The Plaza Hotel Las Vegas is one of the original resorts in downtown Las Vegas, and they have perfectly nailed the balance between classic and modern Las Vegas design. They also have a great balance of entertainment, dining, gaming, amenities, and restful rooms.

All of the rooms at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas come with a few standard property amenities. These include an in-room safe, free wifi, and air conditioning, among others. Additionally, extra beds (rollaway beds) for children are available for any room for an additional charge.

Luxe Room

Plaza Luxe Room

The Luxe Rooms are the brand new standard rooms at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. They are 325 square feet and come in two configurations– one king bed or two queen beds. Overall, it’s relaxing and minimalist in design, with all of the amenities you expect, like pillowtop mattresses, a flat-screen TV, USB ports, and luxury bedding. Luxe options are also non-smoking only.

Deluxe Room

Plaza Deluxe Room

The Deluxe Rooms are the original standard rooms, though they have updated them a bit to be clean and modern. They have similar amenities to the Luxe Room, though it’s not as luxurious. For instance, the beds and bedding are a step below the Luxe Room. You can get the Deluxe Room with one king bed or two queens, and you also have the choice between smoking or non-smoking.

Pool Patio Room

Plaza Pool Patio Room

If you want outdoor space, you should definitely consider the Pool Patio Room. It is a unique space featuring a private covered patio that leads right to the pool. The interior of the rooms is recently renovated, modeled similarly to the Luxe Rooms with the same amenities.

Junior Studio

Plaza Junior Studio

The Junior Studio rooms are 400 square feet, which gives you a little more room to spread out. The Junior Studio is only available in non-smoking, king-bed configurations; however, it features luxury bedding, a flat-screen TV, a mini fridge, and more. These rooms are perfect for those who want some space but don’t want to shell out for a suite.

Suites

Mini Suite

Mini Suite

The Mini Suite is the entry-level option when it comes to the suites at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. They are essentially a Junior Studio with a few extras. For one, it has about 100 extra square feet. It also has a wet bar! It is only available with one king bed.

One Bedroom Suite

Plaza One Bedroom Suite

The One Bedroom Suite is the next step up and provides far more flexibility and options. First off, it is available in two configurations, either with one bed or two beds. It also has 650 square feet of space, which includes a dedicated living room area, an additional half bath, a wet bar, and multiple flat-screen TVs.

Luxe Room Suites

Plaza Luxe Room Suites

The Luxe Room Suites, like the other Luxe level rooms, are brand new with all of the finest, luxurious finishings. The Luxe Room Suites are still one bedroom and are only available with one king bed, but they are bigger than the One Bedroom Suite, coming in at 725 square feet.

Two Bedroom Suite

Plaza Penthouse Suite

The Penthouse Suite is the pinnacle of all the rooms at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. As you might imagine, the Penthouse Suite is on the top floor of the Plaza, so it has sweeping, stunning views of the Las Vegas skyline.

It is a loft-style suite with a total of about 945 square feet. Those staying in a Penthouse Suite will get a spa-like bathroom adorned with marble, a full bar with a refrigerator, a dining area, a living area, and so much more.

Dining

Dining options at the Plaza Hotel & Casino

There is a decent variety of dining options at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, so there’s usually something for everyone to check out.

Casual Restaurants

  • Pop Up Pizza: Pop Up Pizza is serving up New York-style pizza with a modern, Las Vegas twist. Besides the intimate setting, you’ll also get delicious made-from-scratch pizza. The toppings are fresh, the sauce is homemade, and the pizza dough is Pop Up Pizza’s secret recipe.
  • Hash House A Go Go: Hash House A Go Go is essentially the Las Vegas restaurant version of a classic dinner. They combine farm-fresh ingredients and giant portions for an experience loved by locals and tourists alike.
  • Aloha Hawaiian Grill: Aloha Hawaiian Grill is one of the food options in the food court area at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. As you might expect based on the name, Aloha Hawaiian Grill offers all of your Hawaiian favorites.
  • Fresh Mexican Grill: Fresh Mexican Grill is another food court option at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. There are all of your classic Mexican dishes, most of which you get to pick your toppings and meat for. We love the Loaded Nachos and Street Tacos with carne asada. Fresh Mexican Grill is open daily for lunch and dinner.

