Mardi Gras Hotel Las Vegas

When it comes to Las Vegas, many people want to stay on the Las Vegas Strip, which can be convenient and a lot of fun, but it can also be more expensive. The Mardi Gras Hotel Las Vegas is an excellent middle-ground accommodation that offers clean rooms, a great location near the Strip, and an onsite casino, all at a price that fits right into any budget.

The Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has over 300 oversized, spacious rooms for guests, several amenities, and excellent personal customer service.

With a modest design, guests will feel comfortable during their stay. Let’s take a look at the rooms, rates, resort fees, and amenities — so you know what to expect before your next trip.

Hotel Room Options at Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino

The Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino offers four different room options, which consist of the double queen, queen, king, and pool view selections.

Queen Rooms

When you reserve a queen room at Mardis Gras Hotel & Casino, you can expect a standard room that’s spacious enough to lounge in comfort. The queen room is 430 sq ft, which exceeds the size of the standard room at other hotels on the Strip. The Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino makes sure you’re comfortable with plush beddings, free wifi, complimentary toiletries, and other comfort amenities.

Double Queen Rooms

The double queen room has two queen beds and a separate living area with a counter and bar stools, a sofa, a refrigerator, and a coffee table. The double queen room starts at over 430 square feet and is perfect for families that need more than one bed. The Double Queen standard room sleeps up to four adults but can accommodate up to five guests, meaning that it will sleep five if at least one of the guests is a child. Free wi-fi is included.

King Rooms

The king room is similar to the queen room but has a bigger bed, making it great for a couple or business travelers. This is a spacious room measuring 430 sq ft, with a generous living area and an ultra-comfortable bed to rest up before a day of shopping at the Fashion Show Mall or hitting 18 holes at a nearby golf course. Free wi-fi is included.

Pool View Rooms

Personally, we think the best rooms at the Mardis Gras Hotel & Casino are the ones with a pool view! This spacious room is the same 430 sq ft as the others, but you get a nice wide window with a great view of the Mardis Gras Hotel and Casino pool area. Free wifi is included.

In-Room Amenities

All of the guest rooms at Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino feature a long list of amenities meant for comfort during your stay. All rooms are equipped with free internet access (free wifi isn’t something to take for granted in Sin City), air conditioning and climate control, a flat screen tv, a refrigerator, a countertop seating area, daily maid service, an alarm clock, a hair dryer, and iron/ironing board. Free wifi is included.

If you require accessible bathroom accommodations, check with the front desk to make sure your room is properly equipped for your need.

Does Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino Offer a Smoking Room?

The Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino offers both smoking and non-smoking rooms. In addition to offering guest accommodation in smoking rooms, the hotel also offers designated smoking areas that are conveniently located around the property.

Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino makes sure that guests who prefer non-smoking accommodations are placed in rooms that are clean and free of smoke. No smoking of any type is allowed in non-smoking rooms, and there is currently a $100 cleaning fee for any guest that smokes or allows smoking of any type, including vapes, in a non-smoking room.

If a non-smoking room is important to you, make sure you double-check with the desk that your room is indeed non-smoking. There are a few guest reviews for this hotel that claim they wanted non-smoking but were put in a smoking guest accommodation instead and that the room smelled awful.

On-Site Casino

If you’re one to enjoy a fun casino, Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino offers one located right on the property, so you don’t have to make your way to the Strip to place your bets or pull a slot. The casino features all your favorite table games and slots, so you’re not missing anything by not going to busier resort casinos – other than the crowds!

The Mardi Gras Casino is open 24/7, just like the ones on the Strip! The casino lounge features a total of fifty keno, video poker, and video reel slot machines, so you are sure to find a game to entertain you in a comfortable, friendly environment.

Better yet, the Mardi Gras Casino is always offering promotions like bonuses and multipliers every day. They also have the Player’s Club, where you can earn points towards rewards such as free slot play.

On-Site Restaurant

The Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino offers a restaurant called Bon Temps Cafe that is open 24/7. It is a pub-style atmosphere that invites you to grab some food any time of day. The Bon Temps Cafe has video slots at the bar and several big-screen TVs airing sports programming so that you can lounge as long as you’d like.

Keep in mind that this isn’t a fancy or fine-dining restaurant, but it is a great place for casual eats at the Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino. Expect to see a menu full of quick bites like sandwiches and bar food. The best part is that it doesn’t matter how much time you spend at the casino. The Bon Temps Cafe is always open, so you can grab a bite before heading off to your next adventure. Plus, it’s just a good, affordable full-service restaurant.

Currently, the Mardis Gras Hotel & Casino does not offer room service, but you can always grab a snack any time of the day or night at the Cafe. Individually wrapped food options may be available to take back to your room. Check with the Cafe for current options.

Amenities

Pool

Like most hotels in Vegas, the Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino doesn’t have an indoor pool, but they make up for it with their large seasonal pool area.

The outdoor pool at the Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino has a large pool deck with plenty of seating and shade options. There is also a whirlpool spa perfect for unwinding. Even if your room doesn’t have a hot tub, you can still relax in the pool hot tub well into the evening.

Since it is open daily from 9 am to 9 pm, you’ll have plenty of time to relax poolside and cool off from the Las Vegas heat.

If you’re in need of dry cleaning laundry services, contact guest services at Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino. They’ll be happy to help set something up with an outside laundry services provider.

Mardi Gras Hotel Las Vegas Parking

There’s no huge parking structure to navigate! The free parking alone makes the Mardi Gras Hotel & Casino a great deal in Sin City. You can park for free and easily take the Monorail or a shuttle service anywhere you want to go.

Sounds too good to be true? Wait until you hear about the rates! Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino is one of the most affordable Las Vegas hotels that offer the cleanliness, customer service, and amenities that you expect.

Rates start as low as $40 per night, depending on the season, availability, and more. Check out our lowest rates here.

Resort Fees

While Covid restrictions are currently lifted, Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino may ask that guests wear personal protective equipment, use the property hand sanitizer, respect social distancing guidelines on the property, high touch surfaces should be avoided, and other common public safety measures when in public areas of the hotel.

Getting Around Las Vegas From the Mardi Gras Hotel

Mardi Gras Hotel Casino’s location is one of the features that make it such a popular choice for budget-friendly accommodations in Las Vegas. It’s not right on the Las Vegas Strip, but it certainly isn’t far, and you have several options for getting there.

Getting to the Strip by Car

If you have your own transportation, you can easily get to the Las Vegas Strip by taking Sands Ave, which will bring you close to the Palazzo at the Venetian and Treasure Island, or you can take Flamingo Rd instead. This route will deliver you to the part of the Strip that contains the Flamingo Hotel and Caesars Palace to the north and Bally’s Las Vegas and the Paris Hotel to the south.

Monorails, Shuttles, and Ride Shares

If you don’t want to drive (and we can’t blame you — traffic in Las Vegas can be a hot mess), the Las Vegas Monorail is located within a short walking distance from the Mardi Gras Hotel Casino. The Las Vegas Monorail will get you within walking distance of practically anywhere on the Strip where you want to be.

There are also multiple shuttle services that will get you around town. A shuttle service is an easy way to get back and forth from the Las Vegas Convention Center or Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran International Airport) to the Mardi Gras Hotel Casino.

Taxi service and ride-share services are also available to and from the Mardi Gras Hotel and Casino.

  1. I booked a room on hopper for October 11 the and 12th. I will have 2 kids with me which can share the other bed. What is the charge for this? Hopper wouldn’t let me put the amount of people staying. I hope it’s not much or I might cancel. Please let me know. Thanks
