The menu at Holsteins offers what we would call really good food. The menu isn’t huge, but they do go over the top with the dishes they offer. There’s a wide range of burgers and milkshakes and also a good selection of delicious appetizers. 

Shareables

Starting off the menu is a selection of traditional American snacks with flavorful twists. There are the classics, like the buffalo wings in buffalo sauce, but there’s also this amazing buffalo chicken dip, which we’ve been craving since we left. 

Another favorite on the appetizer menu is the Philly egg rolls with shaved ribeye and the firecracker chicken meatballs. 

While this portion of the menu is for sharing, we see no harm in ordering one or two of these appetizer plates as an entree to enjoy selfishly on your own. 

The Best Burgers

Once you move past the menu of shareable options, you’ll find where the magic really happens with the deliciously crafted burgers. There’s a wide selection of burgers to choose from, whether your tastes are refined and classic or over the top. Each burger is made with a specialty prime beef blend. 

Here is just a sample of the burgers on the menu for lunch and dinner. 

• The Classic – The simplest of burger dishes, but don’t let that fool you – this is solid. Lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and udder sauce dress this up. 
• Gold Standard – The Gold Standard is one of the most popular burger plates at Holsteins. It features aged goat cheddar cheese, smoked bacon, tomato confit, baby arugula, and chive aioli. 
• Forager – The Forager is a prime beef patty blended with mushrooms, mixed greens, tomato confit, fried egg, cream sauce, and marmalade onions. 
• Billionaire – It should be no surprise that this is the most popular burger on the menu. If you thought the Gold Standard sounded rich, try this one with foie gras & prime beef blend, provolone cheese, onion marmalade, baby arugula, and port reduction with truffle aioli. 

The Signature Bam-Boozled Shakes

You can’t talk about Holsteins in Las Vegas without mentioning their signature Bam-Boozled shakes. These are funky and super creative riffs on traditional milkshakes. As a fair warning, Holsteins shakes are loaded, not just with an insane amount of toppings and add-ins, but also with lots of booze – hence the name. 

Your milkshake might look like a fun dessert, but it is NOT for kids! Well, except for those of us over the age of 21 who are actually kids at heart. 

A favorite seems to be the Cookies & Cream milkshake with chocolate chip cookies and Oreo crumbs, chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, dark and white chocolate crunchies, and vanilla frosting! So, what’s the booze in this beast? Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka. 

That gives you just a hint as to what these milkshakes are like. There’s an entire menu of them, and they’re all insane. These are definitely more like desserts than a milkshake you might sip on while chowing down on your burger. 

For the Kids

Holsteins hasn’t left the kids out of the picture. They offer a simple kids’ menu with options that your pickiest eater will enjoy. Young ones can choose from mac & cheese, beef sliders, grilled cheese, or chicken tenders. 

All kids’ meals come with french fries and vanilla ice cream. 

What would a burger restaurant at the Cosmopolitan Hotel be if they didn’t offer a great drink menu to go with the amazing food? In addition to a full bar and draft beers, Holsteins Restaurant offers some delicious signature craft cocktails.

The Grilled Mezcal Margarita is top-notch, with mezcal, thyme honey syrup, smoked lemon juice, and lime juice. We also really enjoy the Southern Slang, with botanical gin, Luxardo cherry, pineapple juice, and lime juice. 

So, what do the reviews say about Holsteins at Cosmopolitan? Overall, they’re good, especially for a restaurant that specializes in burgers. 

Most of the reviews we’ve read give high praise for fast, attentive, and helpful service, noting how they had everything they needed to enjoy a delicious meal at their table. 

Of course, there are rave reviews about the food, too – including the shakes. The vanilla frosting on the shakes seems to be a big hit, although we were a bit skeptical at first because it seemed a bit over the top. 

However, no place is perfect, and that includes Holsteins. There are a few negative reviews floating around out there, but honestly, they feel more like random lackluster experiences than a general trend for the restaurant. 

A few details that were brought up in the less-than-stellar reviews include shakes that were too liquidy, burgers that lacked flavor and were overpriced, and slow service. 

Holsteins at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has a casual dress code. Just make sure that you’re fully dressed – no swimwear, ultra-revealing clothes, pajamas, and the sort. Otherwise, if you’d wear it to walk around the Cosmopolitan, you’re probably fine to wear it to Holsteins. 

Whether it’s drinks, shakes, or plates of delicious food you’re after, you can find it at Holsteins daily from 11 am until 10 pm.

Cosmopolitan offers both self-parking and valet parking for all guests.
