Treasure Island Las Vegas is a popular resort located right on the Las Vegas Strip. It’s one of the more affordable options in this prime location, which makes it a top choice for budget-minded travelers who don’t want to miss out on a single second of the Las Vegas experience.
Treasure Island Hotel & Casino (a Radisson hotel property) offers a good selection of rooms, cozy suites, good dining options, entertainment, a casino, and plenty of the amenities you expect when staying on the Strip. Plus, this is one of the few locations in Las Vegas where you can still find free parking! Sign us up for that!
If Treasure Island is on your list of possible hotels to stay in during your next excursion to Las Vegas, here is our honest opinion and everything you need to know ahead of your stay.
Rooms
Deluxe Rooms
The Deluxe Rooms at Treasure Island (TI) Las Vegas are what we consider the hotel’s “basic” guest rooms. They’re not large, measuring 400 sq ft, but they are roomy enough to rest comfortably and recharge in between your Sin City adventures.
The rooms themselves don’t offer much flair, and the decor feels a little dated. Still, we don’t have any complaints about the comfort, especially for the price. The Deluxe rooms are offered with both a single king room option and a two-queen bed configuration.
The Deluxe Rooms do have a nice spacious bathroom with marble flooring and a lighted vanity mirror. Additional amenities include a flat-screen television, free Wi-Fi, charging ports, and a mini refrigerator.
When you book a Deluxe Room, you can also request an upgraded room at an additional charge. Options include a Strip View (see below), Panoramic View, or the Tower Deluxe.
Deluxe Strip View Rooms
The Deluxe Strip View Rooms are exactly like the regular Deluxe Rooms, except – you guessed it – they offer a really nice view of the Strip. With floor-to-ceiling windows, you can view the Strip at night (or during the day) and have a great view of the highlights of Las Vegas.
The regular Deluxe Rooms start at $59 per night, so even with the upgrade, the combination of the price and view can’t be beaten.
Deluxe Spa Room
If you crave a little extra pampering, we think that the Deluxe Spa Room is the way to go. It’s still a super-affordable room, with prices starting at just $79 per night, but the rooms are all located on the same floor as the Oleksandra Spa.
Guests can choose between two queen beds or a single king room. These rooms are the same size as the standard Deluxe Room, but they come with a few extra little spa perks to pamper yourself. Plus, guests who stay in the Deluxe Spa room receive access for two to the Oleksandra Spa facility. This includes the use of the sauna, whirlpool, steam room, and fitness area at no extra charge.
Deluxe Tower Room
The most upscale of the Deluxe Rooms is the Deluxe Tower Room. These are still 400 sq ft, so they’re not any more spacious, but they are located on the Penthouse Floor and feature vaulted ceilings plus floor-to-ceiling windows that offer a more than incredible view of the Las Vegas skyline.
Run of House Rooms
When you book a stay at Treasure Island, you can also opt for a Run of the House Room. This isn’t a specific type of room, but rather you stay in a room that the hotel chooses for you, often at a slightly discounted rate.
These rooms vary in location, but they all have the same in-room amenities, including air conditioning, an in-room safe, optional laundry service (extra charge), and optional room service. For more valuable items, inquire with the front desk about safety deposit boxes.
Suites
Petite Suite
The Petite Suite is ideal for single business travelers and couples that want a little more space than what a Deluxe Room offers. The Petite Suite measures 630 sq ft, has great views and has two separate bathrooms – with a deep soaking whirlpool tub which we just love.
Individual climate control, a small seating area, a desk/work area, flat-screen television, and plenty of closet space make this a wonderful small suite for travelers on a budget.
Executive Suite
The Executive Suite, which features a single king bed, is, in our opinion, one of the most elegant options at Treasure Island while still keeping the nightly rate reasonably low. The 830 sq ft Executive Suite starts at only $129 per night.
We love the cleaner, more modern lines of this suite and the spaciousness it offers. Like the Petite Suite, there are two bathrooms – one with a walk-in shower and the other with a whirlpool tub. We feel like the vanity space in these bathrooms is larger and that there’s more storage space as well.
Tower Suite
The Tower Suite measures 930 sq ft and offers a spacious, open floor plan. The seating area features a large sofa, plus there’s a small table with chairs. This means there’s ample room to entertain a few friends – as long as you don’t mind that the sleeping area is adjacent.
The colors of this suite are warmer, featuring hues of brown and gold. It’s subdued and a little dated but not rundown in any way. The Tower Suite features all the same amenities as the other Treasure Island suites, but we love the small walk-in closet attached to the bathroom.
Luxury Suite
The Luxury Suite at TI Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel, is the first of the collection that really steps up in terms of space, style, and price. The Luxury Suite measures 1030 sq ft and features a separate living area and separate bedroom with a single king bed.
