Today, Top of Binion’s Steakhouse is a place where you can enjoy a perfect meal, first-class service, a nice view, a great glass of red wine, and an old-school Vegas vibe all in one location.

History & Ambiance at Binion’s Steakhouse Las Vegas

Top of Binion’s Steakhouse has been a Las Vegas tradition since it opened as the Top of the Mint in 1965. Times have changed, but there’s so much at Binion’s Steakhouse that remains unchanged – in a good way.

There’s always a risk of making restaurants sound “dated” or irrelevant to today’s culinary scene when we say something like this, but Top of Binion’s Steakhouse has managed to evolve while keeping the essence that people have loved for decades.

This includes a romantic atmosphere and amazing views from the 24th floor. The main dining room is infused with vintage Vegas décor, and each table is served with world-class service. The dining room leans toward being upscale but still offers a relaxed and comfortable vibe.

For a fantastic traditional steakhouse meal before exploring the Fremont Street Experience or trying your luck at the casino, you’re not going to be disappointed when you make a reservation.

Menus

Starters

The starters on the menu tend to lean toward rich and decadent. It should tell you something that the chicken fried lobster is one of the appetizers this restaurant is known for – don’t come here unless you’re willing to indulge!

Other ways you can start your meal include a short rib mac & cheese, bone marrow with caramelized bacon marmalade, and maple bourbon glazed pork belly.

If soup or salad is more of what you desire, we recommend the lobster bisque, French onion soup, or the traditional wedge salad. Any of these make for a great way to start your meal while enjoying a great view of the city.

From the Butcher

The beef at Top of Binion’s Steakhouse is from Creekstone Farms. It is cut by the restaurant’s in-house butcher and is aged no less than forty days. In our experience, the steaks have always been delicious and cooked exactly to our liking.

A few options on this portion of the menu include cuts like the NY strip, filet mignon, ribeye, t-bone, and a 24-ounce, bone-in ribeye cowboy steak, which is the perfect cut if you’re treating a steak lover to a nice meal on their birthday.

Of course, there’s the prime rib, also. Binion Prime Rib is salt-crusted and slow-roasted with flavorful herbs and garlic. Guests can choose between a sixteen or twenty-four-ounce cut.

For sides to accompany the main courses, guests can choose from steakhouse mac & cheese, loaded baked potatoes, risotto, or mashed potatoes. Steaks are also served with fresh vegetables and freshly baked bread.

Signature Dishes

Carnivorous delights aren’t the only type of cuisine that’s offered at Top of Binion’s Steakhouse. The menu is also filled with signature creations, which are among the reasons that Binion’s Steakhouse rated so highly in both professional and customer reviews.

Among the signature dishes are the seafood Newburg with lobster, scallops, and shrimp in a cognac-sherry cream sauce, the veal scaloppine, served with blackberry port wine coulis, and the fresh Scottish salmon.

Desserts

No way would we let this experience go by without a look at the dessert menu – after all, it’s our favorite course!

We appreciated the old-school, classic Vegas vibe of the dessert menu with selections such as baked Alaska, creme brulee, strawberries Romanoff, and bread pudding. No matter which you choose, it will be love at first bite.

Wine

Wine at Binions Steak House

Top of Binion’s Steakhouse offers a wine menu that perfectly complements the food. The largest selection is the cabernet, which makes sense considering how wonderfully a nice cab goes with a perfectly prepared steak.

If you prefer to enjoy something from the bar while dining, Binion’s does offer cocktails as well.

Dress Code

Dress Code at Binions restaurant

Top of Binion’s Steakhouse offers a menu and ambiance that’s upscale but comfortable, and we think the attire you wear when dining should feel the same.

Dress nicely, but it’s not stuff. A nice dress or pants/skirt with a blouse is fine for ladies, and gentlemen should wear nice pants and a collared shirt.

We’d skip the athletic wear, overly revealing clothing, flip flops, torn clothing, or anything that’s too casual.

Binion’s Steakhouse is open for dinner service every evening from Thursday until Monday. They open at 5 pm and close at 10 pm. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday every week.

Binion’s Steakhouse is located in Binion’s Gambling Hall at 128 E Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas. You can find the restaurant and the spectacular views located on the 24th floor.
