But, what was the inspiration behind the Firefly restaurants? A man with love for Las Vegas, Mexican food, and craft beer. Former office worker turned chef John Simmons brought his passion to life, and it didn’t take long before one location turned into two. Soon after, Firefly Tapas Kitchen & Bar was a huge hit.
Dining at Firefly
Firefly Tapas Kitchen and Bars’ first location in Las Vegas is Firefly southwest. This location boasts a well-lit patio perfect for a couple on a date. With a warm, welcoming dining room, bar seating, and gorgeous patio seating, Firefly brings a bit of Las Vegas to the suburbs.
Guest reviews highlight the atmosphere and attentive staff, making this an excellent place for locals to take guests or enjoy a night out with family and friends. Firefly Paradise and Southwest also offer catering and banquet facilities for larger parties.

Firefly Tapas Kitchen Bar offers a few different menus from Brunch, chill tapas, hot tapas, seat food tapas, meat and poultry tapas, vegetarian, gluten-free, paella happy hour, and desserts.
Their Brunch menu has classic dishes like pancakes and waffles. While also offering a few more unique items like Elvis Waffles and an assortment of exciting tapas. While brunch tapas might not be familiar to some people, at Firefly, they are a hit. Try some brunch food in tapas style like avocado toasties and ham and cheese croquetas.
For those with dietary restrictions, Firefly Tapas Kitchen and bar also has a vegetarian/vegan menu and a gluten-free menu on their site. What are tapas without the drinks? Firefly has their guests covered in the bar area.
For wine lovers, they offer sangria by glass or pitcher and an array of white and red wines offered in 6 oz, 9oz bottles. Their wine list also includes a section of rose and sparkling wines.
Reviews can’t say enough about the flight’s menu. Three flights offered include 2 oz of 11 different wines for $15 a flight. This is a great option for customers looking to have more wine options to pair with tapas.
Not a wine drinker? No problem! Ask a server for the cocktails menu. There, you will find a selection of flavored mojitos and unique house cocktails, including The New Girl, a drink made with Firefly house berry-infused vodka. Another yummy option is the Buzzed Bunny, made up of chipotle-infused tequila or mezcal, fresh carrot lemon, and honey.
Beyond the specialty cocktails, Firefly also offers classic drinks like gin and tonics and some old fashions. They also have a wide selection of tequila, mezcal, bourbon, whiskey, rum, scotch, and vodka. There truly is a drink for everyone at Firefly.
Firefly Las Vegas Locations
Firefly has a few restaurant locations across Las Vegas, NV, where guests can come and enjoy this unique dining experience.
Their OG location is known as Firefly Southwest, located off Buffalo and Warm Springs, a great place to get tapas in the suburbs. Reviews can’t say enough about the location or the food.
Firefly’s second location is just behind the famous Las Vegas Strip. This restaurant’s location is a great place to get food before a big night out in Vegas. Inside you will find a large but intimate dining room with a beautiful skylight. There is patio access at this location if you love the idea of enjoying your tapas experience while taking in the Vegas views.
The Firefly Tapas Kitchen and Bar locations have added even more variety to the already rich culinary scene in Las Vegas.
Currently, Firefly on Paradise is temporarily closed, while their other location Firefly Southwest is open for dining and take-out.

FireFly Southwest has great hours, but they do get busy, so book a table in advance.