There’s definitely more of an upscale vibe to this suite, with modern decor, art, interesting lines, and carpeting in the bedroom but not in the main living area. There’s also a small separate dining area – and the views are amazing!
The Luxury Suite starts at $499 per night.
Penthouse Suite
The Penthouse Suite is the top-of-the-line offering from Treasure Island. TI Las Vegas Penthouse Suites are located on the 36th floor of the hotel and measure 1800 sq ft and feature a single king bed. Amenities that you’ll find in the Penthouse Suite but not the other suites on the property include
- Power window dressings
- Wet bar & Butler station
- Spacious and elegant foyer
- Dining table that seats up to eight guests
- Room to entertain small crowds of up to twenty people
- Private office area
- Whirlpool-style tubs in each of the two bathrooms
Prices for the Penthouse Suite at TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino start at $2000 per night.
Accessible Rooms & Suites
Treasure Island – a Radisson Hotel offers a good number of accessible rooms & suites for guests who need ADA accommodations. We haven’t personally stayed in any of these rooms, but we have friends that have, and they have, by and large, been pleased with their experience at TI Hotel.
There are a total of 71 ADA rooms at TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. All of these rooms include wide door frames, safety features in the bathrooms, a roll-in shower – with shower chairs, and lift toilet risers that are available upon request.
We appreciate that TI also offers complimentary wheelchairs and scooters, complimentary listening devices, and restaurant line passes upon request. If your needs require something that we haven’t listed here, we’ve found Treasure Island to be helpful in doing what they can to make sure you have a comfortable stay.
Dining
Ok, you’ve settled into your room, and now it’s time to eat! We don’t know about you, but traveling always leaves us ravenously hungry. Treasure Island doesn’t offer the most extensive list of dining options, but we’re not going to complain about what they do have. They seem to have the bases pretty well covered with different types of foods, ranging from steakhouse fare to super casual eats.
One thing about Treasure Island’s restaurant lineup is that there isn’t a ton of cultural diversity in the offerings. Fortunately, with its location right on the Strip, you have many other options in nearby Las Vegas hotels & resorts.
Phil’s Steakhouse
A classic steakhouse with an elevated menu. Our recommendations to try include the Chicken Fried Lobster Platter and the Crispy Red Skin Snapper. The average check price per person at Phil’s Steakhouse is about $50.
Seafood Shack
This is a more casual restaurant, but you wouldn’t know it by the food. We love the fresh taste of the seafood here and all of the different preparations. Our favorite dishes include the San Francisco Cioppino and the Valencia Pan Roast. The average check price is $35 per person.
Gilley’s BBQ
Gilley’s BBQ is where you can grub on some yummy eats, ride a mechanical bull and take up line dancing. The average check price ranges anywhere from $15-$35, considering you can just order bar-food-style apps or go for a full meal.
Senor Frog’s
If you love both Mexican food and a lively atmosphere as much as we do, this is the place to be! The Mexican Shrimp Cocktail is delish, as is the Carne Asada Torta. The average price is about $25 – $35 per person.
Pho
This is a casual spot to grab authentic tasting Vietnamese cuisine on the quick. We love Pho Tai and Chicken Katsu. Yum! Pho is also very reasonably priced, with the average price being just about $15 per person.
Las Vegas Yacht Club
If you want to indulge in delicious, fresh seafood, Las Vegas Yacht Club is a new addition to Treasure Island that will not disappoint. The menu features market fresh catches of the day, oysters, whole lobster, seafood salads, calamari, and much more. This is a casual, semi-formal restaurant where the average cost per person is $65, which is not high by Las Vegas standards.
Quick Bites & Casual Eats
- Pizzeria Francesco’s
- The Coffee Shop (open 24 hours)
- Malena’s Yogurt Plus
- Golden Circle Sportsbook & Bar
Bars & Nightlife
The nightlife scene at Treasure Island isn’t the most vibrant, but they do feature three bars that we have no problem hanging out at. Each offers its own vibe, but they’re all pretty easygoing and laid back.
- Mojito Bar
- Margarita Bar
- Breeze Bar
- The Cove Bar & Arcade
Treasure Island Shows & Attractions
What would a hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard be without some headlining entertainment? At first glance, you might think that Treasure Island pales in comparison to some of the other resorts on the Strip (we’re waving at you Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood), but TI is where you can find one of the most popular Cirque du Soleil shows.
One thing to note is that Treasure Island no longer puts on the Pirate Show with the Sirens of TI that it has been so well-known for over the years. However, if you’re feeling reminiscent, you can still check out a TI Radisson Hotel photo gallery and still see some great images of the production.
Mystere by Cirque du Soleil
If you know anything about Cirque du Soleil productions, you know they are all fantastic – and fantastical! TI Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel just happens to be home to one of our all-time favorites – Mystere.
