Velveteen Rabbit Las Vegas

Last Updated on October 3, 2022

When in Las Vegas, you may be looking for a great cocktail or two. Luckily, Las Vegas has plenty of nightlife options, from cheap dive bars to luxury VIP clubs. There is something for anyone’s pace in Sin City. One great bar that offers a unique cocktail experience is the Velveteen Rabbit.

The Velveteen Rabbit is an artsy craft cocktail bar featuring boutique spirits, local artists, a pink patio, and vintage furniture. Let’s take a look at the menu, happy hour specials, dress code, and everything else you need to know before you go.

Velveteen Rabbit is owned by Pamela and Christina Dylag, who have recently upgraded the patio to create quite the instagramable outdoor seating. It now has a pink motif, a mural from Sloane Siobhan, and whimsical umbrellas.

Along with the new patio space and upgraded cosmic floors on the inside has come a change in how customers are served. Rather than bar seating and ordering, bartenders come to tables, providing a much more customer-centric service.

Over the last year or so, the Velveteen Rabbit has completely transformed with the help of local artists to become a fun and playful environment.

Cocktail Menu

When the look and service of Velveteen Rabbit were overhauled, the cocktail menu was revamped as well, and it is simply stunning. Not only are the drinks on the menu truly creative, but the menu itself makes a statement.

The menu comes to the table in zine format, essentially a small self-published magazine. It has a music theme with photography and visual art from, you guessed it, local artists.

The cocktail menu itself includes a seasonal section. The seasonal cocktails section, dubbed “Feast,” currently revolves around a spooky fall vibe, including drinks such as Exquisite Corpse, a cocktail with coffee-infused reposado tequila, lemon, ube agave, tonic, and chocolate bitters.

Right now, another one of the Feast menu cocktails is the Third Circle of Hell, which has mezcal, green chile vodka, white wine vinegar, habanero, agave, tomato, and pineapple gochugaru, and lager. This menu of mixology changes, making it the first place to look for an exciting new cocktail.

Velveteen Rabbit also has house specials like the punch bowl of the day and the Hibiscus Paloma, which has hibiscus-infused mezcal, tequila, grapefruit soda, lime, and black lava salt. In addition to the punch bowl of the day, they have The Feast of Herod, a bowl that serves up to eight people and contains brandy, beet and mint-infused vodka, walnut cordial, orange juice, ginger and honey balsamic shrub, lemon, and green peppercorn.

The cocktails are truly a cool, creative drinking experience, with each of them constructed from house-made ingredients. However, if beer or wine is more your style, they have a wide selection of those as well. For beer, they have twelve rotating taps of specialty craft beers and up to twenty bottle or can selections as well. Wine is served by the bottle or glass with a good mix of sweet, dry, and bubbly.

Happy Hour

The only thing better than a great atmosphere and a well-rounded menu is a daily happy hour! Velveteen Rabbit calls their happy hour magic hour. Magic hour at Velveteen Rabbit is daily from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. where you can get the punch and house wine for six dollars, Montucky lager and a shot of rye for eight dollars, or the feast menu cocktails for twelve dollars. At Velveteen Rabbit, you can truly get one of the happiest hours.

Dress Code

Dress Code
