The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas pool is one of the hotel’s best facilities, especially for guests who want to enjoy a relaxing, low-key, and luxurious pool experience.
For those who don’t know, the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is a boutique, non-gaming hotel with a great central location near the city center and other major hotels on the Vegas Strip.
Pool Atmosphere
In our opinion, the pool at Waldorf Astoria is wonderful, and the service is top-notch. However, if you’re someone who is looking for a livelier, pool-party type of experience, then this pool might not be for you.
It’s definitely a more relaxed vibe, where you can actually enjoy just lounging by the pool without a DJ blaring music, spring-breakers crowding the water, or uncomfortable oggling and endless streams of pickup lines by other guests.
There are two pools at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. Both pools are open year-round, and so are heated during the cooler months. If you really want to enjoy the pool when nobody else is around, we recommend booking a week’s stay in October or November. Chances are you’ll have the entire pool and all of the amenities to yourself!
The pool at Waldorf Astoria is family-friendly, but this doesn’t apply to both pools. One pool is designated for adults only. As someone who occasionally travels to Las Vegas with kids in tow, we appreciate this.
This allows families with kids to let them splash and play without worrying about glances or comments from other guests who are trying to enjoy a quiet, non-kid day at the pool.
The pools are surrounded by lounge chairs, and there are also a few umbrellas around. You’ll find attentive service, with things like soft towels, sunscreen, and bottled water at hand.
Overall, our opinion is that the plunge pool at Waldorf Astoria is a welcome reprieve for the typical Las Vegas pool scene. We enjoy spending a relaxing day at the pool and then heading to our room to get ready for a fun night in the city.

Adult Only Pool
Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas offers guests a separate adult-only pool. This isn’t the type of adult-only pool where you’re going to find a raunchy bachelor party or a top-optional scene. Instead, this area of the pool is set aside for adult guests who would prefer to enjoy their pool experience with the splashing, playing, and noise of kids around.
The adult-only pool is similar in size and style to the other pool, with the addition of whirlpool baths.
Cabanas
Hotel guests have the option of reserving one of the cabanas at the Waldorf Astoria pool area. Cabanas are a great option if you’re planning on spending the entire day at the pool or if you have a small group or family and you want a single spot where you can all hang out together away from the glaring Vegas sun.
When you check in at the pool, you’ll be shown your cabana, which has all the amenities you need. Cabanas come with personalized service a fully stocked wet bar, and can comfortably accommodate about six guests.
Our favorite part about the cabanas at Waldorf Astoria is that they’re yours for the entire day, even if you decide to wander away from the pool to do something else for a while, like indulge in a relaxing spa treatment, or do a little spur of the moment shopping on the Strip.
There are three different types of cabanas, depending on what your needs or preferences are.
The main pool area offers two cabanas – upper-level cabanas and family cabanas, which are set in an area that’s designated for being family-friendly. Finally, there are adult-only cabanas, which are located in the adult-only pool area.
Although prices are subject to change, cabanas typically run about $300-$350 per day. Considering the amenities and the serene vibe at this pool, this is a great deal – especially considering the sky-high price of cabanas at other hotels on the Vegas Strip.

Food & Drink Poolside
The Waldorf Astoria Hotel does offer a pool cafe as one of their pool amenities. You can enjoy cocktails and light nibbles. The service staff at the pool will take great care of you, making sure your needs are well taken care of.
The Pool Cafe is open daily from 11am to 5pm, and serves drinks, gelato, sorbets, smoothies and light meals.
If you’re interested in something a little more substantial, the Waldorf Astoria does offer a couple of options where you can take a break from the pool and dine inside. If you’ve reserved one of the cabanas, your space is saved, and you can return to the pool as soon as you’re ready.
There’s the Zen Kitchen, which offers lighter fare with American-style dishes. There’s also the Tea Lounge, but you’ll want to dress nicer than showing up wearing a bathing suit cover and sandals.
If you’re looking for a night on the town at the Waldorf Astoria, the sky bar, which is located on the 23rd floor of the hotel, is a great place to start!
The hotel pool is an easy walk for guests from their room or the ground floor. Take the elevator to the eighth floor and follow the signs.