Mystere by Cirque du Soleil has won many accolades, including being named the Best Production Show by Las Vegas Review-Journal. There’s a combination of acrobats, choreography, music, and visuals that have always left us entranced.
The show runs 90 minutes and is performed daily from Friday to Tuesday. Special performances and blackout dates are listed on the website.
Spa & Fitness Center
Treasure Island (TI) Hotel & Casino is home to a world-class facility called the Oleksandra Spa. In our opinion, the Oleksandra Spa competes with the top spas in other resorts in Las Vegas.
There’s a full menu of massage services that include everything from relaxing hot stone massages to Swedish massages and traveler’s relief massages. You can’t go wrong here. They’re all wonderful.
The spa features a Russian Banya, where guests can enjoy a luxurious Venik massage. There’s also a long list of facial and body services, plus a salon is on-site.
Guests who are staying at TI Hotel can enjoy access to the steam room, sauna, and whirlpool for a relatively small fee. The fee is higher for non-resort fee-paying guests, including those who aren’t staying at the hotel.
Guests must be at least 18 years old to enjoy the spa services and spa areas – including the steam room, sauna, whirlpool, and fitness facility.
Fitness Center
Treasure Island (TI) Hotel offers guests an on-site fitness center to use during their stay. The fitness center isn’t anything fancy, but it is clean and adequate. It’s spacious enough that we’ve never seen it be crowded, and you have decent options for equipment.
From what we’ve experienced, the fitness area at TI Hotel is open during typical business hours, so don’t expect to be able to work out past 6 pm. However, these hours are likely subject to change, so it never hurts to ask what the current hours are.
Pool
Lounging at the pool is, in our opinion, an important part of the Las Vegas resort experience. Some hotel pools are bigger and better than others, and we put TI’s swimming pool at the upper end of the middle range of the pools we’ve been to.
The seasonal outdoor pool complex isn’t large, and there’s only one main pool. However, there is a hot tub that seats up to 25, so that is a nice touch. What Treasure Island’s pool complex lacks in size, it makes up for in comfort.
If you want a more comfortable, leisurely experience at the pool, treasure island offers lounges, daybeds, and cabanas that are available for rent.
- Lounges – include a shade and are intended for one person only ($40 – $50)
- Daybeds – great for you and your bestie or for couples ($70 $90)
- Cabanas – Good for small groups of friends or families and can accommodate up to eight people ($180 – $310)
- Lanai – Ideal for larger groups of up to twenty-four people, but a half lanai that’s roomy enough for twelve is also available ($490 – $590)
There’s this perception about Las Vegas that the weather is always scorching, and truth be told, in the summer, it is. However, things do really cool off in the winter months, and tourism isn’t always at its highest. As a result, many hotels in Las Vegas close their pools for the winter season, with Treasure Island not being an exception.
The seasonal pool opens in April and stays open through October. However, if the weather permits, the pool may be open on select days in March and November.
All guests of TI Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel, have pool access during open hours. Deluxe lounge chairs, daybeds, and cabanas are available at an extra cost.
Pool Rules
- Minors require adult supervision
- Guests may not bring toys into the pool area
- Smoking is only allowed in the cabanas or lanais
- One sealed, non-alcoholic drink is allowed per guest (cabanas come with a mini refrigerator filled with drinks)
- No outside food is allowed, with the exception of food and drink from certain TI restaurants.
- Towels provided by TI are to remain in the pool area and be returned when leaving.
Casino
Of course, Treasure Island Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel has a casino! It’s Las Vegas, after all! The casino at the TI Las Vegas Hotel measures nearly 50,000 sq ft. We think the actual measurement is actually 47.9K + sq ft.
The space is filled with all the usual subjects of table games and slot machines. We can’t say that the Treasure Island casino is the ritziest we’ve ever been to, but there’s usually a decent amount of people there to keep the energy level high, and it’s a comfortable, low-key environment to enjoy your time in.
At one point, personal protective equipment was required, and you could check out protective shields and such. However, as we all know, those guidelines are no longer in place. If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, then, by all means, do so. If you’d like a mask but don’t have one, ask one of the TI staff members, and they may be able to help.
Hotel Policies
Check-In & Check-Out Times
When staying at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel property, the standard check-in time is 3 pm, and the checkout time is 11 am. This is pretty typical for hotels in Las Vegas or anywhere in the United States, really. If you wish to use it, the self-check-in kiosk at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino is located right next to Starbucks, close to the Mystere Theater.
Early Check-In & Late Check Out
But, any traveler knows that there are times when your flight is arriving three hours before check-in, and you just don’t want to drag your luggage around or wait in the lobby bar for hours. Your itinerary might also have you wishing that a late checkout was available because it just isn’t convenient to vacate your room at 11 am.
