The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is one of the oldest hotels in Las Vegas. Located downtown, right on the famous Fremont Street, it offers a prime location to stay, play, and park when you want to live it up on Fremont Street and beyond. Golden Nugget parking is easy, accessible, and in many cases – completely free!
Golden Nugget Valet & Self Parking

Free parking in Las Vegas does exist, but it’s often hard to find. Believe it or not, this is even more the case once you head to downtown Las Vegas, where parking, in general, seems more difficult to snag.
The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is one of the few properties located in Downtown Las Vegas that offers free self-parking when you book a room and stay at the hotel.
The self-parking garage is six stories tall, which seems like plenty of room until you stop to consider how many people are just visiting Fremont Street and want to park there.
If you’re heading there on the weekend or on an event day in Las Vegas, the self-parking garage actually gets pretty crowded.
As mentioned earlier, hotel guests can park in the self-parking garage and not pay a dime for parking during their stay. Guests should show their room key to get in and out of the parking garage.
Valet parking is also available, but both guests and non-guests are required to pay the same fee, which is usually around $20 for the entire day. We say this because this fee may jump during events.
Hotel guests who choose valet parking receive free in and out privileges during their stay. If you’re only visiting, you’ll need to pay a new valet fee if you leave and come back, so don’t retrieve your car until you’re sure you’re ready to leave for the day.

For non-hotel guests, the fee for the self-parking garage is still reasonable. You’ll pay a flat rate of $10 for up to two hours and then $20 for any amount of time between two and twenty-four hours.
If you’re in the self-parking garage for more than a day, the cost is $20 for each additional 24-hour period or portion thereof.
You might expect parking to be more expensive when there’s an event, but this hotel really hikes its self-parking fees. Expect to pay $50 for event day parking.
Monday – Thursday | $10 |
Friday – Sunday | $15 |
While they don’t let everyone take advantage of their free self-parking, there are ways to avoid paying the cost of parking.
To Golden Nugget’s credit, they basically allow anyone who spends a decent amount of time in their hotel to have their parking validated, so it seems the parking fees are more of an attempt to discourage people from taking advantage and clogging up the self-parking garage to the point there’s no room left for guests to park.
Ways to park for free at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino self-parking garage include:
-Stay in a room at the Golden Nugget Hotel
-Cardholders who are Premier, Chairman, or Elite members receive complimentary parking
-Dining validation from a restaurant within the hotel
-24K Select cardholders who earn 20 slots points in a single day can receive free parking

EV Charging

The Golden Nugget Las Vegas has several EV charging stations that are located at the valet parking garage. Guests can approach the valet area, and a friendly attendant will guide them to an available spot to charge their cars.
