MGM Grand Buffet Price, Menu, and Hours

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and when you’re talking about all the deliciousness that can be found at the MGM Grand buffet for that first meal of the morning, we couldn’t agree more. Buffets are ideal because they offer something for everyone, but when the food is as good as the MGM Grand Buffet’s, breakfast just got raised to a whole new level.

The MGM Grand buffet opens at 7 am, so you can get an extra early start to your day of exploring Las Vegas, or maybe this is your final meal before bed after spending the entire night at the casino. The only requirement is that you come hungry.

After more than a year’s hiatus, Las Vegas is more than happy to welcome the MGM Grand buffet back, especially when they’re serving up everyone’s favorite morning dishes. There are both hot and cold stations at the buffet, with options like made-to-order omelets at the omelet station with all the good stuff you want packed into them. 

Expect to find other morning meal favorites like light, fluffy buttermilk pancakes, eggs of all types, baked ham, and breakfast sides galore. There are also fresh pastries and fruit to satisfy that morning sweet tooth. 

But let’s say that you’re just not that into typical breakfast fare. Your idea of starting the day right involves digging your fork into assorted fresh fish at the seafood station or the perfect smoked salmon on a freshly toasted bagel. The MGM Grand buffet has you covered. Here, breakfast isn’t limited to cereal and toast, especially once it’s time for brunch. 

Brunch combines the best of both worlds. It’s all your favorite breakfast foods combined with more savory and hearty dishes. Ok, and a loaded dessert bar too. After all, what would an MGM Grand dining experience be without a grand finale, like Bailey’s cheesecake, to finish the meal?

When the MGM Grand buffet is open during the week, breakfast just sort of slides into lunch without much ado, but on the weekends, brunch is an occasion all on its own. There are all your traditional brunch buffet favorites, like fried chicken, soups, an assortment of salads from the salad bar, and yummy pasta. 

But let’s talk about what makes this Vegas buffet worth your time. First, there are unlimited drinks. Bottomless bloody marys, unlimited beer, wine, and champagne brunch all sound like excellent ways to enjoy yourself on a weekend afternoon.

After being temporarily closed for much of the past year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the MGM Grand Buffet is now open for guests during limited hours of the day. The favorite Vegas buffet is open Thursdays thru Mondays from 7 am – 2 pm. 

Obviously, this isn’t the spot for a weekday or weekend dinner, but if it’s a champagne brunch, eggs benedict, or the fresh, made-to-order omelet station that you’re after, then the MGM is an excellent buffet for an early bird breakfast or any of your favorite dishes for lunch. 

The MGM Grand Buffet is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 

Because the MGM buffet is open only for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, there aren’t separate dinner prices as you find at resorts and hotels offering dinner buffets. Compared to other buffets on the Las Vegas Strip, the MGM Grand buffet pricing is one of the great Vegas deals, especially if you arrive with a healthy appetite. 

During the week, the breakfast buffet is $27.99 per person. If you have a little one under the age of 5, their meal is on the house. The MGM Grand buffet currently doesn’t offer any special pricing for children above the age of 5. If you come a little later for a weekday brunch or lunch, the pricing is the same. 

Of course, things get a little fancier on the weekends, so showing up on the weekend will cost a little more. Weekend buffet prices are $36.99 per person. This includes Friday-Saturday breakfast, weekend brunch, Sunday brunch & breakfast during the weekend.