Many hotels in Las Vegas do offer early check-in and late check-out, subject to availability – however, that availability is often limited. One thing we really appreciate about TI Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is that they are much more accommodating on this issue than other hotels we’ve been to.
Based on availability, Treasure Island offers an early check-in time of 11 am and a late check-out time of 3 pm. In our experience, it has never been an issue to extend our stay by a few hours.
There is a fee of $40 for the express early check-in and $40 for the extended late check-out. This price is only guaranteed if you request these services in advance by calling Treasure Island in Las Vegas ahead of time. If you wait until you arrive or decide at the last minute you need a few more hours, the cost is higher, and the availability isn’t guaranteed.
To add a few hours onto your stay when you arrive, head to the Express Check-in line, or reach out to guest services if you want a later departure.
It’s also important to note that these options and prices are only available with the rooms. You might be able to score a little extra time in your suite, but it’s not guaranteed and is granted on a case-by-case basis based on availability.
We’ve found Treasure Island Hotel & Casino to always be accommodating if we needed them to hold our luggage for a few hours in the event of early arrivals and late departures.
Reservations
We strongly suggest making reservations for Treasure Island Hotel & Casino. TI might not be the number one most popular hotel on the Strip, but rooms can fill up fast, especially during peak times. If rooms or suites are available, you still might not get your first choice.
Reservations can be made online at the TI website, or you can contact the hotel guest services directly at 1-800-944-7444. If you have any special check-in instructions, make sure you mention that at the time you make your reservation.
Resort Fee
Like nearly all Las Vegas hotels and resorts, especially those on the Las Vegas Strip, Treasure Island does charge its guests a daily resort fee. Currently, as a Radisson Hotel, Treasure Island charges a mandatory resort fee of $41. The only exception that’s made to this is that, under certain circumstances, Radisson Rewards and MyTI members sometimes have the benefit of waiving resort fees.
The resort fee is not included in the price that you see online when you book your room or suite, and it’s charged per day. The resort fee at Treasure Island covers the use of certain property amenities, including:
- Free parking for all guests
- High-speed internet that can be used on unlimited devices – many hotels limit the number of devices you can use, so we consider this a nice perk.
- Access to the fitness center
- Boarding pass printing
- Local & toll-free calls from your room
- Newspapers – find free newspapers at guest services
- A limited number of copies or faxes (currently 10 per day)
Pets
Treasure Island Hotel Las Vegas doesn’t allow guests to bring their pets to stay with them during their visit. The only exception to this is service animals. If you want to bring your fur baby with you, there are several great pet-friendly hotels on the Las Vegas Strip that will accommodate you.
Smoking
Treasure Island isn’t a smoke-free hotel in Las Vegas, but that doesn’t mean that guests can light up wherever and whenever they choose. There is a select number of smoking rooms available, and smoking is allowed in certain areas of the hotel, including the Treasure Island casino.
Parking
TI Hotel & Casino – a Radisson hotel features something you don’t see too often on the Las Vegas Strip – free parking! Treasure Island offers free self-parking and free valet parking for all visitors and hotel guests.
As a side note, oversized parking isn’t available at the TI property. Treasure Island recommends that oversized vehicles use the closest available parking facilities at the Mirage.
Self-Parking
The Treasure Island self-parking garage offers more than 630 spaces for hotel guests and visitors. There are more than 2,880 rooms at Treasure Island (TI) Las Vegas. You don’t have to be good at math to know that there aren’t very many parking spaces for so many rooms – however, many people don’t drive either their own vehicles or rental cars, so there’s still a decent chance you’ll find a spot to park here.
The best location to find a spot in the parking garage is on the third level, which is where the pedestrian bridge to the hotel is located. EV parking is also available on the fourth level.
Valet Parking
You can find valet services at the main entrance located off Siren’s Cove Blvd. Free valet parking in Las Vegas is akin to finding a magical unicorn, so as you might expect, it can fill up quickly during peak times, during special events, and heavy tourist days. Valet parking is subject to availability and is available 24 hours a day. Although the valet services are free, the hard-working valet staff do greatly appreciate gratuities.
Map & Location
Treasure Island (TI) Hotel & Casino offers a convenient location on the central Las Vegas Strip. It’s located about a mile and a half from the Las Vegas Convention Center and is within walking distance of favorite destinations on the Strip, including the Grand Canal Shoppes, Caesars Palace, and Fashion Show Mall.
If you want to head a little further down the Strip, say closer to City Center, then your best bet would be to explore public transportation or ride-share options since navigating the entire length of the busiest part of the Strip can be exhausting and not for the faint of heart.
Treasure Island Hotel & Casino – a Radisson Hotel is located at 3300 S Las Vegas Blvd.
