Palms Las Vegas

Palms Las Vegas is a newly remodeled, modern hotel just a hop, skip, and jump away from the Las Vegas Strip. In 2021, the Palms was purchased by the San Manuel Tribe of Mission Indians and went through an impressive remodeling. If you’re looking for a refreshingly modern and luxurious resort in Las Vegas, the Palms is a worthy contender.

New Ownership & Renovation

The Palms has changed ownership hands several times since it first opened in 2001. It started with the Maloof family and Station Casinos, and after several changes in ownership and majority holdings, the Palms eventually came under the ownership of Red Rock Resorts, which is the parent company of Station Casinos.

Most recently, ownership was transferred to the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians in a deal worth more than $650 million. This has made the Palms the first Las Vegas casino property to be under Native American tribe ownership. The Californian San Manuel Tribe also owns the Yaamava Resort in southern California.

Upon acquiring ownership, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians invested in a $600+ million renovation, which has transformed the Palms into one of the most modern and luxurious hotels near Las Vegas Boulevard.

The reopening included the naming of a new general manager – Cynthia Kyser Murphey – by the San Manuel Gaming & Hospitality Authority. Returning employees were excited to embrace the newly remodeled resort, and the Palms opened with a bang – including a fireworks show as part of the celebration.

Rooms & Suites

Palms Signature Rooms

Ivory Tower Rooms

Ivory King Bedroom

The Ivory rooms are the version of your typical standard room at Palms Hotel. They’re available in two versions – a single king and a double queen. Both styles of rooms measure 440 sq ft, which is about average for most standard rooms in most hotels.

Amenities in the Ivory rooms include a super-comfy Serta pillowtop bed, spa-inspired bathrooms with a walk-in shower, minibar, 48-inch television, free WiFi, and a nice little window-side sitting area to take in the views.

Fantasy Tower Rooms

Fantasy Tower Rooms Queen Bedroom

The Fantasy rooms are a step up, in our opinion, from the Ivory rooms. They’re spacious for a typical standard room and offer sleeker decor and great amenities compared to other rooms we’ve seen in a similar category.

Fantasy rooms are all 510 sq ft, except for the Fantasy Executive Two Queens, which measures a bit larger at 620 sq ft. All of the rooms come with nice amenities, including a marble bathroom with a walk-in shower and backlit vanity, a nicely stocked marble mini bar, a 65-inch television, free WiFi, and more. Some Fantasy rooms also feature curated art.

Fantasy Tower rooms are available in the following configurations:

  • Fantasy Two Queen
  • Fantasy King
  • Fantasy Strip View King
  • Fantasy Executive Two Queens

*Extra beds may be available upon request.

Dining

Scotch 80 Prime

Scotch 80 Prime

Scotch 80 Prime is a high-energy fine-dining restaurant at Palms Casino & Resort. Scotch 80 Prime offers wood-grilled steaks from some of the finest ranchers around the world, with selections including filet mignon and dry-aged bone-in ribeye from American ranchers and a boutique Wagyu collection of A5 Japanese beef.

Scotch 80 Prime is open daily from 5 pm until 10 pm, with social hour happening daily from 5 pm until 6:30 pm. An in-house DJ provides music on Friday & Saturday nights, while a pianist offers music and entertainment on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Vetri Cucina

Vetri Cucina

Vetri Cucina is an elegant, authentic Italian dining experience at Palms. With a focus on small, sharable plates and an intimate atmosphere, Vetri Cucina is a wonderful restaurant for a meal with someone special or a few close friends. Our recommendation? The almond tortellini with parmesan and white truffle is divine.

Vetri Cucina is open Tuesday through Saturday from 6 pm until 10 pm. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday.

Mabel’s BBQ

Mabel’s BBQ

Chef Michael Symon brings the BBQ game to Las Vegas with Mabel’s BBQ. There are both classic and innovative BBQ dishes, all with a distinct flair. Our favorites are the pork ribs with pickle glaze, the Big Mike burger, and the crispy shrimp tacos done up Baja style.

Mabel’s BBQ is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant is open from 4 pm until 11 pm. On Sunday, Monday, and Thursday, the hours are 4 pm until 10 pm.

Tim Ho Wan

Tim Ho Wan

Get ready to enjoy the ultimate dim sum experience at Tim Ho Wan at the Palms Resort. Featured menus on the dim sum menu include deep-fried shrimp toast with foie gras sauce and black truffle and the steamed Wagyu bundle with green apple. We try something different each time we go, and we’re never let down.

Tim Ho Wan opens daily at 10 am. On Friday and Saturday, the restaurant closes at 9 pm. Every other day of the week, they close at 8 pm, which is a bit earlier than most other restaurants in Las Vegas.

Send Noodles

Send Noodles

Are you craving a delicious bowl of hot, steamy noodles late at night? If so, then Send Noodles is your place. You can’t go wrong with house ramen, but the more complex dishes are equally wonderful. The pho is delicious, as is the garlic baby bok choy. Indulge yourself because this restaurant is also quite affordable for Las Vegas.

Send Noodles opens daily at 11 am. They stay open until midnight every night, except for Friday and Saturday, when they extend their hours until 2 am.

AYCE Buffet

AYCE Buffet

There’s no shortage of buffet action on the Las Vegas Strip, but AYCE Buffet at Palms Casino & Resort gives the others a run for their money. There are seven distinct food stations (World Pan is one that we repeatedly visit), and they offer Lobster dinner on Wednesday and Thursday and Lobster & Snow Crab dinner on Friday. Brunch is also offered on the weekends.

Serrano Vista Cafe

Serrano Vista Cafe

Serrano Vista Cafe is a place where you can get some solidly good eats any time of the day or night. They offer yummy comfort food, plus a few elevated dishes throughout breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Serrano Vista Cafe is open 24 hours a day, except on Tuesday & Wednesday, when they’re open from 6 am until midnight.

