Anyone who has been to Las Vegas knows that there’s no shortage of entertainment venues! However, the Dolby Live at Park MGM, formerly known as the Park Theater, has become one of the most popular entertainment venues on the Strip in recent years. It’s fairly new and has already seen some of the biggest artists – like Lady Gaga and Usher.
Still, the Dolby Live Theater at Park MGM isn’t just for entertainment. It’s also a popular venue for conventions and award shows.
If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas, whether for business or pleasure and plan on attending an event at the Dolby Live Theater, we have you covered. Here’s all the latest information on the upcoming shoes, where to find the best seats, and navigating that special challenge in Las Vegas – parking!
Dolby Live Theater
Park Theater was officially renamed Dolby Live Theater in October 2021. As the name suggests, Dolby Digital had a big part in transforming the old Park Theater into a new space with out-of-this-world sound quality. The theater has an advanced Dolby Atmos sound system that was custom designed to fit the space.
One thing that makes this live venue unique is how thoughtfully designed it was from top to bottom. There’s not a bad seat in the house when it comes to the visual and audio quality for the audience members. You’ll be immersed in whatever happens on stage, even from the nosebleed seats. There are 6,400 seats, or 5,200 for residency shows, making Dolby Live at Park MGM the second largest Theater on the Las Vegas Strip.
MGM Resorts International has wasted no time booking exciting live shows at the Park MGM Dolby Live Theater since it opened, and 2023 is no exception! Each concert and Las Vegas residency show will be different from the last, but they’ll all have great sound quality and atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
One thing that changes from one show to the next is what time the show begins and when the doors open. Purchasing tickets for a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM may reserve your seats, but that doesn’t mean you should wait until the last minute to arrive. Take it from us. You want to arrive early when you’re attending a concert on the Las Vegas Strip!
The process of entering the venue, going through security, and preparing before you head to your seat is no small feat. We recommend arriving when doors open so you’ll have plenty of time to use the restroom, grab a drink, and find your seats before the show begins.

If you’re familiar with him, then you already know that he has a discography that offers a taste of multiple music genres. He offers some R&B, more than a little bit of funk, pop, soul, rock, reggae, and touches of disco with a serious 70s vibe.
What also makes Bruno Mars stand out on stage is his infectious energy. We can’t wait to see the 12-time Grammy winner on stage at Dolby Live.

Dolby Live Theater Details
Seating
The stunning Dolby Theater is a large yet intimate space with seating for up to 6,400 guests. It’s widely agreed by people who have seen a show at the theater, including us, that there’s not a bad seat in the house! The Dolby Atmos sound system and seating layout give everyone a good live entertainment experience.
If you’re willing to splurge for premium seats, there are VIP seats at multiple spots in the venue. The first VIP section is directly in front of the stage. Further back, there is more premium seating in the front VIP areas of sections 202, 203, 204, 303, 304, and 305. VIP tickets tend to be more “worth it” if you’re attending a particular event you’re passionate about. Sometimes getting the best live experience for your favorite artist is worth any price tag!
For guests interested in non-VIP seating for a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM, tickets can vary quite a bit depending on the section you choose. The 100’s sections are closest to the stage and sell out quickly. The 200s sections sit slightly further back but offer a similar view and sound as you get from the 100s sections. Sections 202, 203, and 204 are the most centered on the stage.
The 300’s sections sit further back and higher with a significant drop in ticket prices. Sections 303, 304, and 305 will provide the best view of the stage. The furthest seats from the stage are located in the 400s sections. While these seats aren’t the most popular choice, it does make it affordable to purchase full-price tickets without blowing your Vegas budget.

Parking
There are two options for parking when you see a show at Dolby Live at Park MGM. You can self-park by accessing the self-parking garage via Park Ave. There is a fee to park in the garage for everyone, even if you have a room at Park MGM.
Your second parking option is the Park MGM valet. The valet makes it easy to get to the theater on time and will save you a bit of walking, but it costs more than the self-parking garage. Valet prices are higher on weekends and during special events at Park MGM and the nearby T Mobile Arena.
