The Cafe Wynn: Caffe Al Teatro

You may know Caffè Al Teatro as The Cafe at Wynn Las Vegas, and that is because, with the recent renovation, it took on a new name with its new look. It is now inspired by the Italian tradition of Commedia dell’arte, a historical genre of theater. 

The cafe features Venetian chandeliers, a ceiling mural, lacquered moldings, reverse-painted mirror panels, and diamond-patterned stone mosaic floors. It has relaxed seating and rich finishings to really transport you to Europe while you sip and dine.

The menu is the perfect combination of quick eats, small plates, coffee, and delectable treats. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, late night, and everything in between. 

Beverages

When it comes to beverages, there is no shortage of options at the cafe. You can get blended teas, including Spiced Chai Lattes, Jasmine Matcha Lattes, or just a simple cuppa hot tea. Mighty Leaf organic iced black tea and iced green tea are perfect when in the Vegas sun, too. 

The cafe also serves La Colombe Cold Brew, which is a pressed Brazilian espresso that is bold and has notes of cocoa. Their standard coffee is also La Colombe but is the Monaco Dark Roast which has flavors of caramel apple, malt, and currant.

Looking for a delicious espresso pick-me-up in the morning? The Caffe Latte, Cappuccino, or Americano made with Nizza medium roast espresso containing notes of nuts, brownie, and milk chocolate will do the trick.

Breakfast

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Caffè Al Teatro is a great place to grab an early bite to eat before exploring the Las Vegas Strip. 

Try the Smoked Salmon Everything Bagel with cucumber and cream cheese or the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Khachapuri, which is an East European style cheese bread. The Khachapuri has four kinds of cheese, red onion, spinach, parsley, and of course, eggs and bacon. It’s important to note that breakfast is only available until 11:30 a.m. 

All-day Dining

After breakfast ends at 11:30 a.m., the all-day dining menu begins. Our favorite is the Grilled Cheese with four types of cheese and thick-cut sourdough bread. It is wonderful with their tomato soup or brisket chili. 

The Tomato, Mozzarella, and Pesto Khachapuri is one of the main attractions as well, featuring the same cheese bread from breakfast with fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, and fresh pesto. There are several other sandwiches to choose from, too, each with its own perfect flavor combinations. 

Grab & Go

The small plates offered in the Caffè Al Teatro grab-and-go section are convenient for a quick bite. Get egg, chicken, or tuna salads on homemade bread, parfaits, fruit cups, and more. Guests of both hotels love being able to eat on the go with this restaurant.  

Desserts & Sweet Treats

Caffè Al Teatro was designed as a way to showcase the talented pastry chefs, bakers, and cake artists at the Wynn and Encore hotels. As you can imagine, that means there are fantastic sweet treats. 

For a dessert with your coffee, try the Chocolate Chip Pretzel & Toffee Cookie, Berry Crostata, Raspberry Puff, or one of their many flavors of cake and gelato. 

Vegans and vegetarians rejoice! Caffè Al Teatro is one of the many restaurants at Wynn Las Vegas that has vegan and vegetarian selections on its menu. 

They even have a vegan grilled cheese featuring all plant-based cheeses, Earth Balance butter, and sourdough bread. The Vegan Tropical Tapioca with mango, coconut, passion fruit, and raspberry-flavored tapioca accompanied by fresh diced fruit is a delicious, lighter option. 

The Rocky Road cookie is vegan and gluten-free for those who want to take part in the cafe desserts. 

In the new renovation, Caffè Al Teatro began featuring a rotating selection of hand-crafted cocktails from the imagination of Wynn Las Vegas’s head mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini. 

The cafe also now offers local craft beers, wine, and Mimosa kits with house-made orange juice. After all, you can’t have brunch without a mimosa! 

The price of Caffè Al Teatro is about average for quick eateries in Las Vegas. Though a review or two might state, the cafe is overpriced, average Las Vegas prices are starkly different than many other geographical areas. 

Coffees average around $5-$7, while the food offerings range from under $10 to $20, depending on what you order. 

Caffè Al Teatro at the Wynn Las Vegas has mostly good reviews; however, some reviews report that the coffees are made inconsistently and that guests aren’t fans of the new business renovations as it removed some of the tables and closed off the cafe more from the casino, so it feels smaller. 

The positive reviews rave about the service and the menu, especially when it comes to the pastries. 

No reservations are required as it is a grab-and-go restaurant with a relaxed setting. There is a small area to sit with tables, though it is on a first-come, first-serve basis. If there isn’t anywhere to lounge or a long line, you can use the online ordering and express pick-up window to get takeout.

Like all of the restaurants on the Wynn and Encore Las Vegas property, Caffè Al Teatro has a dress code. The dress code at the cafe is more flexible than restaurants, only requiring resort casual. Resort casual means no swimwear or pajamas.

Caffè Al Teatro is open 24 hours, seven days a week, so you can always get quick eats and a coffee if you need it. Go ahead and indulge in the midnight snack on your way back to your hotel room!
