Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is a popular resort & casino on the Strip, and they offer a small but awesome collection of restaurants. Still, sometimes you’d rather stay in and eat. This is where Planet Hollywood room service comes in.
Like most resorts in Las Vegas, room service is available at Planet Hollywood, but there are some pros and cons to consider. Convenience is a plus, but cost and variety aren’t high points. Here’s the scoop and our opinion on ordering food delivered to your room at Planet Hollywood Resort.
How Room Service at Planet Hollywood Works
If you’re a new traveler to Las Vegas, the resort culinary scene may be new to you. Unlike your standard hotel in Anytown, USA, most of the resorts in Las Vegas offer a great collection of restaurants that are easy to access for guests to enjoy. These include some of the most famous restaurants in the country.
This means that when you order from your room, you typically have more options than the typical ham sandwich or sad-looking salad that many hotels offer. Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is no exception.
Planet Hollywood offers eclectic food options, with menus from some of their on-site restaurants being available to order from and delivered directly to your suite.
This is a great option for weary travelers who just want a little relaxation before gearing up for their next Las Vegas adventure, for people that are spent from a day of shopping or just prefer to use the resort’s services rather than dining in a crowded restaurant. We’ve definitely had those days where the heat or excitement of a day in Sin City wore us out, and we just wanted to chill in our rooms for a bit.
What’s great about room services at Planet Hollywood is the variety. You can order from any of the menus currently available. If you’re craving Chinese that goes beyond sweet & sour chicken and an egg roll, PF Chang’s is available.
Gordon Ramsay Burger (yes, the restaurant from the celebrity chef), Café Hollywood, and Pin-Up Pizza pretty much have the bases covered for all your cravings.
You order what you want, and it’s delivered to you. The cost and any additional fees are typically added to your final bill unless you prefer to pay a different way.
The downside is that while you have these amazing menus to choose from, you are limited to each restaurant’s operating hours. In other words, you’re not going to get Gordon Ramsay’s Hellfire Wings delivered to your room at 3 am.
Menus
Currently, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is promoting the menus for Gordon Ramsay Burger and Pin-Up Pizza with their room delivery services.
Gordon Ramsay Burger
If you’ve been to Gordon Ramsay Burger or taken a look at the menu in anticipation, you know it’s a decent-sized menu with enough different options to please the taste buds. And most of the in-house menu is available for delivery.
You can get some seriously good grub that will leave you wondering if you should make up for it at the fitness center the next morning. Our favorites are the Hell’s Kitchen Burger and the Stout Burger with a side of Parmesan Truffle Fries. Drinks, sides, and desserts are also available.
Gordon Ramsay Burger is available for delivery from 10 am until 11:30 pm daily, with pick-up options available during the same hours.
Pin Up Pizza
Pin Up Pizza has the largest slices of pizza on the Las Vegas Strip, hands down. They are seriously massive. You can order an entire pizza, but it isn’t done very frequently.
A single pizza slice from the place is probably equal in size to a small pizza you might get at another pizza spot. When they say that everything is over the top in Las Vegas, Pin Up Pizza is the perfect example of that statement.
The menu isn’t extremely diverse, but it has all the basics covered, plus a few extras. This is New York Style pizza. The crust is thin, and the sauce has a hint of sweetness.
Choose from slices such as pepperoni, big meat, chicken & mushroom, margherita, and plain old cheese.
Be warned. Unless you regularly have a huge appetite, you might not want to do much more than lounge around your room or the pool after you finish one of these 5-star slices.
Pin Up Pizza is available for delivery starting at 11 am daily. They’re open until 11 pm during the week and 12:30 am on the weekends (Thursday and Friday included).
Café Hollywood
Café Hollywood is kind of a fun cafe to visit, especially for a casual eatery, but we understand if leaving your room to eat in a casual cafe isn’t of interest to you.
Café Hollywood doesn’t have the best hours during the week, but they are open late and equipped to assist you with your late-night cravings on the weekends.
They have an awesome all-day breakfast menu that features tasty dishes like scrambles, skillets, short stacks, and croissant French toast. Lunch and dinner menus are also available. The late-night menu for the weekends covers the spectrum with breakfast, appetizers, sandwiches & burgers, and entrees.
Price
Room service at Planet Hollywood Resort Las Vegas will cost about the same as you would pay anywhere else on the Strip. Depending on what you order, you should plan on paying at least $20 for a meal or sandwich.
You might be able to tack a drink on for that price with one of the less expensive options, but you’re going to pay what you would if you ate at one of the restaurants, plus fees and tips.
Can You Have Drinks Delivered to Your Room at Planet Hollywood Resort?
Yes, you certainly can order alcoholic drinks delivered to your room at Planet Hollywood Resort, provided you’re at least 21 years of age.
Is The Room Service at Planet Hollywood Worth It?
If you really don’t want to leave your room, then it’s hard to argue that the convenience is worth any extra cost you might pay.
In general, your taste buds will be happy, and you don’t have to worry about walking somewhere, catching an Uber, or parking your car to go to a restaurant outside of the resort.
However, if you are in any way trying to do Las Vegas on a budget, then having food delivered might not be the best option. There are cheaper places to eat on the Las Vegas Strip.
Other Dining Options at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino offers additional dining options, like Yolös Mexican Grill, Strip House Steakhouse, and Koi for Japanese-inspired cuisine, which don’t offer the option to have food delivered to you. There is also a lot to explore at the Miracle Mile Shops and other nearby areas located on the Las Vegas Strip.
