The MGM Grand Buffet offers a daily brunch buffet from 8 am to 3 pm that seems a bit tired and has mediocre food. No dinner option is available.
Prices

Of course, things get a little fancier on the weekends, so showing up on the weekend will cost a little more.
You can save 15% by showing your MGM Rewards card at the buffet.
Brunch Buffet Menu
There are both hot and cold stations at the buffet, with options like made-to-order omelets at the omelet station with all the good stuff you want packed into them.

Breakfast Items
Expect to find other morning meal favorites like light, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, eggs of all types, baked ham, and breakfast sides galore. There are also fresh pastries and fruit to satisfy that morning sweet tooth.
- Eggs
- Hash browns
- Bacon
- Sausage
- Pancakes
- Waffles
- Omelets
- French toast
- Chocolate chip pancakes
- Granola
- Yogurt
- Fruit
- Cereal
- Biscuits and gravy

But let’s say that you’re just not that into typical breakfast fare. Your idea of starting the day right involves digging your fork into assorted fresh fish at the seafood station or the perfect smoked salmon on a freshly toasted bagel.
Seafood

The seafood bar has some options, but there are certainly better seafood buffets in Las Vegas.
- Salmon locks
- Shrimp cocktail
- Clams
- Mussels
- Smoked salmon
- Seared ancho trout with spinach and lemon
Carving Station
You’ll find more favorites at the carving station, like perfect prime rib, baked ham, roasted turkey, and more.

There are all your traditional brunch buffet favorites, like fried chicken, soups, an assortment of salads from the salad bar, and pasta.
- Pizza (pepperoni, cheese)
- Beef tips with mushrooms and onions
- Pasta (penne)
- Salad
- Chicken and cheddar broccoli soup
- Brisket
- Corned beef hash
- Beef fritters
- Fried chicken
- Nachos
Brunch combines the best of both worlds. It’s all your favorite breakfast foods combined with more savory and hearty dishes. Ok, and a dessert bar, too.
Desserts

There’s not a huge selection of desserts, but they have the standard fare to satisfy a sweet tooth.
- Ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, mixed)
- Muffins (banana walnut, black forest)
- Croissants
- Donuts
- Cheesecake
- Rice Krispie treats
- German chocolate cake
- Red velvet cake
- Chocolate cake
- Carrot cake
- Marble cake
- Apple pie
Drinks and Cocktails
The MGM Grand Buffet offers two All You Can Drink Packages:
- The Gold Package includes beer, wine, and mimosas.
- The Grand Package includes beer, wine, mimosas, and well liquors.
Hours
The MGM Grand buffet opens at 8 am daily, so you can get an extra early start to your day of exploring Las Vegas.
Obviously, this isn’t the spot for dinner with closing time at 3pm, but if it’s carving station meats, or the fresh, made-to-order omelet station that you’re after, then the MGM is a decent, budget-friendly choice.
Location & Parking
The MGM Grand Buffet is at 3799 Las Vegas Blvd, shown on the map below.
Once you get inside the MGM Grand, follow your way to the red arrow shown below. If you’re entering from the Strip or the Tropicana Bridge, the Buffet is right in the middle of everything.

Self parking at MGM Grand is on the East side of the building near the monorail and rideshare. So you’ll need to walk to the far west side to get to the Buffet.
Reservations
Reservations at the Buffet at MGM Grand are not required and rarely needed, but you can make reservations online here.
FAQs
Is there a dress code for the MGM Grand buffet?
The MGM Grand Buffet is a casual environment, so there is no dress code. Just keep in mind the environment you’re in and dress appropriately so that you feel comfortable, although loose clothing isn’t a bad idea if you plan on stuffing yourself.
Is there a time limit at the MGM Grand Buffet?
Yes, the MGM Grand Buffet has a time limit of 90 minutes.
As you can tell, the MGM Grand Buffet is not one of our top picks, but if you want something quick and inexpensive, then this buffet may be the right fit.
Do you still have fried fish and fried shrimp at the brunch buffet
MGM Grand doesn’t post their full buffet menu online, so we can’t say with 100% certainty what they serve. Based on recent customer reviews and the wide range of food items in the buffet, though, we would be shocked if they don’t offer fried fish and shrimp.
Is the 3:00 pm closing time or latest entry for the buffet. We are going to the KA’ show at 7:00 pm and hoping to not have too much of a wait in between eating at the buffet and sitting for the show. Thanks.
Hi Nikki,
The buffet closes at 3 PM. If you want a spot to kill time before the show or grab a drink after the show, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is located right across from KA Theatre and stays open until 2 – 3 AM, depending on the day of the week.
Is the MGM BUFFET free for folks staying there for 6 nights
No, buffets are not free for anyone anymore
Is there a locals discount for the buffet?
No, right now there are very few discounts in Vegas at all
Can a mgm bogo breakfast buffet and a mgm bogo lunch buffet voucher be used during the same hours 8-2? ( two different parties not the same table etc ) or is breakfast a certain time frame and lunch a certain time frame ?
Yes, breakfast is only 8am – 11am and lunch is 11am – 3pm
does MGM grand brunch/lunch buffet have crab legs available on mondays?
No, no crab legs are available at the MGM Grand buffet because they don’t have a dinner service
Are they still doing the all u can eat crab legs? Are they open during the week like Tuesday & Wednesday?
It says you can access the buffet any time between 8-3 on weekdays. Are you able to leave and come back?
No, once you leave the buffet you’re done. The Buffet of Buffets pass used to let you go to multiple buffets for one price, but that has been discontinued.
We paid 40 dollars for brunch on a Friday and it does not include any free alcohol. Also vegerarian options were very limited. They did refund us our money, however.
Are reservations required or necessary?
Reservations are not required at MGM Grand Buffet, but if you want to skip the line you can book a pass from here: https://mgmgrand.mgmresorts.com/en/restaurants/mgm-grand-buffet.html
Will there be a 2022 Easter buffet brunch? If so, prices and will Easter Bunny atend?
We’ve called MGM Grand buffet, and they currently don’t have any information on Easter brunch yet. We’ll try again as we get closer.
Hello, was wondering if the MGM buffet will be open on New Years Eve? If so how soon can I reserve, thank you in advance.
Yes, the MGM Buffet is open on New Years Eve. To reserve a table you must call (702) 891-1111. Unfortunately, you can’t book online, and they charge $15 per person for any reservations made over the phone – a bit of a scam if you ask me.
can we just not book?? and show up on site?
