MGM Grand Shows

The MGM Grand Hotel on Las Vegas Blvd is home to a number of shows and concerts that are worth exploring during your time in Las Vegas.

MGM Grand shows range from the magic of David Copperfield and the art of Cirque du Soleil to watching how Jabbawockeez tells a tale through dancers’ unity in a way only this dance crew can. 

The resort is also home to the MGM Grand Arena, where there’s always an epic list of upcoming concerts and more.

KÀ by Cirque du Soleil

The Cirque du Soleil Production Company is known for its amazing theatrical production with pulse-pounding music, acrobatics, and stunning visuals. There are several top Cirque du Soleil shows that run regularly in Las Vegas, with KA finding its home at the MGM Grand Hotel. 

KA tells the story of twins that take you along on their life journey through love and conflict, with “KA” being defined by Cirque du Soleil as “the fire that has the power to unite or separate.” Ka tells this story through epic battles, aerial acrobats mixed with martial arts, and touches of comedy. 

KA has received overwhelmingly positive audience reviews, with mentions of the talent of the killer moves of the cast, the electrifying fusion of sight, sound, and acrobatics, and the incredible set design. 

However, a few reviews, including one in the New York Times, have described the storyline of Ka as boring or lackluster, especially for a Cirque du Soleil performance. The storyline has been mentioned as hard to follow, fluffy filler, and irrelevant comedy. 

All that said, Ka still has significantly more positive reviews from audience members who have been absolutely mesmerized and would happily see it again. For the ultimate experience and a chance to meet the cast of KA in person, choose the VIP add-on.

Jabbawockeez Timeless

Jabbawockeez has earned awards and accolades, including being named one of the most influential dance crews in the world. Since 2010, they have been bringing their unforgettable performances to the stage in Las Vegas, NV. If you have the chance to see them at the MGM Grand, Jabbawockeez Timeless is a show you don’t want to miss. 

The Jabbawockeez dance crew formed in San Diego back in 2003, and after a win on America’s Best Dance Crew, the Jabbawockeez rose to success. The unique style, and signature white masks that hide the dancers’ individual identities, have become iconic on Las Vegas Blvd. 

The hallmarks of Jabbawockeez are the dance unity, precise rhythm, and storytelling through unforgettable choreography. The dance crew never fails to mesmerize with their performances that bring the music to life. What’s even better is that Jabbawockeez is a family-friendly, all-ages production, so you can get tickets for everyone in the group! 

Some say that this is the least thrilling of Jabbawockeez shows, but we disagree. Timeless is still top-notch entertainment on the Strip, and that’s also good, clean fun – although if you’re sensitive to loud, pounding beats, the music might be too much for you. 

A VIP meet and greet with the dance crew is available as an add-on to the standard ticket.

David Copperfield

One of the most popular, long-running MGM Grand shows is, without a doubt, David Copperfield. For more than four decades, David Copperfield has captivated audiences with his magic and has won multiple awards as one of the world’s leading and most notable illusionists. 

David Copperfield takes to the stage at MGM Grand, where he creates visual representations of magic and illusions using special effects and the mastery that has brought him such incredible fame. 

David Copperfield is more than just an illusionist. He’s also a charming storyteller, and his show in Las Vegas highlights both of these sides of his personality perfectly. The show is family-friendly, although not suited for very young children. Both because they might be a bit startled, and also the concentration and audience “awe” might be affected by the noise a small child often brings to the party.

Tape Face

Tape Face is a hilarious show that involves absolutely no talking because the star has a large black piece of tape over his mouth.

Winner of America’s Got Talent, Tape Face uses props and audience participation to keep you laughing through the entire show.

The seating is different from that of most theaters. There are tables in the front near the stage, regular rows of seats, and higher-up booths for the next pricing category. The cheapest seats and tables are further in the back.

Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club

If you love great comedy, Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club is a must-see at the MGM Grand Hotel. Brad Garrett is widely known for his Emmy-winning performances on Everybody Loves Raymond. However, his comic chops have always been there, and now he’s living the dream with his own comedy club in Las Vegas. 

Brad Garrett welcomes special guests to the live stage, representing many different genres of comedy. It’s always a good idea to check and see who’s in the lineup of events the night you want to go. 

Tickets and seating for Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club are a bit different than choosing seats or picking a row for a concert. You choose which section you want to sit in, but the seats themselves aren’t assigned. When you arrive, you choose the best available in that section. So, arriving a little early is a good strategy. 

There’s also a bar attached to the comedy club, so you can grab a drink before or after enjoying the comedy show. You don’t need tickets to the show in order to enjoy some time at the bar.

MGM Grand Garden Arena Shows

The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas opened about thirty years ago, and with it came the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which quickly became a hotspot for America’s best entertainment. The MGM Grand Garden Arena is where you can find your favorite concert tour, the top sporting events, and other special events.
