The Vdara City Corner Suite is a luxury suite with great views and a long list of great amenities. This suite is ideal for those who love modern furnishings, a kitchen, a dining table of their own, spaciousness, views, and a great location in a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel.
View
The view is one of the best features of the City Corner Suites. When you walk in, you’re greeted with huge windows in the living room, which are dressed with an automatic sheer system so you can open them up to let in the sun or lights of Las Vegas at night or keep them closed for privacy.
Since this is a corner suite, the view from the living room area and bedroom is slightly different, but not extremely so. No matter where you’re standing (or sitting in a lounge), you don’t have to search hard for a great view.
There’s an ample view of the city, including parts of the Las Vegas Strip, and also a glimpse of the city with mountains in the background.
Honestly, the quality of the view depends on where the rooms are located. Corner suites that are located on the upper floors naturally offer a more expansive view than the ones located a few floors down.
If you have a preference, make sure to mention this when making your reservation or at check-in. Preferences can’t always be accommodated, but we’ve found the staff at Vdara to be more than helpful with special requests whenever they’re capable of honoring them.
Fountain View Upgrade
For an even more impressive view from your suite at the Vdara Hotel, we suggest asking for the Fountain View upgrade. It’s exactly as it sounds – a City Corner View suite where you can sit and relax, either from the comfortable seating or the desk, and enjoy a view of the Bellagio fountains.
In our opinion, this isn’t the suite with the best view of the Bellagio fountains – not by a long shot, but you can see them well enough. Plus, being able to watch the beautiful fountain show from the comfort of your suite is one of those details that makes asking for the upgrade worth it.
Floorplan
The City Corner Suites at Vdara Hotel Las Vegas measure 811 sq ft, with a single bedroom offering a king-size bed. The Suite accommodates up to four guests, which it’s able to do with the addition of a pull-out sleeper sofa in the living area.
Unlike some of the other Vdara Hotel suites, the City Corner Suite doesn’t offer an open floor plan. When first walking in, you might get the impression that the suite is smaller than it actually is. But, once you get settled and start taking a tour, you soon realize that there is plenty of room and plenty of amenities to make your stay more enjoyable.
Bedroom
The City Corner Suites offer a single master bedroom that features a king bed. If you’ve never stayed at Vdara before, it’s worth mentioning that the beds are luxuriously comfortable. You’ll sleep on a pillow-top mattress and slip into luxurious linens for what we think will be a blissful night of sleep. After all, there’s a lot of entertainment, shopping, dining, and nightlife that is up for grabs on the Las Vegas Strip – you’re going to need your rest!
There’s also a television and desk in the master bedroom, although our preference has been to just lay back and enjoy the view instead.
Living Area
Vdara Las Vegas is considered a luxury hotel, and the decor and amenities of the living area are some of the details that speak most strongly to this. The suite is decorated with modern furnishings that feel sophisticated without losing any comfort. In our opinion, the living area is equally well suited for connecting with a friend over a cocktail as it is conducting an intimate business meeting.
A large flat-screen television sits as a centerpiece of the living space but blends easily into the modern wood panel it rests against. There’s also a media hub for MPs players, cameras, DVD players, and game consoles. We know a few of these sound a little outdated since you’re probably not going to be watching videos from a DVD player while you’re there, but it’s a nice touch, and it’s a bit of retro kitsch that we can appreciate.
We also like how the layout of the living area lends itself well to the idea of mingling and enjoying conversation with others. The chairs and sofa are arranged in a way that feels close and personal.
Dining Area & Kitchenette
A dining area and kitchenette are something that you’ll find in all of the suites at Vdara Hotel, although the size and setup are a little different depending on the type of room you’re staying in. The kitchenette in the Vdara Corner Suite is actually more of a full kitchen, with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and a four-burner electric stove top.
The kitchen in the hotel’s corner suite isn’t huge by any means, but it does offer ample room to make a quick meal or reheat leftovers from the night before.
You’re probably not going to be making eggs benedict or country gravy and biscuits, but then again, you have a lot of choices of restaurants for that. But, if you spent a late night gambling at the casino, you could easily make yourself some coffee and a quick, easy breakfast or lunch.
The kitchen access also makes it easier to save on restaurant bills and can make it easier to keep the belly full if you have food allergies or sensitivities and need to be extra cautious about where you eat. Just do a little shopping to stock some goodies in the refrigerator, and you’re all set!
There’s also a dining table that seats four in the kitchen area. Again, it’s not huge, but it’s the perfect size for enjoying all that room service you just ordered or delivery from a restaurant at the Aria Resort.
Bathroom
The Corner Suite at Vdara Hotel offers a spa-style bathroom that is an instant deal-maker for us. It’s large, spacious, and very modern looking, with a backlit vanity and plenty of space to spread out and primp for a night out.
However, what we really love is the deep soaking tub that makes us feel like we’ve just signed up for the ultimate spa day. There’s also a really nice walk-in shower, but we’re really fixated on the tub. Of course, Vdara does have a wonderful spa onsite, and if you can manage to pull yourself out of the tub long enough to go enjoy a massage, it’s definitely worth it.
Then, returning back to your suite, canceling your plans, putting the do not disturb sign on the door, and just relaxing on the pillow-top mattress is a very relaxing, low-key way to spend a day in Las Vegas.
There’s also a washer and dryer in the suite, which has really helped us streamline how much we pack for our trip to Sin City.
StayWell City Corner Suites
All MGM Resorts properties, including the Vdara, offer StayWell options for some of their rooms and suites. At Vdara, one of these options is the City Corner Suites.
StayWell rooms offer enhanced wellness features that help you stay relaxed and healthy during your travels. Enhanced cleaning protocols, air purification, shower infusers, clean air bedding and mattresses, climate control, and access to digital content from the Cleveland Clinic are just a handful of amenities that set StayWell rooms apart.
Simply request a StayWell City Corner Suite when making your reservation.
Accessibility
Vdara Hotel does its best to accommodate guests with accessibility needs. If you require hearing or mobility accessibility amenities, let the staff know, and they’ll make sure to put you in a room that meets your needs.
Cost
You can expect to pay somewhere in the range of $200 – $800 for a one-night stay in the City Suite. There’s a huge cost difference between staying on an off-peak day and during the weekend or other peak times. A little shopping around will help you find the best deal.
Location
Vdara Hotel is located at 2600 W Harmon Ave, right off of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s a few steps away from Aria Las Vegas and is located in what was formerly known as City Center. The two hotels are sister properties, but contrary to popular belief, they are not the same hotel.
