Luxor Parking

Luxor parking offers two valets and a self parking garage. While standard rates apply most of the time, there are still a few ways to get free parking.

MGM Resorts recently increased parking rates for Luxor by $2-$5/day on December 4, 2024. Full prices are below.

Free Parking

Self-parking is free for Pearl and up MGM Reward Members. Valet parking is free for Gold, Platinum, and Noir MGM Rewards Members. Tips are still customary for valet parking.

Nevada Residents can get free parking for up to 3 hours with a valid NV driver’s license.

Luxor Parking Fees

Luxor parking fees range from $18 to $40, depending on where and when you park. For a budget hotel, these parking rates are fairly steep.

But, as with all MGM properties, if you are a registered hotel guest, you can use your parking ticket at any other Las Vegas MGM property for parking at no extra charge.

Self Parking Fees

Luxor self parking charges by the day per entry. So if you enter 3 times in one day, you’ll pay 3 times, unless you are a registered hotel guest.

Valet rates are flat rate per entry per day. If you’re budgeting for parking at Luxor Hotel using the valet, don’t forget to factor in a tip for the valet driver, too!

Valet Parking

The valet parking drop-off is right by the main entrance of the hotel. The large Sphinx statue that draws your eye to Luxor is also a marker for the valet because it’s right under it!

Free Parking at Luxor

Access the drop-off area by going south on the Las Vegas Strip and turning into the main hotel entrance. A valet attendant will take your keys, issue a valet ticket, and take your car to be parked.

luxor back valet

There is a second valet for Luxor in the back on W Reno Ave. If the main entrance is busy, this is a great option.

To pick the car up, return to the same area and place your valet ticket in the kiosk.

You’ll be prompted to pay or swipe your MGM rewards card. Then, a valet attendant will retrieve your car, and you’re on your way.

Self Parking Garage

The easiest way to access the Luxor parking garage from the Las Vegas Strip is via Luxor Drive.

Each vehicle entering the parking garage will receive a parking ticket. Keep this ticket with you! If you’re staying in Luxor, Las Vegas, give the front desk your parking ticket when you check-in. This allows them to charge your parking fees directly to the room bill.

Hotel guests can also come and go from the parking garage at no added cost with their hotel room key! If you’re staying at the hotel, bring your hotel room key with you for easy access in and out of the garage.

If you aren’t a hotel guest, keep your parking ticket. Before returning to your car, pay for your ticket at a parking kiosk. You’ll then insert the paid ticket at the gate to leave the garage.

Losing your parking ticket makes for quite a complicated exit and a potentially higher parking fee than what you should pay. You’ll have to press a help button at a parking kiosk to get connected with an attendant. They will then review tapes to determine how long your car has been parked. If they can’t determine how much you should pay, you’ll be charged $30 for a lost parking ticket.

Oversized Parking

Luxor Hotel does not offer oversized parking. Luxor guests can park RVs and oversized vehicles at Excalibur’s lot for $50/day.

EV Charging

There are two ChargePoint EV charging stations at the Luxor. One is at the valet, and the other is in the parking garage on the right side. There are 6 chargers and 5 designated EV stalls.

  1. Parking is supposed to be free for locals for 3 hours, but I couldn’t exit without paying. I tried to go to the front desk and they said that there was an option on the kiosk. This was not clearly marked at all and there was a line of cars to get out. I didn’t want to be rude and hold everyone up.

Long story short, they refused to issue a refund and were quite rude.

    1. Yes, in fact, many hotels give hotel guests in and out privileges with the valet price, but not MGM properties like Luxor. If you valet your car at noon and then leave to go to lunch or dinner, when you come back you have to pay the valet fee again! This is a real oversight by MGM hotels, and a disservice to its registered guests.

Self parking is in and out privileges all day and you can even go to other MGM hotels on the same daily parking fee.

  2. I am attending the pregame function with the Washington Huskies at the Luxor Oasis Pool on December 1st starting at 1:00 P. M. and then going to the stadium for the game. I need a parking place from 12:30 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Can you accommodate me?
