Las Vegas is a city known for its bright lights and vibrant energy. This all came to a halt this past March when, per state orders, the Las Vegas Strip was closed down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Recently, after thanking Nevadans for doing an incredible job of flattening the curve, Las Vegas Governor, Steve Sisolak, has officially announced the Las Vegas reopening after 78 long days.
This means that while some of your favorite Vegas destinations will be reopening, not all of them will open their doors just yet. It also means that you can expect some changes in your experience as safety measures and protocols are put in place to protect both guests and staff at your favorite Vegas destinations.
Here’s a rundown of what is open in Las Vegas, and what to expect when you visit.

Hotels & Casinos Reopening
Vegas and casino are words that are practically synonymous with each other, and Las Vegas casinos reopening is a huge event that many have been waiting for. It’s important to note that not all casinos will be opening on the first day of Phase 2, & the ones that are reopening immediately already have plans in place to protect your health and safety.
While some safety measures are mandated under Phase 2 of the reopening plan, some casinos have taken it a step further by implementing their own safety plans that include additional measures.

Attractions Open
To say that casinos are the only thing at the heart of Vegas would be a huge disservice to all the other incredible attractions that draw so many visitors each year. Las Vegas is filled with amazing sights to behold and so many ways to kick back, relax, and live the good life.
If you’re planning on visiting Vegas in the coming weeks, you’ll want to keep an eye on which popular attractions and destinations are open, along with any special guidelines that might be in place for enjoying your time while visiting.
Generally speaking, expect slightly different protocols between indoor and outdoor spaces. Also, visitors should anticipate following current safe guidelines as Nevada and the city of Las Vegas work through each stage of reopening.
If you’re looking forward to visiting favorite destinations, such as the Bellagio Fountains or lounging at resort pools, here’s a current list of open dates for popular attractions.

Welcome Back to Las Vegas
After much anticipation, it is officially time for us to see Las Vegas reopen. It has been through a sustained community effort that Vegas casinos and attractions have reached this important milestone, and your continued efforts ensure we’ll see even more of this city come to life in the coming weeks and months.
Get ready to make plans and create new memories as Las Vegas opens its doors to you.
When will the Bellagio buffet open. Will it be open in 2021.
We don’t know – at this moment Bellagio has not announced any reopening date.
will any strip buffets be open by mid january 2021?
No, unfortunately the last remaining open buffet on the Strip, the Wicked Spoon in Cosmopolitan, is closing January 10, 2021 🙁
Just how safe will it be when all of Las Vegas reopen, and how will the casino’s deal with social distancing when gambling at all table games.
