The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has been a long-standing fixture just about a block off the Las Vegas Strip for decades – although it was formerly known as the International Hotel and the Las Vegas Hilton. Today Westgate Resorts stands as a modern Las Vegas Hotel with great rooms and amenities and a prime location.

As recent guests, we’ve reviewed Westgate. Here are our thoughts, along with all the details you need to know for planning your stay.
Westgate Las Vegas Rooms
Signature Rooms

The Signature Rooms are the standard room at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort. They measure 400 sq ft, which is small but not the smallest standard room that we’ve seen. However, the space is designed well, and the Signature Rooms come with an option of a single king bed or two queen beds. If you choose the king bed option, the room also includes a leather sofa with a pull-out bed.
It’s important to note that every room at Westgate is a non-smoking room, so don’t plan on lighting up here. Room amenities include heating & air conditioning (we honestly don’t know why hotels still list this as an amenity – it really should just be a given), blackout curtains, mini-refrigerators, a hair dryer, an in-room safe, an alarm clock, and free wifi.
Also, some of the Signature Rooms come with a beautiful view of the golf course at the Las Vegas Country Club, which is adjacent to Westgate Las Vegas.
Luxe Rooms

Luxe Rooms at Westgate also measure 400 sq ft and come with the same room amenities as the Signature Rooms. The main difference between the two is that the Luxe Rooms include a work desk and have a slightly more elevated feel to them. The Luxe Rooms are also available in a single king or double queen option.
Premier Rooms

The Premier Rooms at Westgate Las Vegas measure 400 sq ft and feature modern decor and elevated touches of class. The Premier Rooms are done in shades of blue and gray for a very relaxed feel, and there’s a decent-sized work desk space, making these rooms perfect for business travelers – the comfortable beds are also most welcome after a long flight.
Westgate Las Vegas Suites & Villas
Studio Suite

We’re not going to lie. We’re impressed with how many amenities Westgate Las Vegas managed to include in this 400 sq ft Studio Suite.
The Studio Suite features a luxurious king bed, a wet bar with a mini-refrigerator, microwave, cabinets, seating, a work desk area, additional seating, and a decently spacious bathroom with a rain shower. This is a great small suite for couples or singles who plan on doing some very light entertaining.
Family Suite

The Family Suite at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino offers something that we don’t often see in Las Vegas hotels, and that’s a suite that’s truly designed with a family in mind. The suite sleeps up to eight, but what we like is that this isn’t one of those boring, stuffy suites where you’re worrying your kids might accidentally break something.
This suite features bunk beds, with a trundle so the bunks actually sleep three, games for the kids, and a fun environment that they’ll immediately feel comfortable in.
The Family Suite measures 700 sq ft and offers everything you need for a fun family vacation.
Four-Bedroom Presidential Suite

If you’re traveling to Las Vegas with a large group of friends, or you’re a family that is a little too big for the Family Suite, the Presidential Suite at Westgate Las Vegas offers more than ample room. The Presidential Suite measures 2500 sq ft and sleeps up to twelve.
With four bedrooms, the Presidential Suite is equipped with four king beds, two queen-size sofa sleepers, a nicely equipped kitchen, a dining area, a living area, and bathrooms with a deep, jetted hot tub. There is plenty of room to work or play in the Westgate Presidential Suites.
Sky Villas

The Sky Villas at Westgate Las Vegas Resort are offered with either one or two bedrooms. The Villas are decorated in a luxe black and gold color scheme and measure between 900 sq ft and 1300 sq ft, depending on which you choose. Both villas sleep four people, just with different configurations. We love the extra spacious bathrooms with spa tubs, the generous living area, and the views that showcase either the Las Vegas Strip or the Las Vegas Country Club.
Dining
Edge Steakhouse

Edge Steakhouse is a fine-dining experience at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort. It seems like every major resort on the Las Vegas Strip offers a steakhouse, and while Westgate isn’t exactly on the Strip, we think Edge Steakhouse is right on par with all of the other big names.
Enjoy a starter or roasted bone marrow or spicy shrimp, then move on to domestic Wagyu or prime dry-aged steak. For the full experience, add a prix fixe menu to any steak. There is also a six-course tasting menu, but this requires full table participation.
Edge Steakhouse at Westgate Las Vegas is closed Sunday & Monday but is open every other night of the week for dinner service.
Benihana

