Dolby Live at Park MGM

Last Updated on May 22, 2023

Anyone who has been to Las Vegas knows that there’s no shortage of entertainment venues! However, the Dolby Live at Park MGM, formerly known as the Park Theater, has become one of the most popular entertainment venues on the Strip in recent years. It’s fairly new and has already seen some of the biggest artists – like Lady Gaga and Usher.

Still, the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM isn’t just for entertainment. It’s also a popular venue for conventions and award shows.

If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas, whether for business or pleasure and plan on attending an event at the Dolby Live Theater, we have you covered. Here’s all the latest information on the upcoming shoes, where to find the best seats, and navigating that special challenge in Las Vegas – parking

Dolby Live Theater

Dolby Live Theater

Park Theater was officially renamed Dolby Live Theater in October 2021. As the name suggests, Dolby Digital had a big part in transforming the old Park Theater into a new space with out-of-this-world sound quality. The theater has an advanced Dolby Atmos sound system that was custom designed to fit the space.

One thing that makes this live venue unique is how thoughtfully designed it was from top to bottom. There’s not a bad seat in the house when it comes to the visual and audio quality for the audience members. You’ll be immersed in whatever happens on stage, even from the nosebleed seats. There are 6,400 seats, or 5,200 for residency shows, making Dolby Live at Park MGM the second largest Theater on the Las Vegas Strip.

MGM Resorts International has wasted no time booking exciting live shows at the Park MGM Dolby Live Theater since it opened, and 2023 is no exception! Each concert and Las Vegas residency show will be different from the last, but they’ll all have great sound quality and atmosphere for guests to enjoy.

One thing that changes from one show to the next is what time the show begins and when the doors open. Purchasing tickets for a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM may reserve your seats, but that doesn’t mean you should wait until the last minute to arrive. Take it from us. You want to arrive early when you’re attending a concert on the Las Vegas Strip!

The process of entering the venue, going through security, and preparing before you head to your seat is no small feat. We recommend arriving when doors open so you’ll have plenty of time to use the restroom, grab a drink, and find your seats before the show begins.

Dolby Live at Park MGM Concerts

Usher – My Way the Las Vegas Residency

Usher has had no shortage of success in his career, which began in 1993. The R&B singer has sold a whopping 75 million records and won 8 Grammy Awards. The news of an Usher Residency coming to Dolby Live at Park MGM created a lot of buzz online. As the Las Vegas residency dates draw closer, we can’t help but to be buzzing with excitement too!

Usher creates an amazing experience that makes other concerts look boring with his captivating stage presence, smooth dance moves, and seemingly endless talent. Each residency show at Dolby Live at Park MGM is scheduled to start at 9 PM, but it hasn’t been said yet what time the doors will open.

The Usher Las Vegas Residency shows are currently scheduled for:

  • June 16, 17, 20, 23, 24, 28, 29
  • July 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 12, 14, 15

Maroon 5: The Las Vegas Residency

Maroon 5 is taking up residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in the summer of 2023.

Maroon 5 has become one of the hottest groups of their time and has also made a name for themselves on the Las Vegas concert scene. With three Grammy Awards and eight Billboard Music Awards to their credit, Maroon 5 is a recognizable name with hits you’re sure to know, like “Harder to Breathe.”  Adam Levine of Maroon 5 recently welcomed baby #3, so we’ll have the chance to see if he still has the same energy on stage or if those late-night feedings are taking a toll.

The current scheduled dates for their Las Vegas Residency at Park MGM are July 28 and 29, as well as August 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, and 12. We can guarantee this – seeing Maroon 5 rock the stage live is sure to be a transformative music experience you won’t want to miss! Doors open at 7 PM with an 8 PM showtime.

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars comes to the stage at Dolby Live as one of the most recognizable voices in music today. If you’re familiar with him, then you already know that he has a discography that offers a taste of multiple music genres. He offers some R&B, more than a little bit of funk, pop, soul, rock, reggae, and touches of disco with a serious 70s vibe.

