FAQs

What does it mean to have a Las Vegas residency?

When an artist has a Las Vegas Residency, they sign a contract, usually with one of the bigger resorts on the Strip, with an agreement to do a specific number of shows at the resort’s venue for a certain period of time. Some residencies last years, while others are just a couple of months.

How much does residency in Vegas pay?

The amount a residency pay depends on the artist, costs of production, and details of the residency contract. There’s no doubt that all residency artists make a good amount, but the exact payout per residency show can vary quite a bit.

Who has the most successful Vegas residency?

Celine Dion has had multiple long-running, extremely successful residencies at The Colosseum at Ceasars Palace. Elton John and Britney Spears follow closely behind Celine Dion for the most successful residency of all time.

Where do stars live during Vegas residency?

Most stars stay at one of the top resorts on the Strip. Sometimes the same resort their residency shows are played at, but not always. More private stars will often rent or purchase a home in the area if they have a long-running Vegas residency.
