Last Updated on March 22, 2023

If you smoke, you know it isn’t always easy to find a hotel that still offers smoking rooms, even in Las Vegas. MGM properties have mostly gone completely smoke-free with some exceptions for smoking in the casino. Other major hotels in Nevada have followed along, promoting clean, smoke-free air on their property.

To save you the trouble of finding the perfect smoking room in Vegas, we researched practically every hotel, well, at least the major ones, to compile a list of hotels that still offer smoking accommodations. Here is where you can find them, both on the Las Vegas Strip and off.

Can you smoke weed in a hotel room?

It is legal to smoke marijuana recreationally in Las Vegas, Nevada. Still, there are some very strict rules regarding its use. One of these rules is that you can only legally smoke marijuana in the confines of your home and not in a public space. Hotels and resorts are essentially considered public spaces.

Most hotels and casinos, even smoking hotels, have a very well-defined policy that prohibits the use of marijuana on the property. This includes areas where smoking may be allowed, including the casino floor and rooms that have been designated as smoker-friendly.

That’s the long answer. The short answer is that no, don’t expect to be able to indulge in a Las Vegas hotel room, at least not in the more reputable hotels in Las Vegas, NV.

Can you smoke on a balcony in a non-smoking room?

This completely depends on the hotel policy, so you’ll want to check with guest services before you light up. The Cosmopolitan is an example of a Las Vegas hotel that doesn’t offer smoking rooms but does allow guests to smoke on their balcony or terrace, as long as the door to the room or suite is closed.