What also makes Bruno Mars stand out on stage is his infectious energy. We can’t wait to see the 12-time Grammy winner on stage at Dolby Live.

Audiences at Dolby Live Theater can experience a Bruno Mars concert live on May 24, 27, 28, and 31, as well as June 2 and 3.

Doors open at 7:30 PM with a 9 PM concert start time.

Luis Miguel

Luis Miguel

Luis Miguel is coming to the Park MGM Dolby Live Theater in September 2023! Miguel currently has three concerts scheduled at the theater on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of September. Luis is a Mexican singer who has been putting out international hits for decades.

Doors will open at 8 PM, and the show starts at 9 PM. These 3 Las Vegas shows are part of the Luis Miguel 2023 tour. If we know one thing about Miguel, it’s that his live shows are full of energy that will have you dancing from start to finish!

Dolby Live Theater Seating

The stunning Dolby Theater is a large yet intimate space with seating for up to 6,400 guests. It’s widely agreed by people who have seen a show at the theater, including us, that there’s not a bad seat in the house! The Dolby Atmos sound system and seating layout give everyone a good live entertainment experience.

If you’re willing to splurge for premium seats, there are VIP seats at multiple spots in the venue. The first VIP section is directly in front of the stage. Further back, there is more premium seating in the front VIP areas of sections 202, 203, 204, 303, 304, and 305. VIP tickets tend to be more “worth it” if you’re attending a particular event you’re passionate about. Sometimes getting the best live experience for your favorite artist is worth any price tag!

Dolby Live Theater Seating

For guests interested in non-VIP seating for a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM, tickets can vary quite a bit depending on the section you choose. The 100’s sections are closest to the stage and sell out quickly. The 200s sections sit slightly further back but offer a similar view and sound as you get from the 100s sections. Sections 202, 203, and 204 are the most centered on the stage.

The 300’s sections sit further back and higher with a significant drop in ticket prices. Sections 303, 304, and 305 will provide the best view of the stage. The furthest seats from the stage are located in the 400s sections. While these seats aren’t the most popular choice, it does make it affordable to purchase full-price tickets without blowing your Vegas budget.

Dolby Live is easily accessible at Park MGM on the casino level. The entrance to Dolby Live Theater is located to the right, just past the casino floor, next to the MGM Rewards desk.

There are two options for parking when you see a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM. You can self-park by accessing the self-parking garage via Park Ave. There is a fee to park in the garage for everyone, even if you have a room at Park MGM.

Your second parking option is the Park MGM valet. The valet makes it easy to get to the theater on time and will save you a bit of walking, but it costs more than the self-parking garage. Valet prices are higher on weekends and during special events at Park MGM and the nearby T Mobile Arena.

Are balcony seats good at Dolby Live Las Vegas?

The venue’s thoughtful design makes every seat a good seat! Balcony seats have a great view of the stage from a slightly higher angle. The sound quality is quite impressive, and additional screens around the stage provide a closer look at what’s happening on stage.

Can you take a purse to the Dolby Live Las Vegas Theater?

Dolby Live has a bag policy in place to keep guests, entertainers, and Park MGM staff safe. The policy does allow small bags, though! The maximum size for purses and bags is 12” x 12” x 6”. If you bring a purse, it will be searched during the security check.

Does Dolby Live have food?

Dolby Live is comparable to other Las Vegas concert venues in terms of food and drink availability. There are plenty of spots inside the theater to buy food, but it won’t come cheap! We recommend eating before you arrive and sticking to drinks or small snacks while you’re in the theater.

Where is the Dolby Live Theater?

Dolby Live Theater is located on the casino level of Park MGM Resort.

Is there a Cirque du Soleil show at Dolby Live in 2023?

There are not currently any Cirque du Soleil shows scheduled at Dolby Live, but there are shows at other MGM Resorts properties!