World-famous Benihana is one of the most popular restaurants at Westgate Resorts. Benihana offers Japanese-style cuisine with a twist. That twist is that each dish is prepared exhibition-style, right in front of your eyes.
In addition to the fun performance of watching your food be prepared, there’s no denying that each dish is delicious. There are hibachi menu items, but also sushi, sashimi, noodle bowls, and more. Benihana is just a really fun, lively place to enjoy a wonderful meal.
Benihana is closed on Tuesday but is open every other night of the week for dinner service.
Fresco Italiano

One thing we like about the restaurant scene at Westgate Las Vegas Resort is that they have done a good job of having all of the culinary bases covered. There are American, Japanese, Mexican, and Asian cuisines. They also have Italian cuisine covered with Fresco Italiano.
This is true comfort food-style Italian cuisine but created with elevated touches. The Frutti di Mare is delicious, as are the pizza selections. For a more formal experience, there’s a chef’s menu with three courses and a wine pairing. The chef’s menu is only $46 per person, which is a great deal for a complete meal in Las Vegas.
Fresco Italiano is open every night of the week for dinner service.
Cordovano Joe’s Pizza

Cordovano Joe’s Pizza is located inside the Sportsbook at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The pizzas are baked in a 600-degree stone hearth oven, and the result is a pie with the most amazing crust. As far as menu items go, this place is pretty basic. It’s mostly just pizza with your choice of classic toppings.
Cordovano Joe’s Pizza is open every day of the week for lunch and dinner.
Draft Sports Bar & Grill Express

Drafts Sports Bar & Grill is also located inside the Sportsbook at Westgate Las Vegas Resort. Instead of pizza Drafts Sports serves up classic American bar food fare. This is where you can sink your teeth into a juicy burger and enjoy a tall cold beer while watching the big game.
Drafts Sports Bar & Grill Express is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Sid’s Cafe

There’s nothing pretentious about Sid’s Café. What you can expect is just delicious, casual food that’s perfectly prepared. This is also a family-friendly spot with a menu that even picky eaters will enjoy. Currently, Sid’s Cafe is closed for remodeling, but we’re definitely looking forward to trying them out when they reopen.
Nachos Tacos Authentic Mexican

If you’re at the sportsbook and suddenly find you have a hankering for some tasty Mexican-inspired eats, Nachos, Tacos Authentic Mexican restaurant is your go-to. Here you’ll find all the classics – including some fabulous nachos (you won’t want to share).
Nachos Tacos Authentic Mexican is open daily for lunch and dinner.
Silk Road Asian Bistro

Silk Road Asian Bistro is a delicious fusion of Asian cuisines. The menu includes dishes such as Pho, Japanese Ramen, and flavorful rice dishes. We enjoy the warm, inviting atmosphere and can’t resist ordering several appetizers to share with the table.
Silk Road Asian Bistro is open Tuesday (lunch & Dinner), Friday (dinner), and Saturday (dinner).
Rikki Tiki Sushi

Rikki Tiki Sushi is an elegant but casual place to enjoy the freshest sushi at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Watch the rolls be made, and witness the gentle artistry before devouring. The ambiance, with beautiful gardens and cascading waterfall, is as gorgeous as the sushi on your plate.
Rikki Tiki Sushi is closed on Tuesdays but is open every other day of the week for dinner service.
Fortuna

Fortuna is the Westgate Resorts version of a 24-hour cafe. If you need a coffee to keep you going at 3 am or absolutely need a breakfast pastry in the middle of the day, you can always find it here.
Fresh Buffet

The Las Vegas hotel buffet scene is almost as much of a part of the identity of Sin City as the casinos, and many of the major hotels have their own – especially the Strip Resorts. If you’ve visited enough of them, you realize they can range from blah to amazing. The Fresh Buffet at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino falls somewhere in between.
The Fresh Buffet is definitely not the fanciest buffet we’ve ever been to, but it’s also not the worst. It’s a solid option with good food — there’s just not a ton of variety or the more exotic dishes that you might find on some of the larger buffets. We also think it’s a good family-friendly buffet, with many dishes that kids will enjoy.
Currently, the Fresh Buffet is open daily, but only for breakfast and lunch. The hours are 7 am – 2 pm.
Bars & Nightlife

International Bar – Located off of the main lobby, International Bar is a great place for travelers to settle in for a cocktail after a long flight, socialize, and hang out before heading to the casino or for a night out on the town.
Superbook Bar – Enjoy your favorite cocktail while watching the big game or wagering on the next race.
Pool Bar & Grill – Casual poolside dining and cocktails, with creations that are perfect for enjoying from the shade of a daybed at the Westgate pool.
Shows & Entertainment
The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has been the home of iconic performers for decades (even back when the property was named the International Hotel). The stage of the International Theater has seen the likes of such legendary entertainment as Barbra Streisand, Liberace, the recently departed Tina Turner, Wayne Newton – and we can’t forget about the King – Elvis Presley.
With such an impressive history, Westgate Las Vegas strives to maintain its reputation with performances by some of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry. You can always check the current calendar of events to see who is on stage at the International Theater, but the resident shows are always worth checking out.
Resident Acts & Performances
Barry Manilow

