegas is $50 per bottle, with most establishments having a limit of two bottles.
