Seafood Restaurants In Las Vegas

Nothing beats fresh, beautifully prepared seafood. Seafood restaurants in Las Vegas offer a wide variety of cuisines, preparations, and price points.

Maybe you’re looking for a fine dining experience or just want a quick meal of fresh fried fish and chips. Whatever you’re craving, Las Vegas has a seafood restaurant ready to welcome you through its doors.

We all know that the quality and freshness of the seafood are crucially important when choosing a seafood restaurant. When building our list, we made sure to look at freshness first, then the quality of the menu and price point. Here are our favorites.

Seafood Restaurants On the Las Vegas Strip

Ocean Prime

Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab

If you were to ask around for the best seafood restaurants in Las Vegas, there’s a good chance a lot of fingers would point the way toward the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, where you’ll find Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab. The name is a mouth full, but it also contains everything you need to know about what to expect when you sit down to order.

The tradition of Joe’s Seafood Prime Steak & Stone Crab started way back in 1913 in Miami, and now you can enjoy the deliciousness right in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

They’re known for all the delicious stone crab options. They’re served chilled and are accompanied by Joe’s mustard sauce, which, in our opinion, is a must!

In addition to the stone crabs, some other favorites on the Las Vegas seafood menu are the Chilean Sea Bass (my personal favorite), Seafood Pasta, and Seafood Platter.

However, there are menu options for those who aren’t interested in seafood, and they offer a kids’ menu that’s filled with typical favorites that kids love.

Mastro’s Ocean Club

  • Location: The Shops at Crystal second floor
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $100+
  • Cuisine: American

Mastro’s Ocean Club, located in the Shops at Crystals, is known for its fine-dining ambiance and fresh seafood dishes that are prepared in a way that the flavors of the fresh fish shine through beautifully.

This is not the place to go if you’re in the mood for fish & chips with a side of hush puppies.

For an appetizer of Lobster Cocktail, followed by an entree of Sauteed Sea Scallops with a side of Wild Mushroom & Black Truffle Gnocchi, this is where you can enjoy an elegant ambiance and dine on some of the best seafood in Las Vegas.

Mastro’s Ocean Club has a strict dress code (no super casual or athletic wear), which is enforced regularly.

Lakeside

  • Location: Wynn Hotel
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $100+
  • Cuisine: Mediterranean

Lakeside at the Wynn Las Vegas is a beautiful, romantic restaurant where you can dine by the waters of the Lake of Dreams. With the exception of fine steaks, the menu at Lakeside is almost exclusively built around seafood. For a romantic dinner with a beautiful atmosphere, we’ve found Lakeside to be one of the best seafood restaurants in Las Vegas.

What do we recommend? We’re glad you asked! The chili-rubbed charred grilled octopus is our favorite way to begin a meal, followed by the Bouillabaisse, which features roasted shellfish, rouille, and crispy saffron rice, all in a delicate seafood broth.

We highly recommend the patio seating, where you can also share dessert and watch the Lake of Dreams show that runs nightly every thirty minutes beginning at dusk.

Estiatorio Milos

  • Location: Venetian Hotel
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $100+
  • Cuisine: Greek

Estiatorio Milos at the Venetian Resort is one of the best seafood restaurants in Las Vegas for those that truly love everything about fresh fish and seafood. With Greek and Mediterranean influences, this seafood restaurant delights at every turn.

There’s a full menu to choose from, including sections of sashimi, caviar, and fresh whole fish that’s flown in daily from the market. From there, you can have it prepared in a number of ways to your preferences. It’s like catching it yourself and bringing it directly home to prepare – but better because you don’t have to do any of the work!

Favorite dishes on the menu include Tuna Tartare, Cured Salmon, Loup de Mer baked in sea salt, and Lobster Salad.

There is a selection of entrees on the menu that aren’t seafood-centric, but unless you despise seafood and are only eating here to appease your dining partner, then you’d miss out by ordering something other than the fish and seafood.

Water Grill

Water Grill is nestled in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace and is a must-visit seafood restaurant in Las Vegas if you love the freshest fish and a raw bar as much as we do.

First, the ambiance of the dining room deserves mention. It’s contemporary but warm and gorgeous. It’s impossible to walk in and not immediately feel at ease and pampered by the attentive staff.

There’s a live tank with seafood that likely arrived just a few hours before, and the menu is fulsome. The raw seafood bar and sushi bar is by far one of the freshest and most decadent we’ve come across.

If sushi or something from the raw bar isn’t calling your name, a chilled shellfish tower or the shrimp scampi with garlic, olive oil, and white wine never disappoints. We also suggest ending your meal with maple cheesecake or the key lime pie with toasted meringue.

Michael Mina

  • Location: Bellagio Hotel
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $100+
  • Cuisine: American

Even fine-dining restaurants in Las Vegas can feel a little crowded and busy sometimes. This isn’t the case at Michael Mina, where you can be whisked off to enjoy your seafood dishes made from the freshest ingredients from a quiet, quaint table next to the Bellagio Botanical Gardens

The menu is worthy of a special occasion, with dishes like tuna tartare and a lobster pot pie with brandied lobster cream or lobster gnocchi. It all sounds a little rich, but the flavors and textures are perfectly balanced, especially when accompanied by a nice glass of wine from the expertly curated wine list.

Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House

  • Location: MGM Grand
  • Type of Restaurant: Casual
  • Price Per Person: $50-$100
  • Cuisine: New Orleans Creole

Chef Emeril Lagasse is a name that many know and love. His restaurant, Emeril’s New Orleans Fish House, at the MGM Grand, is the place to go if you long for Creole-style seafood that’s loaded with flavor. The menu is mostly seafood dishes, except for an entree of Wagyu beef and a few appetizers and sides that aren’t seafood-focused.

If you’re looking for suggestions, our favorites on the menu are the Fall River Clam Chowder, the Creole Seafood Boil, and the Whole Mediterranean Sea Bass for Two, which are perfect for sharing for date night.

Seafood Restaurants in Downtown Las Vegas

While there are only a couple of seafood restaurants downtown, and both are inside the Golden Nugget, these two are some of the best in all of Vegas.

Chart House

  • Location: Golden Nugget
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $50-$100
  • Cuisine: American

As we take a turn to the fabulous Downtown Las Vegas seafood restaurants, our first stop is at the Chart House.

Located in the Golden Nugget, the Chart House offers one of the most fun dining rooms of any restaurant on our list. This is largely due to the 75,000-gallon aquarium in the center of the main dining room. It’s just really fun to sit, enjoy a meal, and watch the beautiful exotic fish swim around.

When it comes to the menu, we’ve found the seafood to be consistently solid in quality and freshness. We’ve never had a bad meal here, or for that matter, a mediocre one. Choose popular dishes like wild salmon or mahi mahi grilled with olive oil and served with baby vegetables.

Finish your meal with a creme brulee tasting – three flavors chosen for the day. A treat you don’t find anywhere else!

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse

  • Location: Golden Nugget
  • Type of Restaurant: Fine Dining
  • Price Per Person: $100+
  • Cuisine: American

Steakhouses in Las Vegas are almost as well-known for their seafood as they are for their premier steaks, which is how Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse made our list of the best seafood restaurants in Las Vegas.

Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse is located in the Golden Nugget on Fremont St and has won numerous accolades from the likes of Wine Spectator, Gayot, OpenTable, and USA Today. While we often sing the praises of their steaks, we’re taking a turn and focusing on the delicious seafood this time.

The seafood tower with rock lobster, shrimp cocktail, oyster, Alaska king crab, and seafood martini is one of the best we’ve had in Las Vegas – and it’s perfect for sharing with a small group of friends. When we’re feeling glutenous, we order the lobster mac & cheese with a side of asparagus and have zero regrets.

If you’re looking for a nice, elegant restaurant to enjoy seafood in Downtown Las Vegas, Vic & Anthony’s is a winner.

Seafood Restaurants Off the Strip (Local Favorites)

You won’t find these hidden gems on the most popular lists, but if you’re willing to travel off the Strip, you’ll find some of the best local favorites for seafood, where you’ll get a great deal and some amazing dishes.

Oyster Bar at Palace Station

The Oyster Bar at Palace Station is just a few minutes off the Las Vegas Strip on W Sahara Ave.

It’s a low-key spot that’s open 24 hours a day. There’s limited seating, and – get this – they don’t take reservations. So, snagging one of the eighteen seats is all up to luck and good timing. Our pro tip is to try to go during off hours so you won’t have a long wait to get in.

This probably doesn’t come as a big surprise, but this place is known for its oysters. There are also clams on the half shell, New England or Manhattan Clam Chowder, Cajun Peel & Eat Shrimp, Gumbo, and Pan Roasts. The Palace Pan Roast is the best, in our opinion.

We could go on because we absolutely love this little place. But we suggest you try it for yourself and then let us know what you think.

Bajamar Seafood & Tacos

At first glance, you might be a little skeptical of Bajamar Seafood & Tacos. While it’s located on Las Vegas Boulevard, it’s not at all on the glitzy portion known as the Strip, where all the major resorts are.

Instead, it’s on the very southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, down a little ways past the Strat. It’s an arguably unassuming spot, but trust us – for casual seafood dishes with authentic Baja flare, this is some of the best seafood in Las Vegas.

Some of the popular dishes (and our personal favorites) include the Surf & Turf Fries, the Spicy Shrimp Tacos, and the Baja Tour Tostadas.

Bajamar Seafood & Tacos also has a location on Blue Diamond Road.

Legends Oyster Bar & Grill

There’s just something about finding a great restaurant tucked unassumingly in a Las Vegas strip mall. We discovered Legends Oyster Bar & Grill on the recommendation of some locals, and we’ve never looked back.

It’s not a huge place, and once inside, you encounter minimalist, almost industrial decor. It doesn’t necessarily look like you’d expect a great oyster to appear, but the food will completely change your mind.

Of course, there are the oysters, but the menu offers so much more than that. For example, a huge lobster roll that you can enjoy hot or cold, gumbo, jambalaya, pan roasts, cioppino, a Louisianna boil, and so much more deliciousness.