La Popular

La Popular

La Popular offers authentic dishes from Mexico, plus what they call an “agave-centric” cocktail program that results in delicious, potent cocktails. They also offer an all-day breakfast that includes either breakfast tacos or chilaquiles verde. Yum!

La Popular is open Friday – Sunday from 11 am until midnight and Monday – Thursday from 4 pm until midnight.

Laguna Pool House

Laguna Pool House

Located at the pool area in the Palms, Laguna Pool House offers a great escape and delicious eats. Enjoy coffee or a light meal in a sleek, relaxing atmosphere while being only mere steps away from the pool – especially if you grab a seat on the outdoor balcony.

Palms Pizza

Palms Pizza

Palms Pizza serves up great slices and whole pizzas that will keep you satisfied, even if you’re just stopping by to refuel yourself for a few more hours on the casino floor. There are standing tables where you can eat, but this is mostly a grab-and-go place.

Palms Pizza is open from 11 am until midnight daily, except for Friday & Saturday, when they stay open until 2 am.

The Eatery

TheEatery

The Eatery is the food court at Palms Casino & Resort Las Vegas. Choose from Panda Express, Earl of Sandwich, the Coffee Bean, or McDonald’s. Hours at The Eatery vary by location.

Bars & Nightlife

Bars & Nightlife at Palms

Palms in Las Vegas offers a great nightlife scene, with popular bars like Ghostbar and Tonic Sports Bar. Whether you want to hang out someplace swanky or low-key, these bars have you covered.

  • Ghostbar
  • Unknown
  • Tonic
  • West Casino Bar
  • Rojo Lounge

Shows & Entertainment

Pearl Concert Theater

Palms Casino & Resort is home to the Pearl Concert Theater. Unlike many theaters on the Vegas Strip, the Pearl Theater doesn’t offer any resident acts or shows, but it is a great spot to enjoy concerts from some of the most notable musicians around.

Some names you might recognize in the lineup at Pearl Theater include Pat Benatar, Counting Crows, Kenny Loggins, Lamb of God, Peter Frampton, The Cult, and more. Check the current events calendar to see who will be on stage when you visit Las Vegas.

Pool

Soak Pool

Soak Pool

The Soak Pool is one of the most uniquely designed pools we’ve seen in Las Vegas. It’s a two-level pool area with cabanas located on the upper level. With the cabana rental, you get your own private pool that overlooks the main pool below.

Even if a cabana isn’t in the budget, you’re sure to have a splashy, sexy time at this pool complex. Palms Casino & Resort does offer complimentary admission for locals who are 21 years or older, which is something most Las Vegas pools don’t offer.

Soak Pool is open Monday – Friday from 10 am until 6 pm. Guests of all ages are welcomed to the pool area during this time.

Things are a bit different during the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, guests of all ages can swim and sunbathe from 9 am until 11 am. From 11 am until close, Soak is an adult-only venue.

Laguna Pool

Laguna Pool

Laguna Pool is located in the Palms Place Tower. It’s spacious and laid back but feels more private than Soak. The hours at Laguna are also a bit more accommodating. It’s open on weekdays from 10 am until 8 pm and on the weekends from 9 am until 8 pm, and there are no age restrictions at all during these times. Unlike Soak, Laguna does charge an entrance fee of $50 on the weekend for locals. Non-locals will need to pay an entrance fee during the week also.

Spa & Fitness Center

Palms Spa

Palms offers a relaxing 17,000 sq ft spa with fifteen indulgent treatment rooms where therapeutic and restorative treatments take place. This spa is self-indulgent pampering at its finest.

There are three levels, including a Hamman, a spa menu with a full range of massages and body treatments, and a serene atmosphere that you’ll instantly relax.

For those of you who were familiar with Drift Spa at the Palm, that spa is no longer open.

Fitness Center

Palms FITNESS CENTER

Another one of the property amenities at Palms is the fitness center with state-of-the-art fitness equipment (and a lot of them, so there’s usually no waiting around for someone to finish). Access to the fitness center is included with the resort fee for Palms guests.

Casino

Palms Casino

The casino at Palms is a gorgeously designed modern space with all the classic table games, more than 1,500 slot machines to try your luck at, and a high-limits room for when you’re really feeling lucky. There’s also the William Hill Palms Sportsbook for those who want to place their bets on the next big game or race.

Hotel Policies

Check-In & Check-Out Times

Check-In and check-out times at Palms Casino & Resort are pretty standard. Check-in is at 3 pm, and check-out is at 11 am. Early check-in and late check-out may be possible, with an additional fee, but this is based on availability.

Resort Fees

Palms Casino & Resorts charges a daily resort fee of $39. The resort fee covers access to the fitness center, toll-free calls, and in-room WiFi.

Pet Policy

Palms Casino & Resort doesn’t allow pets to stay in their rooms and suites. Of course, the exception to this is service animals. The Palms does follow the ADA description of a service animal, which they quote as “a service animal is a dog that has been individually trained to assist a person.”

Parking

Palms Parking

Palms Casino & Resort is one of the few properties in Las Vegas that offers completely free parking. This amenity is extended to both guests staying at the resort, as well as those just visiting, to try their luck at the casino, enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants, a concert, or any other of the experiences the Palms offers.

Free parking includes both self-parking and valet parking services. There are no EV charging stations currently available.

Map & Location

The Palms Casino & Resort is located at 4321 W Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV, 89103. The Palms isn’t located right on the Strip, like Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Aria, and some of the other big Las Vegas hotel names. However, it is close enough to the Strip that all of the entertainment and attractions are close by.
