Buffet Stations & Menu
The buffet at Luxor Hotel is a brunch buffet. They serve both breakfast and lunch items for the entirety of their hours of operation. Here is what to expect for each.
Luxor Breakfast Items
The buffet at Luxor has all of your usual suspects for breakfast, like French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, corned beef hash, bagels, toast, and several variations of home fries.
However, they also have several more unique options like diablo eggs, chorizo, and eggs. There are also classic comfort items like biscuits, gravy, and grits.
The most popular breakfast item is the eggs benedict and omelet station, where you can customize your made-to-order omelet.
You can also expect sweeter breakfast selections like apple crepes, fruit, and donuts.
When the buffet at Luxor first opens in the morning, they focus more on breakfast, but as time goes on, they add more lunch selections. However, some lunch items are always available, even at the opening.
They have an impressive 30-foot salad bar with a variety of greens, toppings, and dressings. The pizza station is also rather popular, offering a thick, crispy crust.
Other selections include soups, chili, pasta, a taco bar, and sides like mashed potatoes and potato pancakes.
Luxor Carving Station
A carving station also has varying selections, such as whole roasted chicken, prime rib, roast beef, and sausages.
Seafood Station
You’ll find shrimp, crawfish, oysters, and even a sushi station for seafood lovers. But Luxor Buffet didn’t make our list of the best seafood buffets on the Strip. Come see who did!
Desserts
Everyone loves a good sweet treat after a good meal. Luckily, you can find pastries, puddings, custards, ice cream, cakes, and more on the buffet at Luxor. They also offer sugar-free options for those who are looking to cut their sugar intake or have health considerations.
Drink Options
Regarding drinks, in the base price, iced tea, coffee, Pepsi products, and milk are included. However, for an additional fee, you can take part in their all-you-can-drink house wine, draft beer, and cocktails like mimosas and bloody marys.
Ambiance & Decor
Similar to how
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be surrounded by ancient stone columns, hieroglyphics, sphinx statues, and beautiful tiles. While the entire Luxor Las Vegas property has an ancient theme, the buffet area really transports you.
How Luxor Stacks Up to Other Buffets
Every Las Vegas buffet fits into a few different categories. Either they are a value buffet, or they are one that has the highest buffet quality, one set out to offer the widest variety, or they focus on specialty items.
If we had to categorize the buffet at Luxor, we would say it is by far a value buffet. It is not the worst buffet in Las Vegas, but it is also not one of the best restaurants available on the Strip.
It comes in at a good price for how much food you can get and has some of the premium items you expect from other MGM Resorts’ buffets, like the carving station, omelet station, and seafood. However, diners often prefer the Excalibur buffet or the Buffet at MGM Grand.
Despite not ranking as one of the best Las Vegas buffets on the Strip, if you have a big appetite and are looking for a delicious brunch option that won’t break the bank, Luxor’s buffet is a great candidate.
It is also excellent for families because it has a lot of the cooked food that kids love, such as pizza, tacos, and pasta, not to mention the reduced children’s pricing.
Location & Map
You can find the Luxor Buffet on the lower level in the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. You’ll need to walk to the back of the main casino floor, where you will find Pyramid Cafe. Not far from there is an escalator that will take you down to the buffet on the lower level.
