Las Vegas hotels are known for their glitz and glamor, but that doesn’t mean that they all come with an exorbitant price tag to stay at them. Many visitors to Las Vegas feel like the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip are out of reach financially, but we’re here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. We know all the spots to stay on the famous Las Vegas Strip that doesn’t require maxing out your credit card or winning big at the casinos to cover your costs.
Scoring a Great Deal On Hotels In Las Vegas
Some of the most famous hotels in Las Vegas are located on Las Vegas Blvd, also known as the Strip. The Las Vegas Strip is the epicenter of everything Vegas, and it’s where the famous hotels and casinos call home. The Bellagio, the Cosmopolitan, Caesars Palace, and the MGM Grand Hotel Casino are just a few of the big names you might recognize.
What we’ve learned from our time in Sin City is that it’s possible to find some really great deals on hotels in Las Vegas on the Strip. You can even find really great deals on the hotels and resorts we just mentioned, although we might not exactly classify them as “cheap” – you can often find mid-range prices for rooms at these hotels.
But, what we’re talking about here is rock bottom prices. The type of prices that are so cheap you actually get giddy when you find them. The Las Vegas Strip offers a variety of mid-range and budget-friendly hotels that are right in the heart of all the action. The trick is knowing how to find those prices.
One way is by connecting with sites like ours that actually work to find some of those great deals for you. You can also check out and compare various booking sites for the lowest rate possible. Some hotels in Las Vegas also offer a price match program, where they’ll match and beat, or at least honor, the lowest price you can find. You have nothing to lose by contacting the property directly and asking about their policy.
The next thing to be aware of is that pricing at hotels in Las Vegas is highly dependent on the season and local events. When hotels in Las Vegas are expecting a high demand for their rooms, they’re going to jack up the prices. If you have the flexibility to do so, try to plan your visit to Las Vegas during times when tourism isn’t at its peak, and there aren’t any major events or conventions in town.
Budget-Friendly Cheap Hotels On the Las Vegas Strip
Treasure Island – TI Hotel Casino
Treasure Island is located on the Las Vegas Strip and is reasonably priced enough to find a spot in our list of cheap hotels on the Strip. Treasure Island (TI) is a Radisson Hotel property and is most well known for its fun pirate theme and great entertainment options. In addition, TI Hotel offers Tower Suites, if you don’t mind spending a bit more.
Standard prices put TI Hotel more in the “mid-range” category, but it’s so easy to score a deal on one of these rooms that you’ll hardly ever actually pay the full price. It’s not at all uncommon to pay less than $70 per night, plus resort fees. It isn’t that the Sahara Las Vegas doesn’t welcome families and children. It’s just the atmosphere here is more relaxed and not quite so over the top. In contrast to bright colors and flashing lights, the Sahara Las Vegas is more refined and elegant.
The Sahara hotel offers several styles of rooms and suites, but you’re likely to be limited if you’re looking for rock-bottom prices. You can usually find a room for no more than $50 per night, but it likely won’t be one of the larger rooms with a more sophisticated design.

It’s so large and so bright that it can be seen from space.

What To Look For In Cheap Hotels In Las Vegas
When you’re looking at cheap hotels in Las Vegas, the price isn’t the only thing you want to consider. Just like everywhere else, you can find cheap hotels relatively easily, but there are other factors you want to consider.
Quality
Once you spot a price tag that appeals to you, the next thing you want to do is check out the guest reviews and look at pictures of the hotel. It’s fine to look at the images on the hotel website, but some real-life experience review photos are worth their weight in gold or casino chips.
Find answers to questions like whether the hotel is extremely outdated, how comfortable the beddings are, and what type of reputation the hotel and the staff have. If you’re staying in a hotel because you like their list of restaurants or bars, do a little research on those, too, just to make sure they’re not all hype.
Amenities
Every traveler to Las Vegas, NV, has a list of amenities they need in a hotel room. Generally, the cheaper the room, the less fancy the amenities, but that doesn’t mean that the ones that are offered are subpar by any means.
If you’re someone who’s coming to Las Vegas to experience the VIP life and expect luxury bedding, spa bathrooms, and floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the Las Vegas Strip, you might want to set your price point higher than the budget hotel category. If you don’t mind simple, comfortable, and basic, there are plenty of cheap Las Vegas hotels that will do the trick.
Most hotels list right on their sites all of the amenities that are included in their rooms and the resort.
Resort Fees
That great price of only $30 for a hotel right on the Las Vegas Strip might seem a bit too good to be true. In full disclosure, it is, but not because you’re being scammed in some way. The price you’re seeing is true. It’s just that almost every resort in Las Vegas, with the exception of a few, charges resort fees.
Resort fees are daily fees that are added to the price of your room, and this is in addition to taxes and other fees. Resort fees are intended to cover the cost of amenities like pools, fitness centers, free wifi, guest services, and more. Resort fees can range anywhere from $20 per day upwards to closer to $50 per day. If you booked a budget $20 hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, the resort fee might more than double your costs.
Location
Finally, consider the location. All of the Las Vegas hotels we’ve mentioned here are right on the Las Vegas Strip, which is perfect if you plan to mostly stay on the Strip for your sightseeing and entertainment. Once you start moving away from the Strip, hotel prices start to drop, and hotel deals are easier to find.
Also, think about what you want or need to be close to. If you’re in town for an event or conference, you might prefer a hotel that is closer to the City Center or Las Vegas Convention Center. While Las Vegas makes it easy to get around town with its transportation options, if you’re more interested in something like the Fremont Street Experience, you might find that staying in Downtown Las Vegas is not only more convenient but also cheaper.