Once upon a time, Elvis was king of the stage in Las Vegas. It takes an iconic name to replace such a presence, but it’s safe to say that Barry Manilow is a close second. He’s had fifty top 40 hits in his career, which has spanned decades. You can see him on stage at Westgate Las Vegas throughout 2023, and the residency was just extended through December 2024!
Frankie Valli

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons is a performance you don’t want to miss if you love the classics from an era gone by. Plan on a night of top-notch entertainment, and also plan on singing along. It’s ok if you can’t carry a tune – with the energy in the room, nobody will care!
Westgate Comedy Cabaret

Tickle your funny bone and get yourself tickets to Westgate Comedy Cabaret. There are always great laughs to be had and some of the funniest comedies in Las Vegas on the stage. The Westgate Comedy Cabaret offers performances every evening from Thursday – Sunday.
The Magic of Jen Kramer

For some truly mesmerizing entertainment, plan to spend a night in the audience of the Magic of Jen Kramer. Jen Kramer has earned the prestigious accolade of being named Female Magician of the Year, and she has been featured on Masters of Illusions.
Soul of Motown

There’s nothing like the smooth sounds of Motown, and we will never pass up a chance to listen to some of the greatest hits. The award-winning performance is a tribute to Motown music through the decades.
Pool

One of the best property amenities at any of the Las Vegas hotels is the pool. Some hotels in Las Vegas have massive pool complexes with four or more pools, lazy rivers, pool parties – you name it. The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino offers something a little different – a simple, nice pool complex that’s not super crowded or crazy, has a fun energy and is family-friendly.
The Westgate Las Vegas offers a single pool located in the center of the property. It’s a large, spacious pool with plenty of room to swim or play without being crowded in. This is especially nice for families with kids who want to splash and play but also want to respect the space of other guests. It can get crowded at peak times and on the weekends, but on most days, there’s plenty of room to relax and play.
The pool areas are well-known for being immaculately kept up. Where the Westgate pales in size in comparison to some of the other pools at Las Vegas hotels, they make up for it with how well-manicured and maintained the pool area is. There are plenty of lounge chairs for guests, and there are also private cabanas that can be rented for an additional fee.
Pool hours are 9 am – 6 pm daily,
Cabanas & Daybeds

There’s nothing wrong with spending your pool time in one of the poolside lounges, but they don’t offer much shade from the sun, and if you’re spending the entire day at the pool, you might want a space that feels a little more private – and comfortable. For this, Westgate offers both cabana and daybed rentals.
Daybeds are available for 1-2 people and include bottled water and towels, plus cocktail service. The price for a full-day rental is $75 but may be more on peak days.
Cabanas offers enough room for up to ten guests and feature bottled water, a fruit tray, mini-fridges, a safe for your valuables, a television, towels, and a cocktail service. The price for a full-day cabana rental starts at $175.
Menu
The dining options at the Westgate Las Pool are one of the high points. With a poolside bar, there is easy access to refreshing drinks, cocktails, and casual food to satisfy your snack cravings or for a light meal.
For snacks, you can choose a fruit plate, hummus, chips & salsa, fries, or edamame – all things that can be enjoyed while casually lounging around. More substantial offerings include sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and salads. If you have kids in tow, you can order a classic Dow Whip for them and then an adult version with Malibu Rum for yourself. We’ve found that the prices are fairly reasonable, too.
Tennis Courts

The Westgate Las Vegas is one of the few hotels near the Strip where you can play tennis! There are six tennis courts at the facility, along with a pro shop. Beginner and intermediate tennis lessons are also available.
Spa & Fitness Center

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is home to Serenity Spa – the place where you can relax and let the stress melt away during your stay (although you don’t need to be staying at Westgate Las Vegas to enjoy spa services).
This is a full-service spa that offers a complete menu of services for pampering and relaxation. Massages include aromatherapy, a Himalayan salt stone massage (heavenly!), expectant mother massages, foot massages, and custom massages with therapies and techniques that are targeted to your specific needs. Couples massages and massage enhancements are also available.

