Smoking Rooms in Las Vegas: Hotels with Smoking Rooms

If you smoke, you know it isn’t always easy to find a hotel that still offers smoking rooms, even in Las Vegas. MGM properties have mostly gone completely smoke-free with some exceptions for smoking in the casino. Other major hotels in Nevada have followed along, promoting clean, smoke-free air on their property. 

To save you the trouble of finding the perfect smoking room in Vegas, we researched practically every hotel, well, at least the major ones, to compile a list of hotels that still offer smoking accommodations. Here is where you can find them, both on the Las Vegas Strip and off.

Caesars Palace

Caesars Palace is one of those iconic Las Vegas hotels. The majority of their rooms are non-smoking, but they do still have a good selection of smoking and smoking-optional suites. If you want a smoking room at Caesars Palace, expect to pay more for premium accommodations. 

Smoking rooms available at Caesars Palace include:

• Julius Premium Suite w/ 1 King (smoking optional)

Paris Las Vegas

Looking for a touch of romance in Las Vegas? The Paris Las Vegas is the closest thing to the real deal you’ll find in the United States. With a to-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower and decor that is distinctively French in flavor, there’s something irresistibly romantic that makes the Paris a favorite among Las Vegas hotels. 

While Paris Las Vegas used to offer smoking and non-smoking rooms throughout the resort, the options have been limited drastically in 2023. Currently, the only smoking room available is the St. Tropez Suite with a king bed, which starts at upwards of $1,000 per night. There are no standard guest rooms that allow smoking.

Cosmopolitan 

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has a pretty strict policy about not allowing smoking of any type in any of their guest rooms. So, why did they make it onto this list? Because they make an exception to help accommodate smokers with their non-smoking hotel rooms that feature a terrace.

With Cosmopolitan terrace rooms, guests can smoke on the terrace ONLY, as long as they use the provided ashtray and close the door behind them so that no cigarette smoke finds its way into the guest room. Considering you get to enjoy the view while outside, this isn’t such a bad thing.

Treasure Island Hotel & Casino 

If you’re in search of the best place to spend the night in Vegas that’s also friendly to smokers, Treasure Island is where you’ll find the exact room type that you’re looking for. Enjoy Cirque du Soleil, Marvel Avengers STATION, and then return to your relaxing oasis of a hotel room. 

Smoking room options at Treasure Island are subject to availability. All smoking rooms are located on the 36th floor.

Wynn/Encore

The Wynn Encore offers some hotel rooms in Las Vegas that feel like a retreat. Comfort, luxury, and style are all words you could use to describe the Wynn Encore hotel. They’re not very forthcoming on their website about which rooms in the hotel are smoker-friendly, but they do have smoking rooms available on certain hotel floors only. When booking your stay for the night, make sure to request a room that accommodates smoking. 

Limiting in-room smoking to certain floors of the resort is a great way to keep the rest of the resort rooms smoke-free and comfortable for non-smoking guests.

Strat 

The Strat has a commanding presence in the skyline of Las Vegas, NV, and the accommodations are equally impressive. With rooms that have been recently remodeled, the Strat makes for a great place to stay, whether you’re traveling on vacation or for business. Smoking rooms exist at the Strat, but you need to inquire about current options and availability at the front desk.

Plaza Hotel Casino Las Vegas 

Plaza is one of the best hotels in Downtown if you’re looking for non-stop fun. The casino has a great selection, there are 12 pickleball courts, and the sportsbook never disappoints. Most of this hotel is non-smoking, but they still have a few deluxe smoking rooms available by request.

Golden Nugget

• Rumors that a select few smoking rooms exist, but you need to contact the Golden Nugget directly for availability 

4 Queens

4 Queens is a historic hotel that is in no hurry to change its policies to match modern times, including their in-room smoking policies. In true old-Vegas fashion, smoking is allowed in more rooms than it isn’t! The only type of room without a smoking option is the North Tower Jacuzzi Suite. All other rooms are available in smoking or non-smoking areas of the hotel; you just have to specify when you book.

The D

The D Las Vegas is a lively hotel and casino located off Fremont Street. The hotel allows smoking in three out of its four room types, so it’s never hard to find a smoking room that’s free to reserve. Guests love the overall experience of staying here because it’s so close to the action in Downtown Las Vegas, but it can be a bit noisy. If you plan to stay up late anyways, this is a great spot to book a smoking room downtown.

El Cortez

El Cortez is home to the longest continuously running casino in Sin City, so it’s no surprise they keep this traditional with smoking guest rooms. The smoking rooms at El Cortez certainly aren’t the most modern or luxurious, but they are affordable! You can save more money to spend in the casino and comfortably relax while you smoke in your room.

The vast majority of the rooms at El Cortez do not allow smoking, which keeps the smell to a minimum for non-smoking guests.

• Pavillion 2 Queens 

Silverton Hotel & Casino 

Silverton Hotel & Casino used to be one of the most smoke-friendly hotels in Las Vegas, but that could be changing in 2023. As of June 2023, the hotel is closed and undergoing major renovations. It’s unknown if smoking rooms will reopen when the resort does or if all rooms will be non-smoking.

When the hotel was open before renovations began, they allowed smoking in two types of rooms.

• Resort Rooms
• Luxury Suite 

Lexi Hotel

Lexi Hotel is a small boutique hotel located off the Strip. While Lexi does not offer any rooms that allow cigarette smoking, they do offer some marijuana-friendly rooms! The 4th floor of this 64-room hotel is a designated 420-friendly space with state-of-the-art air filtration systems in every room. Inquire about reserving a smoke-friendly room when you book.

Main Street Station 

Main Street Station is guaranteed to offer a unique guest experience; whether that ends up being a good or bad experience depends on what you’re looking for. Compared to other Las Vegas hotels, Main Street Station has an undeniable no-frills vibe. There are some cool features, like a real piece of the Berlin Wall on display and award-winning restaurants, but their air filtration system could be improved.

While guests can choose a smoking or non-smoking room, it’s not unusual for some of the smoke to make its way into a non-smoking room.

Palace Station 

Palace Station, located just off Fremont Street, is one of the few hotels that still allows smoking in guest rooms. They have smoking and non-smoking rooms, but it’s easy to filter your search before booking. This is a hotel that has had some less-than-stellar reviews from non-smokers who stay, noting a lingering smell of smoke throughout the resort, so that’s definitely something to keep in mind.

• Premier View King
• Premier View 2 Queens 

Although it might seem like the entire world has gone smoke-free, there are still hotels in Las Vegas, Nevada, that welcome smokers into their hotels and casinos. The number of hotels and resorts in Vegas is massive, and it’s nearly impossible to cover them all. But if you’re looking for a great, smoke-friendly place to stay in Sin City, these hotels are right on the money.