Fine Dining Restaurants

  • Oscar’s Steakhouse: This restaurant is named after a notorious Las Vegas mayor, Oscar Goodman, who was also a mob attorney. Oscar’s Steakhouse is truly a classic Las Vegas steakhouse. The main dining room is located in the infamous Las Vegas glass dome. It has the sultry atmosphere you expect from a steakhouse, but there’s also the added bonus of some amazing memorabilia adorning the walls.

Quick Bites

  • Pinkbox Doughnuts
  • Coffee Bar
  • Subway
  • McDonald’s

Bars & Nightlife

Carousel Bar

The Carousel Bar is a fun nightlife hotspot that is unlike any other. It’s actually an outdoor bar under the porte-cochère within direct eyesight of the antics of the Fremont Street Experience. It also looks like a life-size carousel, including horses that move up and down, iconic lights, and other fun Vegas-themed animations like a spinning martini glass.

Omaha Bar

The Omaha Bar is on the casino floor in the heart of all the action. It’s the perfect place to take advantage of one of their drink specials, play a few games, and get right back to your winning streak.

The Sand Dollar Downtown

The Sand Dollar Downtown is a new addition to the Plaza Hotel & Casino, and we love it already. It’s a music venue with live music every night featuring local and touring acts alike. In addition to some great tunes, you’ll also enjoy craft cocktails, billiards, and pizza.

The Sand Dollar Downtown is a second location to the original, which has been a go-to for blues in Las Vegas for years. This second location has stayed true to its roots and gives an extra 4,000 square feet of venue space.

Sportsbook Bar

The Sportsbook Bar is on the casino floor right near the William Hill Sportsbook. It is a full-service lounge that allows you to watch your favorite sports games and the action in the casino while enjoying your favorite cocktail.

Core Arena

Pickleball

The Plaza Hotel & Casino has jumped on the pickleball bandwagon! They have 12 permanent pickleball courts plus a Championship Court that can be temporarily converted into 4 pickleball tournament courts. The pickleball courts are open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and are located in the pool complex.

Pool

The pool at the Plaza Hotel & Casino is both classic and modern, with an effortlessly cool vibe. With a 7,000-square-foot pool deck, a rooftop view, a poolside bar, a food truck, a hot tub, and a stage/event space, the pool complex at the Plaza has got it going on! It is also worth noting that the pool is heated, towel service is provided, and it is only open to registered hotel guests.

Daybeds & Cabana Rentals

Of course, you can also rent daybeds and private cabanas to take the relaxation and fun up a notch.

The daybeds hold up to 4 people and include towels, an umbrella, cocktail service, and 4 bottled waters. Pricing for the daybeds starts at $75 for a weekday, which is divided into a $50 food and beverage minimum and a $25 rental fee. On weekends, daybeds will cost a total of $125, and it goes up to $200 during special events and holidays.

When it comes to cabanas, you’ll pay a bit more, but you’ll also get much more, too. The cabanas can host up to 6 people and come completely furnished with covered seating, two lounge chairs, a flat-screen TV, a digital safe, and a refrigerator. Each cabana rental also comes with 6 water bottles, cocktail service, and towels. The cabanas start at $125 for a weekday, which, like the daybeds, is split into a food and beverage minimum and a rental fee.

Hours & Reservations

The pool complex is open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Though the regular chairs are first come, first serve, you do have to book and reserve the daybeds and cabanas. You can book a daybed or a cabana online here.

Spa & Fitness Center

Unfortunately, the Plaza Hotel & Casino doesn’t have a spa on the property, though Neko Massage Studio, which is a few blocks away, does a great job.

Fitness Center

The fitness center at the Plaza Hotel & Casino really shines. Unlike some hotels where the gym is an afterthought that doesn’t get much attention, the Plaza gym definitely wasn’t. It has a fun mural on the wall and, of course, everything you need to continue your fitness goals during your stay.

Another thing that sets their gym apart is that they have certified trainers available and group fitness classes. The gym at the Plaza Hotel is located right off of the lobby, is complimentary for hotel guests, and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