There’s also a menu of body treatments and skin care. If you really want to pamper yourself or give the gift of relaxation to someone you care for, we highly recommend the Serenity Spa Signature Treatment. There just aren’t words to describe how luxurious and relaxed you’ll feel after this.
Additional spa amenities include a sauna, steam room, and whirlpools. Plus, there’s a salon on-site, so you can have your hair, makeup, and nails done before a big night out in Las Vegas.
Guests at the spa must be at least 18 years of age or older to enjoy spa services. Guests who are younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult when receiving youth nail or other salon services.
Weddings

Did you fly into Las Vegas with romance on your mind? Maybe you decided to get away and escape for a weekend Las Vegas wedding or decided to spur of the moment you want to say I do. Either way, Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has you covered with their Chapel of Crystals wedding chapel.
The Westgate Las Vegas wedding chapel isn’t super fancy. This is not the top choice if you want a large, beautiful wedding. For an occasion like that, you’d be better off planning your big day at Caesars Palace, the Bellagio, or one of the other romantic resorts on the Las Vegas Strip.
What Westgate Las Vegas does offer is a nice, quaint chapel on the property and several very affordable wedding packages. The facilities are perfect for a small, intimate ceremony, and they offer gown & tux rentals, plus florals and salon services for the ceremony.
You can choose to have a traditional or outdoor venue wedding, or you can go for one of the themed wedding packages that just ooze Vegas – like having Elvis Presley at your wedding or Prince or a Mob-style wedding. All of which are very fun and can capture your lighthearted personality perfectly. Reviews for Westgate Las Vegas weddings speak highly of the experience – as long as you’re not expecting anything too fancy.
Then when the ceremony is over, you can treat yourself to a honeymoon at the resort and maybe a couples spa day followed by a romantic dinner.
Casino

The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino features a high-energy casino with a casino floor that spans more than 95,000 sq ft. There are poker, table games, and slot machines – all of your casino gaming favorites, but the Westgate Las Vegas’s real claim to fame is the sportsbook.
Sportsbook

Westgate Las Vegas Resort is home to the world’s largest race and sportsbook. The SuperBook is 30,000 sq ft and offers more than 350 seats. If you’ve ever been packed, elbow-to-elbow, in a busy sportsbook on a big game or race day, then you understand the awesomeness of the SuperBook being so spacious.
Hotel Policies
Check-In & Check-Out Times
Check-in time at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino is 3 pm. The standard check-out time is 11 am. If you have an early arrival into Las Vegas or a late departure, you can always inquire with the front desk about the availability of early check-in or late check-out accommodations. In most cases, you’ll have to pay a small fee.
If late check-out or early check-in isn’t available, Westgate will hold your luggage at the property at a guest’s convenience.
Reservations
Reservations for the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino can be made online or by calling the resort directly at 888-796-3564.
The minimum age for check-in is 18 years. This is younger than many other hotels in Las Vegas that have a minimum check-in age of 21. This doesn’t mean that you have to be at least 18 to stay at Westgate. It just means that the person who reserves and pays for the room must be a legal adult and have identification to prove their age.
Resort Fee
Like many hotels in Las Vegas, the Westgate Resort charges a daily resort fee. At Westgate Las Vegas, the resort fee is $39.99 per night, which is about average for what other resorts charge in Sin City. The resort fee is added to the cost of the room and is subject to tax.
Pets Allowed Policy
Westgate Las Vegas Resort Casino does allow pets but with some restrictions. First, by pets, they mean only dogs. Other pets, such as cats, rodents, birds, snakes, etc., are not allowed. There is also a two-dog limit, and whether you have one dog or two, the combined weight cannot exceed 60 lbs. There are also breed restrictions, with breeds that have a reputation for being aggressive not allowed.
Travelers who bring their pets will pay an extra non-refundable fee of $150 per reservation. If there’s a failure to have the dogs reported, there will be an additional $150 fee charged to the room. Guests with dogs should not have them in the common public areas unless they are passing through, and pet owners are responsible for all cleanup.
Those with service animals do not have to pay additional prices for pet fees. However, it’s a good idea to contact Westgate directly to make sure you’re clear on their service animal policy. They don’t consider emotional support animals to be service animals.
Parking

The Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino offers something that we don’t see much of in Las Vegas, and that’s completely free parking. Guests and visitors to the Westgate Las Vegas resort can park for free in the property’s parking garage. The parking garage offers ample space, so it’s usually fairly easy to find a decent parking space.
The one downside is that the parking garage is not attached to the hotel itself, so you’ll have to take a short walk, but for free parking, it’s worth it.
Another standout feature about Westgate Las Vegas parking is that they also offer their valet services for free. Of course, it’s customary to tip the valet attendants, but there is no charge for the actual valet services themselves. Valet parking can be found right in front of Westgate at the main entrance.
