She is reported to be returning to Resorts World for a residency at the end of 2024 or early 2025. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Celine Dion in Las Vegas

Celine Dion in Las Vegas 1 1

Celine Dion has had an incredible presence in Las Vegas that rivals that of Elvis Presley’s golden years. Her very first residency was a series of concerts at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, starting in 2003. This residency, titled A New Day, ran until 2007 with great success.

Celine returned to Caesars Palace in 2011 with her “Celine” residency, which continued for eight years before ending in 2019.

More than twenty years after starting her first residency, Celine Dion remains one of the most incredible singers to perform on any stage in Las Vegas. Her performances have evolved over the years, with beautiful costumes and an iconic voice that never disappoints her audience.

Unfortunately, the singer has had to cancel her newest residency, which was to take place at Resorts World Las Vegas. The heartbreaking announcement was made in 2021. Currently, we don’t have a date for when she can perform again.

We do know she hopes to be back on stage eventually, though! She’s made it clear she’s continuing to fight and wants to return to performing.

Celine Dion’s Health Concerns

Céline Dion Illness

Celine Dion recently released a video saying that she’s taking some time off from singing and performing due to a diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome (SPD).

SPD is a neurological condition that affects muscle rigidity, causing muscle spasms and tightness. It can also present with sensitivity to noise, touch, and emotional distress, all of which can make muscle spasms and tightness worse.

Stiff Person Syndrome is a progressive condition believed to be caused by an out-of-control immune response. For people with SPD, including Celine Dion, this means that the condition isn’t curable and often progresses to a point where mobility becomes very difficult and painful.

Fortunately, there have been advancements in the treatment of SPD, and medications and therapies are available to help alleviate the symptoms and pain while allowing those with the condition to live a higher quality of life. Celine Dion has the unique benefit of being a well-known, financially well-off individual, so it’s safe to assume she’s exploring all the best possible treatment methods.

I think we can speak on behalf of all Celine Dion fans when we say we hope she can return to Resorts World for a residency in great health with the vitality and voice she is known for. In the meantime, there are plenty of other exciting Las Vegas residencies to discover!
