The South Point Buffet, also called the Garden Buffet, offers a wide selection of food in a welcoming atmosphere at a very reasonable price, making it quite popular despite being off the Strip.

Here’s what you should know about the South Point Buffet, including pricing, ways to save, the menu, and more.

Prices

Pricing for the buffet ranges from $24.95 up to $52.95. 

Of course, the breakfast buffet is the least expensive, though it includes unlimited Bloody Marys, while Seafood Night on Fridays is the most expensive. 

Lunch is about $3 more than breakfast and, unfortunately, doesn’t include the unlimited bloody marys featured at breakfast.

The Prime Rib & Champagne Brunch and the Prime Rib Dinner are actually the same price at $33.95 per person. 

In our opinion, the Weekend Brunch is a better value than the Prime Rib Dinner because you still get the prime rib, but bottomless mimosas are also included.

When it comes to children, those ages 4 to 8 eat for half price, and those three years of age and under eat for free. 

A great way to save on the pricing is with a Club Card. 

Club members receive special pricing, which gives you $2-$4 off of the regular price per person. The membership is free to sign up for as well.

The Garden Buffet at South Point is one of the last buffets to still have separate mealtime menus for breakfast, lunch, brunch, and two types of dinner – Prime Rib Dinner and Seafood Night.

Breakfast

Bottomless Bloody Marys are a real hit for South Point’s breakfast buffet.

The breakfast buffet menu includes fluffy pancakes, baked breakfast pastries, corned beef hash, eggs benedict, French toast, fresh fruit, hash browns, carved ham, and hot off-the-iron fresh waffles. 

You’ll find all the standard American breakfast options like pancakes, french toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and hashbrowns.

Most budget buffets are criticized because there aren’t any healthy options, but South Point’s buffet tries to change that with its Healthy Breakfast Station.

It features only a few options and includes chicken sausage, egg whites, sauteed spinach, baked tomatoes, and mushrooms. It’s not much, but we give them credit for trying.

You also have to try the surprisingly good cooked-to-order cheese omelet on the breakfast buffet menu. 

Or, you can have them cook up your own combination of ingredients, like one with sauteed mushrooms and spinach. 

Don’t forget to have a free bloody mary or two at the breakfast buffet prior to a day out at the pool or walking around town! If you love a good bloody mary, this buffet is a great deal.

Lunch

South Point’s Garden Buffet is most well-known for its five live cooking stations serving an impressive selection of tasty dishes. 

The five live cooking stations include a Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, Chinese, and Seafood section.

The Mexican Station has chimichangas, fajitas, beans, Mexican bread, and make your own tacos and nachos.

The Asian station has a make-your-own Lo Mein, which is really good and made fresh in front of you.

You’ll also find plenty of selections for a world traveler, like Asian food such as fried rice, pad Thai, stir-fries, and other delights straight from the wok. 

A carving station features a wide array of premium meats during brunch, lunch, and dinner. It has pork sausage, chicken sausage, pork belly, roasted chicken, and ham.

Brunch

Join Garden Buffet on the weekend for their Prime Rib and Champagne brunch buffet menu to soak up the bottomless mimosas. You get the best of the breakfast and dinner buffet all in one meal. 

If you love bottomless mimosas, then this is the Brunch for you because you can’t beat the price for a Prime Rib buffet on a weekend paired with all-you-can-drink mimosas.

Dinner

The regular Prime Rib Dinner is one of the best times to go to the Garden Buffet.

The Prime Rib at the South Point Buffet is one of the best in Vegas! While the rest of the dishes can’t compare even remotely, the Prime Rib is the reason to go.

There’s a beautiful crust on the Prime Rib, its tender, and they will slice up whatever size cut you want and to whatever doneness you prefer.

You’ll also find other Prime Rib appetizers like a BBQ Prime Rib with Mac and Cheese on top.

Seafood Night

Seafood Night features a big selection of both hot and cold seafood options.

The Garden Buffet at South Point has made our list of the best Vegas seafood buffets.

A few of the seafood dishes on Seafood Night are crab legs, oysters, fried catfish, and fried shrimp, though peel-and-eat shrimp is available every night and during brunch, too.

Dessert

The entire dessert station is worth saving some room for. Between the hot bread pudding, French pastries, gelato bar, cakes, cookies, and pies, you’re in for a real treat.  And make sure you save room for the freshly made-to-order dessert tacos!

As we mentioned above, the buffet is located within the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa, which is just South of the Las Vegas Strip.  

Las Vegas locals like the Garden Buffet because the restaurant offers free and easy surface parking right out front, making it a breeze to get to.

The South Point Buffet doesn’t have the best food you can find in Vegas, but if you go on the specialty meals and look for the freshly made-to-order stations, you’ll find great food!

The variety is above average as well, so whether you want Mexican, Italian, Barbecue, Chinese, tender cuts of meat, seafood, or whatever your favorite is, you’ll satisfy your cravings at the Garden Buffet.
